The Baylor Red Raider soccer team hosted Meadowcreek (Atlanta, GA) on Friday afternoon. Baylor scored three goals in the first half and one in the second led by Antonia Basan's hat trick.
Alberth Valcarcel scored the first goal and Antonia Basan scored the next two. Basan had an assist on Valcarcel's goal. Heath Techasiriwan and Harlan Watson-Brown had assists on the other two goals.
Basan scored his third goal of the game off an assist from Philippe Laforge early in the second half to close out the scoring.
"Meadowcreek has some very talent players that are very good on the ball," Curtis Blair said. "I thought we defended very well and finished the chances we created early. We are still a work in progress, but I thought our mentality and character was much better today than against Johnson on Monday. We have three very tough games next week and we will start preparing for those matches."
Baylor improves to 6-1-1 on the season.
