After four departures into the transfer portal following the season, the Tennessee basketball program reeled in a highly-touted transfer portal prospect on Monday afternoon. As posted to social media, former Hofstra guard Darlinstone Dubar will be transferring to Tennessee after a visit to Knoxville this past weekend.

The 6-foot-8 wing guard averaged 17.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 33 games played this season and had standout performances against some of Hofstra’s toughest opponents including 24 points and eight rebounds in a loss at Duke in November.
Dubar is also a nightly double-double-watch player. His scoring didn’t have any problem reaching double-digits this past season, only scoring nine points or less on two occasions. Dubar tallied eight point-rebound double-doubles this season including a 24/11 game against South Florida on the road after Thanksgiving.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, native shot a near career-best from the field and three-point land this season at 53.9 FG% and 39.9 3FG%. Dubar finished the past season with a career-best from the free-throw line (73.4%), offensive rebounding (1.6), defensive rebounding (5.2), rebounds per game (6.8), assists per game (1.4), blocks per game (0.9), and minutes per game (34.6).
