The Tullahoma High School baseball team took two games against Central Magnet this week to stay first in the 3A District 8 rankings.
The ‘Cats are now 18-6 overall on the season and 6-1 in district play.

The Tullahoma High School baseball team took two games against Central Magnet this week to stay first in the 3A District 8 rankings.
The ‘Cats are now 18-6 overall on the season and 6-1 in district play.
 Tullahoma was led by Jayron Morris in the second game against Central Magnet. Morris started the game on the mound and went six innings allowing just one run and striking out six batters. Hunter Hogan took the ball in the seventh and picked up a save, striking out three batters.
The ‘Cats only had six hits as a team, Mason Bratcher had two of the hits. Hogan, Morris, Baylan Tuten and Trevor Cole recorded the other hits. Bratcher, Hogan and Cole picked up an RBI. The team took four walks. Andrew Fulmer, Tuten, Colton Emory and Bratcher drew the free passes.
On Monday when Tullahoma went to Central Magnet they won 6-4. The Wildcats had a 5-run first inning that was too much for the Tigers to overcome. Evan Tomlin had two of the four Tullahoma hits. Bratcher and Hogan had the other two. Bratcher hit a three RBI triple in the first, followed by Hogan’s double to plate Bratcher. Tullahoma took a base on balls three times, were hit by one pitch and were awarded first on a catcher’s interference once. Tuten drew two walks. Bratcher took the other. Fulmer was hit by the pitch and Morris reached on the interference. Tomlin started the game for the Wildcats and went five innings striking out six. Tuten relieved him for a two-inning save giving up one hit, walking one batter but getting all six outs via strikeouts.
Tullahoma starts the week going to Marshall County on Monday and then they will host the Tigers Tuesday. After those two games the Wildcats will have just one District game left, it is scheduled for Thursday at Franklin County. On Friday the ‘Cats will be hosting Community for senior night the game is scheduled to start at 6:30.
