Head coach Jonathan Brown had to make some more room on the mantle last week as Lady Falcon tennis brought home district championship and region runner-up plaques.
The district title came at the expense of a 7-0 sweep of Marshall County. Olivia Swindall, Allie Grace Newton, Maggie Franklin, Kate Pierce and Chloe Gibson all won their singles matches to clinch the championship.
Those same five would all lose their singles matches to Cookeville, ending the Lady Falcons’ team record for the season at 17-2.
The individual region tournament is this week. Swindall will compete in singles and the team of Newton/Franklin in doubles. Both are just two wins away from the state tournament.
