Tennessee Lady Vols Softball team earned their highest ever national seed heading into the 2024 NCAA tournament.

Over the weekend, the Lady Vols showed why they were awarded that seed, going three for three to advance to Super Regionals.

Tennessee opened up the Regional round with a 3-0 win over Dayton before defeating Virginia on back to back days with a 12-0 run rule victory on Saturday and a 6-0 win to move on.

Not allowing a run in the regional, Karlyn Pickens and Payton Gottshall combined for 24 strikeouts, only giving up one walk and seven hits through 19 innings of work.

Wrapping up an impressive weekend, the Lady Vols secured the program's 13 Super Regional appearance. Tennessee will now host Alabama next weekend with a trip to Oklahoma City on the line.
