East Tennessee Dominance

Postby orcat » Fri Oct 30, 2009 7:47 pm

Strangely, all of the people on here are silent about the dominance of the eastern part of the state in this years championships. Boyd B (state champs); Red Bank (state champs) DB (state champs) Webb, runner-up.

Chat boards like this are fun, but we have to remember that most of the people that post are moms and dads. For some reason the majority of the posters are from the Nashville area (middle TN) teams. All year East TN (and yes everybody in the state except (2) posters considers Chatt East TN) have been overlooked. I stand by my previous posts that the level of volleyball is strongest in east TN, as shown by 3 of the champions coming from the east side of the plateau. But this is not a surprise. Middle TN has some great programs, 3 of the state's best are Brentwood; Father Ryan and Page, but ET has more, and an overall higher level of play, we just don't post as much as PH.

The Nashville area produces some great teams when special players come through like Greenbriar and Independence the last few years, but look at what ET has every year.

We are as proud of our teams in the east, but don't post as much. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I think she's tryin' to say that, in ET anyway, they play and don't post...as much as us in MT.

Oh, and it's GreenbriEr. Please pay attention as you POST.

YOU are becoming our PH. :?

Sorry 5-sport!!! Your team does travel to east becasue GreenbriEr won a couple of east TN tournaments when you had the back-to-back state champions. Maybe coming east to get better works?

Do you think you could give some of these other schools a road map

:D

Trust me, here in East TN beating AC is SWEET! Oak Ridge ended their 13 year string of state tournaments this year, and it was at Oak Ridge

OC, we did the road map thing but it took us to Kingsport. And I forgot, we did the roadmap thing and it took us to KC last year.

You must be talking very recent history, because state title winners in volleyball are dominated by middle and west tennessee teams, so I guess you are speaking of this season only. The most noteworthy team from the Knoxville area till this season was Anderson County who has won one title, DB, one title, so try thinking before you post, you are starting to lose credibility or have you been tipping that shine they make up there in the mountains. I am surprised that you still respond to PH concerning posting, anybody knows that number of posts have nothing to do with volleyball success, or Seagull would never lose.
