Catholic made 2 serious runs at the lead, but fell short both times.
It was a very interesting game, with the GP defensive effort being of special note. For a pre-season game, it was very intense and very fun to watch.
Excellent scrimmage for both teams. The difference in the style of play for each team made for a great learning experience for both teams. I was very impressed with the defensive effort shown by GP. Typical Catholic effort. Kept the score close and put themselves in a position to win late knocking down some big shots. I know the Irish haven't done much offensively in practice yet so I expect improvement there and they were missing what will be 2 key players in Williamson and Hall. GP has some serious athletes but were obviously hurt in losing Rasham and Macho. The only real weaknesses that I saw from them were outside shooting and ballhandling. Very good upsides for both teams. I look for both teams to make runs in the tourney.

So ... GP has now lost two of the incoming transfers? I knew one of the kids had moved, but I wasn't aware that another one was gone???

GP lost the two guards but still have the two bigs which are very solid.

Game situation type scrimmage with free throws and stopping the clock. Catholic won by 6. Started off slow but finshed strong.

GP did in the preseason. Pressure half court man to man in the first half then zone in the second. Good rebounding. Great intensity. Only hit 1 three vs man to man. AE is still very athletic no matter what anybody says. Also had two guys who hit multiple 3's, which made them even more dangerous.

Pryor didn't play b/c of football, he'll make a difference inside.

I don't think Pryor is playing.
