Shelby County’s Weeks places fourth at state

Shelby County senior Chase Weeks finished his high school wrestling career with a fourth place finish in the AHSAA Class 5A state wrestling championships Feb. 16 in Huntsville.

Weeks dropped his first match of the tournament 4-2 in overtime to Arab’s Tony Robinson.

He rebounded and won two straight matches by decision to advance to the 5A 160 pound third place match.

Weeks battled Muscle Shoals’ Raheem Harris to a decision, but lost on a 6-2 score.
