Troy added its first men’s basketball transfer of the offseason on Thursday, signing former Texas Tech and Air Force forward Corbin Green.

Green, a 6-foot-5 native of Midlothian, Texas, appeared sparingly in nine games for the Red Raiders last season. He played in 36 games the previous two years with the Falcons, starting 12 games and averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds.

“We are very excited to have Corbin Green fill our last open roster position,” Troy coach Scott Cross said. “Corbin is a big, physical, athletic post player that can block shots on one end of the floor and tear the rim down on the other end.

“I have known Corbin for years, as he used to attend our basketball camps back when he was in middle school. We are very excited that he has decided to join our program, and we are confident that he has the character and the talent to help us win another championship here at Troy.”

Green — who has one year of eligibility remaining — joins high school signees Javen Colbert (who averaged 32 points per game as a senior at Decatur High School in Texas), Tony Montgomery (Columbus, Ga./Carver) and Emmanuel Clarton (Sumter Central) as offseason additions for the Trojans. Troy finished 23-11 last season, sharing the Sun Belt Conference regular-season crown before winning the conference tournament and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017.

Troy lost four starters through the transfer portal: guard Tayton Conerway, the Sun Belt Player of the Year (who signed with Indiana), forward Jackson Fields (West Virginia), forward Myles Rigsby (Tulsa) and guard Marcus Rigsby (Texas-Arlington). Reserve forward Randarius Jones also entered the portal, but has not yet announced a destination.

Everyone else on the Troy roster in 2024-25 is eligible to return next season, including starting forward Thomas Dowd and perimeter-shooting specialist Cooper Campbell. Reserve forward Theo Seng was listed as a senior last season, but as a former junior-college transfer got an extra year of eligibility due to the NCAA’s Diego Pavia ruling.
