Leopards, Lady Leopards host CAC in season-opener

It was a tough task and season-opener for the hometown performers as visiting opponent CAC swept road wins against Malvern.

The Lady Leopards came out tough and competed hard, but unfortunately, the 2024 Class 3A girls state runner-up CAC Lady Mustangs displayed a dominant performance in victory, 10-0. The Lady Mustangs surged to a quick lead in first half action. CAC opened up to a 6-0 down to the 20:51 mark—then later scored again at the 17:40 mark to lead Malvern 7-0. The Lady Leopards contained the Lady Mustangs offensive execution for the next 14 minutes defensively, CAC ignited two more goals scored in the final two minutes to play in the first half. In the second half, the Lady Mustangs added one more goal, but the Lady Leopards kept their intensity of fight progressing until time expired.

For the nightcap match-up in the senior boy battle, the Leopards and the CAC Mustangs showcased a competitive contest for their 80 minute bout on the field. But, from their two 40 minute halves, the Mustangs prevailed 4-0.
