While we enjoy all things football, I have a special prayer request that I would ask you football gurus to pray for. Coach Ryan's mother has gone in for emergency surgery this afternoon. Please remember her and the hospital staff in prayer. The bond between a mother and son is like no other, but this one is extra close. They are best of friends. Thank you, I know the family and Coach Ryan will appreciate it!4 points

Kevin38 I have always respected you as a poster. You have always seemed knowledgeable and a good guy. But with all due respect, if I choose to respond to someone about zoning I will. You said “we”. You do not speak for everyone on these boards.3 points

The QB for LC is almost a carbon copy of Swafford for meigs only difference is no coverage for LC by media at all or he would be Mr Football 1A2 points

In my years of knowing Springfield football we have only had 1 transfer player in the last 10 years and that was a QB from California in 2014.... Springfield isn't a hot spot for players to transfer to so they can get big offers and play college football lol this just isn't that. In the last 20 years we have only had 4 D1 football players! This is a program build on past players son's and brothers coming up and reaching there dream of playing Springfield football. Everyone on this Jackets team including coaches and support staff (Excluding maybe 3 coaches out of 20) are Robertson County born and raised. This is a small town football team that is build off tradition and family's. I promise you can keep us out of the zoning talk, if wasn't for rezoning and some of our players we should have being sent to our rival up the road and a 1A school outside of town we would be LOADED. Lets talk this state game! Both programs deserve that!2 points

Good to have a little fun last night with the donkey and the other characters. But looking for a great game Friday. Best wishes to Holden Willis as he goes to Nashville today and prayers for the Ryan family.2 points

Hometown camaraderie.... That's the term I like to go with. In small towns those Friday Night Lights can light up the entire skyline. It's quite the opposite in the larger cities where bright lights can outshine those Friday Night Lights. That's why you gotta love small town football.1 point

They do have speed and a lot of size but I’m not sure about their game planning. Covington actually outgained them 334-175 with 23 first downs to 10 and were the much smaller team on the field. I feel like if they would have utilized their passing attack more that they would had more yardage as they could’ve beaten the Covington secondary with long passes. I believe they only attempted a couple and completed one for a monster gain that turned into a TD. They did enough to win and that’s what matters but it won’t be enough against Alcoa if they underutilize their strength.1 point

Throwing rocks? I happen to know the kid family you're referring to. You want to talk about the beech RB who stays in Nashville? Y'all sound like clowns, trolls and haters. I dont like the firechickens at all but that's lame.1 point

I think it’s a little bit of both. Majority fans on here from NET and East TN are Oak Ridge, Maryville, Alcoa, Greeneville, AC and Dobyns Bennett fans. Almost no Central fans. Surprised there aren’t more Summit/Mid Tn fans talking about this one. But hey, I’m here . How ya been Hatter?1 point

the oak ridge 2020 season thread almost has more replies than this one does. do those guys just have no lives and/or are obsessed with a mediocre team or does no one care about central football? just baffles me. go bobcats!1 point

Yup. But, I'm think that the earlier Alcoa-Maryville game is showing to be two of the best teams in the state this year and, I think for the next couple years to come!1 point

I hope so that's the fun part when you're a player going to get and watch all the other teams and some of the ones that you actually played.1 point

To spread out? 150+ miles one way for Johnson County/Claiborne games. As for Alcoa it was hyperbole. The USSRTODAY and Knoxville News Senseless would not let one their pet schools slip away. LOL1 point

I’ve seen Aloca and PC both live this year. In my opinion PC will have to play near a perfect game to beat Aloca. I’ll be pulling for PC but I believe Aloca will win somewhere in the range of 31-141 point

If he wins its because people know who he is based off his entire career at Greeneville. I think he has a great shot at it imo. Yes its a season award but I think if he wins its because of his Career1 point

Central's defensive quickness should come into play. I don't look for a high scoring game.1 point

Lod ain’t it funny when we had a Democrat in office we never had the money or equipment we needed ?? Like ammo or combat related equipment or spare parts . But Air Force one was always ready to haul a plane full of ahole politicians somewhere at a moments notice1 point

You may have a region plaque the last 2 years but we got a silver ball last year and several playoff winner plaques after we put you out. But our large row of Gold balls trumps anything that the waterboys possess.1 point

I’ll have to go with central in this one. They are the more experienced team when it comes to big games like the state championship game. Plus the central defense is very tough to score on.1 point

I got Central in this one! That Defense will win a 2nd championship in as many years! Back to Back!1 point
