I would say the top five are the teams already listed. Cumberland County is a top ten team but they haven't played a top tier team yet. In fact, looking at their schedule they may not play a top tier team until tournament time. I know they have played good teams but there is a difference between beating good teams (Blackman, Beech, McMinn) and beating top tier teams (Riverdale, Upperman, Westview). And no I haven't seen Cumberland County play. Doesn't matter either because all is opinion right now but in time we will see which opinions are more correct.

I think Brentwood is a dark horse this year. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up being a threat in February. Very underrated. Undefeated on the year, put a whoopin on Summit and beat Father Ryan. I know Ryan may not be at full strength yet but a win over the purple Irish is a big deal. The Bruins are good. Keep your eye on them

It Drives me nuts too , especially when they make a big deal about Maryville and Alcoa having 16 Tied together ... for those who say it was before playoffs , well I guess all National Championships in D1 College football doesn't count before 2014 ... The AP Voted Maryville the 1964 State Champion , that's how Championships were decided then ... I Promise you , if a Knoxville School was in the discussion , backyard middle school championships would be included , And If Cade Mays was on that Backyard team Mark Packer would make sure it went national !! lol
