  1. Many teams are blessed with talent year in and year out. You see most repeat time after time at the glass house and that's great. On the other hand you have teams that unfortunately is not in that same scenario that have to work their butts off to get there. Each 8 teams deserve to be where they are due to high level of talent and hard work. I did watch Unaka the other night they have talent maybe not as much as the west teams but I witnessed a group that came together and played their guts out I seen one girl get crushed by two players and came back in to finish the game limping and I witness another one sliding for a loose ball and ending up hitting the door frame and landing in the hall way so yes maybe the west has more talent but I guarantee you these eastern teams won't go out without a fight.

  2. Howard is a great player who has been allowed to play her true position for 4 yrs, which has allowed her to amass tremendous stats. In contrast Alexander is a great kid who was offered by the same schools at the same 2/3 position, while having to mostly play in the post for Riverdale. Still able to achieve almost 1,800 Pts and 800 rebs. Both will make tremendous impacts(Howard at Kentucky)&(Alexander at Vanderbilt). They'll compete against each other for the next 4 yrs and it should be fun watching! Don't be surprised if both make the SEC all freshman team!

  3. I don't know anything about aau, but you, not I, said that your coach violated the rules. I don't know which rules you admitted were broken. Tssaa rules are all that matter. I personally believe that no school coach or any one affiliated with a school should be allowed to coach aau. Rick Insell and shelbyville should have ended that 20 years ago.

  7. http://tssaa.org/departments/past-tssaa-state-championships/ Don't take my word for it look it up yourself. Ignorance is bliss man and you are very ignorant when facts are presented to you when it comes to A ball. " Class A girls basketball it’s the Upper Cumberland teams that have dominated the landscape for the past 20 years. ". What I posted is all FACTS!

  11. As a sophomore she was nominated for Miss Basketball. The same year she scored 20 points in the 4th quarter against Haywood to advance to the state semifinals. As a junior she was voted Miss Basketball and she and her team won the state championship. As a senior she and her team are undefeated as of now and are district and region champs. She is nominated for Miss Basketball for a third time. While she wasn’t playing school ball she was playing with EYBL Nike Flight and was runner up the past 2 years at nationals playing against the best in the country. You are just a hater and thank goodness your opinion means absolutely nothing!

  13. Makes since that the only coaches that didn't want the best 2 teams in state to pla in opening round were reuter and Riverdale coach. They should be on opposite sides of bracket anyway. The best 2 teams in state shouldn' have to play each other because that means its more likely that one of them could be upset in the semis. Good luck to all 8 teams and go bearettes

  14. They leave for reasons beyond their control, (move, financial reasons, etc), as I've said before it's not Bradley's fault theyre in a "weak" district

  15. Its not my list its ESPN's list. Call ESPN and tell them they are wrong along with all the other coaches that have given Levy Offers. Quit your Job and become a scout i'm sure it would pay more anyways. Ive seen both the other 2 players play and if you think they are the #6 and #7 player in the nation then you need to lay off the drugs. Both good players but not as good as Levy at the PG position.

  17. You gave them praise once they beat Pickett County 2 years ago before that it was "Pickett County wins this game by 15+. They play tough teams all year long in one of the toughest districts in the state. " Before that you said the exact same thing about South Greene playing no one in the regular season and getting in because they of their location too.

  18. I think with the Pubs it`s really hard to keep a good coach. All good coaches are looking to get to the private level (Division 2 AA paying over $100,000 to most football coaches) or looking for the better job at a larger public to come open. I just wonder what the level of payment at CA is compared to the local schools in Maury County? I do know my daughter was a starter as a freshman on her high school basketball team (at one of the bigger high schools in Maury county, none on CA`s schedule) and refused to play her next three years of ball. Why? Poor coaching. Really a nice person (the coach), but no winning attitude. This falls into needing a teacher to fill a slot that wasn`t qualified to coach. Weather CA is recruting or not if there is good coaching for a program the athletes will always show up. I wonder how many good athletes might be walking the halls instead of playing ball at these other schools. By the way, does CA allow students the chance to work to help pay for their tuition? I think Division 2 allows this. And don`t eat pig poop, I don`t know first hand but my dogs tell me it`s not that good, and they are experts.

  19. Of course it is different in every school district. Our players are expected to raise $400 dollars each for new lockers this year and additional option uniform color and an additional 200 for their nike package (cleats, compression shirt, practice shorts and top and game day polo for 300 you get all that plus your nike sweat top and bottom All in that is truly not that bad but that is where it falls on parents to step up and do their part. Way too many parents take the attitude "My kid is a starter.. I am not volunteering for anything. No concessions, no pre game meals, no field clean up..... nothing... You end up with the same 10 people doing everything and you wonder why you don't have what Maryville has or what other schools get. If you expect your kids very best then you gotta pony up and do your part. I have watched Maryville fans continue t support the team beyond the time their kids play... winning is a culture and you have to cultivate the attitude in the community if you ever want it to thrive beyond an occasional season. Just a thought

  20. Johnny’s spelling aside, who else can claim best of Will/Wilco? Indy won all their games in 5A and had a rough time in 6A this year. Brentwood is closest contender but lost last year with one of their self proclaimed best teams ever... Any other contenders? Johnny looks good in that black and red Rebel but ain’t gone be wearing no Power M. Who else goin compete in region 6 next year? Johnny said Indy/Ravenwood will be favored. Johnny Just Sayin’

  21. My guess, the coach doesn't win coach of the year in the district due to other league coaches still being upset players leave their schools/school districts to go to Bradley. And no, thats not implying any rules are broken.

  22. Living in this area and reading all things basketball (all levels) it doesn't appear to me that anyone that matters is "whining" about anything. "Grow up and get over it" ???? Who are you referring to? LOL All I have read indicates that a 17 year old girl was "disappointed" and used that event to get incredibly motivated after she was not selected. Seems pretty normal to me. Ms. Howard is as special of a player as there has been in this area in a long, long time. Maybe summer ball would have garnered her a couple more votes for McDonald's, but my understanding is she knew where she wanted to go to school and decided to use her summer to work on her individual skills. Her hard work is obvious to all. And as for the "better offers" comment, would National Champion South Carolina qualify or maybe TN Lady Vols or should I go on with all those other major top tier programs that have chased her all over for 2 years only to be turned down by Ms. Howard? She may or may not win Ms. Basketball. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is she is already Ms. Basketball. I hope she and other young folks ignore this stuff, but if you are looking in, good luck Ms. Howard. Chattanooga is proud of you. Now back to the thread about AAA "TEAM" basketball.

  23. Very sad to see someone hide behind a "name" and slander a young man and a great school. It is a sign of the times I suppose to speak cowardly about things you really have no information on.
