  1. I’ve seen way too many excuses by our fan base on here and Facebook. It’s Saturday the game is over, and Gibson is the king of the rivalry this year. Let’s just give this upbringing program a congratulations for coming to our place and handing us what we have needed, and that’s a good game and possibly a lose because there for a while it was starting to get like the crap didn’t smell around here. Once again great job on a fine ball game.

  2. When Riverside came out and went up 17-0, I kept saying, "We're going to need a lot more when they get to clicking." I was referring to the Tiger's slow start over at Huntingdon, when ya'll got down 21 - 0 and then went toe to toe with them the rest of the way. I do think we shocked early on, but the gravity of having players like 11, 37, 45 and 10 among others really weighed on us in the second half. There were no fights, no extremely game-changing penalties, no major injuries on our side and hopefully none on the Waverly side. I just don't see Waverly losing anymore until deep, deep in the playoffs, and then maybe not. This is your best shot at a gold ball IMO.

  7. No worries here Goldenpride. Like i said earlier 4000 people live in Trenton and you have about 25 village idiots that cannot cannot accept getting their butts sand papered. Earlier this week it was all fun bashing their opponent, talking trash and bragging about how they were going to stomp GC ..........until they lost. Actually i think it is hilarious. The sad part is they are making fools out of themselves and the fan base of Trenton. They have set this team and coaching staff on a pedestal and expect blowouts. Now they cannot accept defeat with out blaming the wet ground, the refs, coaches and not wanting to hurt anyone feelings etc, Get a grip Trenton. 14-18 year old kids will let you down in sports sometimes....it happens.....geeee. You have a good staff and very good players, shut up and move on.....dang. Its about these kids not you. You guys remind me of the liberal media spreading fake news, complaining and wanting to protest.....lol. Peabody is a very good team, the boys will recover and i think they will make a very good run but I'm not so sure about some of your fan base. Don't take this wrong what I am about to say. GC was the better team last night and they were prepared. The bottom line is you guys were exposed in a couple areas. The D and O lines are big, but slower than what i was expecting from all the hype of earlier post. I didn't see 4.4 speed anywhere on the field. Actually, Rico ran 70 yards for a TD with 3 defenders 3-5 yards behind him. BTW, He is not the fastest guy on our team. I could be wrong but your QB was the only one that got outside on us and gained significant yards. Your QB is VERY athletic and gained some yards on us. I think he was rushed, sacked and hit hard a few times and his passing accuracy declined causing a couple interceptions. Your running back is a hoss. Good linebacker play. The goal line stand was a slug fest. Eight plays from the 11 or 12 yard line, 4th quarter, clock running down........classic. Bottom line is.....you got to finish. There is no doubt in my mind your coaches will have this corrected before the next game. I think you guys will be dangerous now. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way out.

  10. Holler at me. If you come to Peabody it will be a big night for me. Senior night for my son. My other son with the Marines is flying in to surprise his pop. It will be a good night win or loose.

  12. Riverside get healed up and focus on the next game. You guys play as a team and team will always beat a couple of atheletes. I expect Some noise from you guys in the playoffs. Time for a short memory. Friday is over. Bigpun give them the wisdom. I know You been around long enough like me to know. Haha

  14. Yes but IF Ut would have loaded the box and IF we brought the safety down and IF the refs called holding UT would have won. Hahahahahahahha

  17. If Im correct in my beliefs, Major if. I believe this senior quarterback has been trained since Freshman year on running veers and other runs. The senior quarterback last year had always been a passer, that's why I believe that last year was so so detrimental as they were trying to force an option quarterback into a passer role. Turnovers for MC seem to be coming off bad communication during the options which I'm sure we will see tons of during Fridays game. It's gonna be a great game nonetheless

  18. EN has two monster games to end regular season. They play PC first then turn around a week later and play Clarksville NE.

  19. You're right. East has had a great season thus far. I guess I'm just not totally sold because of previous years... and I don't think they would be undefeated with Pearl Cohn schedule. But you are also right when they meet on the field all of this discussion will be a mute point.

  20. Here is the point. If Peabody is supposed to be that good and collect a gold ball then a blown call or bad calls from refs should never be a deciding factor. A team that is supposed to be so great should not be trying to survive on 4 plays from the 2 yard line at the end of the game. If Peabody is supposed to be so great then they should have been up by 40 then those calls don’t matter. GC is for real and beat Peabody. That’s just the cold hard facts.

  23. The umpire most certainly had to ice his flag throwing arm after last night. Some guys want to come out there and try to be invisible and let the game take Center Stage. Others think that all those fans in the stands pay their $7 to come watch them call the game. He called ‘em on both teams, so he didn’t discriminate. He just threw way too many of them. I have several good friends that are white hats or officials. Had one tell me a few years ago, he had an umpire that thought he was the show in the first half. They went to the locker room at halftime and he went up to him and stuck his hand out. The umpire said, “What?” White hat said, “Give me your flag” the ump wasn’t heard from in the 2nd half.

  24. Bleacher I think your list is good. I think an argument could be made for EN to be 2 at the moment. They have beaten everyone on their schedule including 4 MW. Obviously the EN PC matchup is looking to be a huge game for both teams and probably will be the first of two meetings.

  28. I hate to hear what all is going on over there. One of my good buddies from college has a cousin on that team, and I occasionally see him. I knew Saturday night when we went out and ate and he was telling me all the stuff that goes on during and after practice that this man is not right for the job... he has taken the love of football out of the young man, and for any hs coach especially football to do that is pretty sad.

  29. If you ask me I think tonight's loss was the best thing for Peabody. In my opinion this was equivalent to waverlys loss to CA last season. But luckily for the Tide it came before do or die so they can rebound. I still say Peabody is one of the top contenders and will be even more of a threat from here on. Congrats to GC on a huge upset!

  30. It’s long overdue Estes gets the boot. This man is a cancer behind the scenes, and he’s lost the locker room. There’s nothing he’s doing that’s inspirational to kids.

  33. FACTS are there is much more to this story than T'ers know. The browbeating, negativity, rants, character assassinations, insults, out-of-control yelling & screaming, and de-inspiring & demotivational methods (in locker-room & practices) that our current coach's heap upon this team of amazing young men MUST be stopped! It would be a huge injustice to ignore these facts and allow our players to keep suffering under the current system. Those on the perifery and outskirts looking from far off and commenting out of ignorance will do our team more harm than anyone. Of course Dresden haters love to see this happening to our program, and want things to keep getting worse by allowing things to deteriorate more & more if we remain as is. But those in Dresden with more info than posters on here (who are on the outside looking in), & who care enough about all of Dresden's players, future, & even community, we feel it's time to say what needs said. We have a "cancer" which must be dealt with. Even if we were undefeated & ranked #1 and our coaches were doing this, then the same conversation would be happening (& now the naysayers will really go wild in disbelief). THAT is the truth. Those are the facts. Time will reveal all. Plus... every anti-Dresden poster has been saying we have a history of bad practices and bad coaching, unending fouls & penalties (even in our winning seasons), undisciplined play, and because of all this karma is now kicking our butts (& rightfully so).. well... guess what? WE AGREE! YOU'RE CORRECT! SPOT ON! AND NOW IT'S TIME TO CHANGE! TO LIVE UP TO OUR POTENTIAL! TO CREATE AN INSPIRING, RESPECTED, COMPETITIVE PROGRAM THAT HELPS MOLD THESE PLAYERS INTO MORE THAN SIMPLY GOOD PLAYERS, BUT HELP THEM BECOME AWESOME PEOPLE AFTER THIS GAME, TO INSPIRE THEM TO DO GREAT THINGS IN WHATEVER PATHD THEY CHOOSE. SO YES, DRESDEN LIONS NEED TO REPENT OF OUR PAST WAYS & PRACTICES AND MAKE THE NECESSARY POSITIVE CHANGES. WE MUST DIG UP THESE POISONOUS TREES & PLANTS FROM OUR PAST AND IN IT'S PLACE TO PLANT WORTHY, GOOD SEEDS THAT WILL BEAR AWESOME FRUIT. YES, IT IS VERY MUCH TIME TO CHANGE...WE HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT, & ARE NOW SAYING PUBLICLY WHAT HAS BEEN PRAYERFULLY, CAREFULLY, & INTENSELY DISCUSSED BACK & FORTH. TIME TO CHANGE... as so many in the world of HS football have said for so long. And now we agree, WE AGREE.. and thus we are trying to have a great, positive, inspiring, awesome program that all our parents & players are proud of, and other teams enjoy playing us (even proud to do so), and all the referees enjoy calling our games. We are now the program others point to and say, "Wow! Now that is how to have a great, awesome, football program". ... And these steps toward change & positivity, toward divorcing our current & future players from our penalty-filled, undisciplined, & embarrassing tactics, NO MORE of this junk, it's time to change. And still the haters hate, naysayers criticize, and anti-Dresden mobs smear what we are trying to do. WAKE UP T'ers! What you wise folk have pointed out as being inherently wrong, systemically broken, and the harmful tactics that injure Dresden and those we play... WE SEE IT, WE SAY IT'S TIME TO CHANGE, AND WE ARE TRYING TO DO SO. So why criticize? Question? Spin this negatively & falsely into something it isn't. You should be jumping on board with both feet saying "Full Steam Ahead". We are wanting to do what has been wisely suggested by others for quite a while now. We are agreeing & now seeking to repair & cure the mess we are in. Readers should br ecstatic! When, oh when will these naysayers see the truth? Time will tell. Meanwhile, there is a train started called Dresden Needs New Coaching. And we'll see just how full that train becomes when the silent majority, who at the moment are quietly watching... and they'll see that the time they have hoped for, wished for, & wanted is now upon us. The moment is here. The time is now. And those agreeing with all this are here too, & they know the truth of all this. And realize the importance of this moment. Of course it won't be easy, it will be hard & difficult, some will misunderstand & disagree for whatever reason(s), but this needed change will be worth it! Love for all of our Lions, for the whole team, and an understanding of the big picture and ultimate results motivate us. We are wanting to go from worst to first.. from being at the bottom of penalty ridden games, undisciplined tactics, unsportsmanlike history, uncalled-for arrogant "stunts" & "digs" we've done after good plays, an unwholesome disrespect for other teams and even referees, ... ALL these negative stunts that have happened, WE WANT IT TO STOP! (And so have masses of CoachT'ers challenged us to do!) And instead of this bad stuff we eagerly want to have a coach & system that will do all the helpful & good football tactics & habits. This positive, disciplined, classy sportsmanshop style of play is what we want to be known for. Our reputation & legacy. It's possible! It's essential! It's necessary! ...and it should be a cause & event that almost everyone should support & then they help spread this good news all over. How anyone could be against this is beyond me. Boggles my brain. Which is overtaxed now, so I outta here for awhile. P.S. CoachT'ers, if you would simply stop knee-jerking your reactions. Then pause. Read what is said (instead of an instant emotional retort). Research the whole issue. Ponder the motives and end result of it all. And above all think of what is best for each & every player, for their families, and everyone in the community. And hopefully you'll see the light. But maybe you wont. We all will see soon enough, won't we?

  36. This is true but the way our current coach treats the boys is what most of us are upset about. Winning and losing is an afterthought for most of us. Look at how Dresden has been talked about this year. "You deserve this" and "Dresden is always dirty". We do not want that reputation anymore. This coach has only made things worse. Kids flipping each other off, yelling at coaches. All I have heard and seen from him is total disrespect for the boys. Yelling and cussing them is no way to teach high school boys how to be men. Football to most of us is about teaching these boys hard work, humility, and how to handle success/ failure the right way.

  37. They were chasing Ozzy Rico down the sideline on a 70 yard touchdown run!!!!! You Peabody fans straight up disrespected Gibson County all week! No if’s and’s or but’s about it... straight disrespect and you just got served! Congrats to Gibson County players and coaches! I’m glad for you guys! You deserved this one!

  38. The growing grassroots opinion is... time for another coach. The sooner the better. I have held off long enough, and tried being upbeat & positive & supportive no matter what. But to close your eyes & deny the blatantly obvious of what needs to be done, that is just crazy. It's hard & tough when all the evidence & tests are in, and the doctors say, Sorry, you have cancer. You must have this surgery now... and this is the clear need I think... and many others to. It is what it is.. and my hope & prayer is that all the "decision makers" at Dresden will think of our future, and the big picture. It's crushing and ripping at my heart to say all this, but the truth is the truth. And there is a petition I understand out there to get this process started. Better days can be ahead for Dresden, and will be IF, & ONLY IF the higher ups do what clearly needs done. If they don't, it is no telling how long this demise in Dresden will continue. Maybe back to being bottom feeders & everyone's easy-win homecoming game. If they step up & man up and do the right thing, I have no doubt the proper man will be found to coach our Lions back to the top. What is happening now, the only cure & remedy is a drastic, immediate, & painful surgery. It may hurt now, but wait until you see how we heal up and recover. IF the tough decisions are made!

  40. Yates ability to move as well as he did covered up a bad offensive line from the very beginning. Dresden is depleted. Big bodies on the sideline who have no heart or want to to play the game. Our head coach is young and is learning. We have a assistants who have been at Dresden WAY to long who need to give it up. Other assistants who Arent as good as they think they are.
