  1. I agree. They also have Station Camp and Wilson Central as common opponents. Gallatin went 1-1 in close games and Hendersonville beat both by a combined 50 points. Its a rivalry game so who knows but I think that Hendersonville is a couple scores better as well.

  2. We're getting a little bored across the river here in Mustang land. We go to Wayne Co this week which is always a lot of fun. Love their fans. They've treated us pretty nice off the field. Hopefully we can get a win at their place. We're on pace to even the series next year. Cornersville can't get here soon enough. We've got Perry Co and Middleton last two games. Y'all will like our place when you come to visit. We'll treat you nice off the field. Our facilities are among the best in the state and we're very proud of them. We're looking forward to matching up with you guys. We very much respect the type game y'all bring!

  9. Looks like gbrpats deleted his account. I see no trace of him anywhere in previous threads, and that was his thread. I guess it went poof when he did. That kinda sucks. He was definitely emotional, but I liked that dude.

  11. I don’t really see fatigue being a factor. Their #1’s might be better than Gallatin’s 1’s or their 2’s better than the Wave’s 2’s but I do not see conditioning being a factor. Gallatin has 80 plus players this year and I bet Hendersonville has at least 70+ without me even seeing their complete roster. The Commandos could very easily beat the pants off of Gallatin this year or the game could be tight down the stretch. This rivalry always has some twists and turns.

  13. Tennessee High and Boone will give Crockett a good game, the other two will be over by halftime. But I see Crockett as unstoppable this year. I really hope they go 9-1 but just don't see it happening. If all goes as planned the Musket Bowl will feature Crockett (8-0) vs Boone (7-1).

  15. You’re ranked in my poll as you should be. The top 4 teams in the east are Meigs, Trousdale, Tyner, and Watertown. You’re game at Tyner in round 2 should be a dandy.

  16. I hope we keep starters in for the whole game. I want to see 100 points. Especially on Richland.

  17. I’ve got plenty of respect for MC I've said all year they’re the dark horse of this region. I think Friday nights winner will be the region champ. MC has got a solid football team, they run the ball pretty dang well.Thats the only problem, the are too one dimensional, they run the same 3-4 run plays 75-80% of the time. The veer with the FB getting up the gut or the QB keeping it around end, the option to #3, or the QB keeps it. Then the pitch on the outside sweep to #3.In my mind the biggest problem for the jackets of the 3 is going to be the FB, he’s a mismatch for the line and linebackers. It’s going to be interesting to see how the coaches adjust to him. I still think the Jackets offense is going to have to much fire power for MC in the end though.

  20. That's part of it lol. Back in 97-98 Clint listed our guys down, He had 2 guys listed at 265 (Michael Scruggs and Cory Timberlake) and Michael was about 295 and Cory about 280 and both could run like deer, Scruggs had offers to play in SEC but chose not to, But the sad part was we were playing a team in the playoffs, and the their coach was watching our kids getting off the bus, and counted out the guys we had 260 and he asked Jerry, "I thought ya'll only had 2 guys 260, not 3. He was referring to TC Payne. lol

  21. I would say I'm partial yes. Funny how you guys at Meigs know who I am but I don't you. Dont be skeert. Say hello sometime. I wont bite. Maybe we can talk some football.

  23. I predict if this happens, the AP poll will still have TC just outside the Top 10.

  25. I predict Trousdale at home on the Creekbank round 4 to play Meigs. Call me crazy, but a little unranked team versus the #1 ranked team in 2A sounds fitting for a football game the day after Thanksgiving!

  26. Honestly right now i believe the you gotta put your money on the ole Purple Tigers from Watertown. They are playing lights out. Still question marks with TC and plus they will be on the road for 2 rds if it's God Will they make it that far. Watertown is in the drivers seat with home-field set for all of playoffs....Until they are beat, ill go with them.

  28. I’m sure they will be tough and no one is overlooking them. And also we know Waverly has that great receiver. In 2015 we had the best receiver that Ambassador said he’d ever seen at this level of football. That didn’t win us a championship

  29. You meant 21-0 in the first quarter, Bass. Halftime score was 27-21 and the Rams outscored BC 28-7 in the 2ND half. We won't be able to get away with that in November. Whitwell and TC is a toss-up game! Wish I could be there but I will be watching the updates!

  30. Coalfield will play tough but Greenback will be too good. On another note. Look for Greenback to be dominant again in 3 to 4 more years. Their midget team won the Blount County Super Bowl. They beat Alcoa,Fairview and the Maryville Bears twice. Their only loss was to the Maryville Rebs. I saw the Rebs vs Greenback game. Greenback has this 12 year old kid that is 6'2 265lbs. He can move well for a kid that size. That kid will be scary when he gets in a good strength and conditioning program. Greenback had other good players also.

  32. BDR Poll 1. Peabody 2. Meigs County 3. Columbia Academy 4. Watertown 5. Waverly 6. Tyner 7. Trousdale County 8. Union City 9. Gibson County 10. Lewis County i agree with ambassador that Peabody still comes out of the west and still think they are the best team in state despite the loss. UC received a beatdown last year by Adamsville and still ended up in cookeville.

  33. I know. That was case weeks ago also. Just yanking on your chain a bit. You tend to dose off at times

  34. They'll make it in eventually. For all we know these Trousdale people may be paying the AP to keep them off their poll.

  37. Not missing players but the weather messing up practice and the school board calling off all extracurricular activities which throws off the routine during the week. They were not as prepared as they should have been. I don't think that will happen again this season. At least I hope not.

  38. Here is how I see R1/R2 ending up: R1: Crockett Boone Tennessee High Cocke County R2: South Doyle Knox Central Gibbs Knox Halls BTW, Crockett ends up with an unthinkable 10-0 record. Some of you R2'ers do not really know how much drama the entire Crockett community had to endure last year, so for them to put together such a season is just.... Well all I can say is a hearty congratulations to the Pioneers. I think Crockett has a chance to win a playoff game, so perhaps R1 goes 1-3 this time against R2.

  39. Thing is with Huntingdon this yr. Different players are touching the ball instead of the same play all night with the same player. This yr teams are having a hard time finding who has the ball. All the players touching the ball are quick.
