  2. Whats everyone think on this one? I ask because I think this will be the one everyone overlooks and East Hamilton pulls it out.

  3. Gotcha. #6, #7, and #4 in my mind need a minimum of 5-6 touches apiece.

  4. Where are all these GC accounts made after last weeks win? Lol. That’s what I can’t stand about these guys they start winning in something they are talking it up, and when they lose they go and hide in their cabins and wait for girls basketball to start.

  5. Their all time golden boy (McCoin) is their play caller. I thought to Livingston people he could do no wrong.

  6. Quite simply, we're all blessed to live in East Tennessee. As for the playoff picture, it's hardly as clear as a headwater creek. And last year's win by Jefferson County over Science Hill (completely changing the playoff positions) serves as a reminder that there are no givens. But if I had to guess where teams might finish with 3 weeks remaining, I think it's most likely that D-B takes the no. 3 seed. If so, that would have the Tribe almost certainly traveling to either the Owls' Nest or Bradley in the opening round. Hicks is a pretty special RB for D-B.

  7. Pruitt is a great coach. The fans and University just need to give him time to rebuild.

  13. No doubt! My current thinking is the loser of this game will come to Fairview in round 2. Both look loaded and ready to make a run. I've saw East fade away the last few weeks of the season many times. For that reason I'll take PC in this one in a very spirited and emotional game.

  15. Just like last season you guys snuck out a win - If Trousdsle had other weapons they would have used them. You was able to key on one guy and made the stops when it mattered. A win is a win. Your concern is #9 for some reason lol ? I’m sure he will get his carries Friday night especially after the coaches watching the Whitwell Trousdale game film lol. Friday night your defense and SP defense will be tested for sure . Being honest SP offense just hasn’t clicked on all cylinders just yet . When they do , they will be hard to stop , but they aren’t there just yet. Sometimes big games bring out the best , I hope that’s the case Friday night - Just like last season here we are again except this hunt is starting in the jungle, hoping round two takes place in the Pirates pit

  16. No way i'm apologizing for my mountain heritage. As far as the water goes. I guess you better bring your own high dollar bottled water. Good luck the rest of the season.

  17. Schools should concentrated on competence in the basics. The IB programs are baloney for the most part. I have seen a downward spiral over the past 30 years as a result of losing basics in lieu of this feel good sound good equine excrement. When enrollment is too low, that is a problem. However, at a certain point, size can be too large. Teacher to pupil ratio can be a good rule of thumb to gauge a good size for a H.S. After a certain size, you are only saving money on assistant principles. Transportation also becomes a factor. But what do I know. I am just a university professor tired of seeing kids coming to college that can't tie their shoes.

  18. That’s why I said I wouldn’t count you guys out. Sometimes good things can come from a bad situation. At 2A one bad injury can ruin things unfortunately. I hate to hear about both the kids injuries.

  19. Not a big fan of either team. I just love High School Football. I haven't seen AC play this year so don't have an opinion. I have seen Greeneville a couple of times against bigger schools. All I can say is Anderson County had better be a great football team to play with this Greeneville bunch. I've seen a lot of High School football in my time. I've seen several State Champions in Virginia and Tennessee (in several classifications). This Greeneville team is as tough as any I've seen. Well coached, talent all over the field. Gonna take an awesome effort to beat them. Can they be beat? Sure. But I feel like the only team that could beat them in 4A would be themselves (turnovers, mistakes, etc.) They're pretty well coached so I don't see that happening. As far as their strength of schedule all I can say is they can't help that their region is weak (except for Elizabethton) and they have whipped up on three 6A schools in TN and a bigger school in NC. The quality of those teams this year may be down a little but it is what it is.

  20. First game jitters? Really if Carter punts sh wins oh but wait Elizabethton up 1 with 1:47 left and sh has 0 time outs and 1st and goal but no knee ehs scores and lets sh have a chance. We wont talk about last year against Greenville when Corey gets to the goal line then you give it to a lineman then keep throwing a fade. That is why I say greeneville big plus they are just better.

  22. I'm impressed with #2 and #8 ... pretty good players ... alot of the yards that Clinton got was on their own ... pass defense looked lost at times.. Fulton had alot of kids running vertical wide open most of the night ...

  24. I feel for you as a parent. Everybody wants their kid to be a winner but many times how you deal with things when you don’t win is more of a life lesson moment. I have always thought Wilson Central has played with a lot of heart. Good luck the rest of the year.
