  1. After watching the 1st drive of the Fairview Stratford game, a few observations. 1. Fairview is Big, slow, doesn't appear that good. Even look winded, out of shape & only first opening drive. 2. As I noticed, not a lot of speed. Covington backs way better. 3. Very few Statford fans made the short trip to Fairview 4. Fairview offense very basic, generic 5. Covington offense way better, crossbucks, boots & traps, jets 6.Covington backs would of scored on one of those hemmed in runs Fairview had 7. Stratford kicking game is, well I'll just let you decipher, your call 8. Covington will score early 9. Block a punt or two in kicking game 10. Open receivers were evident in Straford secondary in addition to the pi 11. Covington Defense will shout em/Stratford down, just like they did Raliegh Egypt & Pearl Cohn last year And that's only seeing one drive/Fairview on offense

  3. True. Now let's look. Started 1st possession near midfield, right? as result of atrocious kickoff or maybe your take an outstanding kickoff, right? Had pass interference call on a throw it up pass, right? Saw 3 sweeps, back not enough speed on any to get to edge, right? Score on a quick slant basically, right? Remember started near midfield/near 50 yard line. And like you said scored on first drive, start of game, what like 35 yards of offense. And from glancing at the final score, it's pretty obvious they didn't do much rest of night. As said looked Big, slow, basic. They may have looked good to you on that drive but I think an open unbiased opinion would attest otherwise

  4. I get it. I don’t buy the “pull for the SEC”. I hate Alabama all the time. If they win it helps their recruiting. I hope they lose every game.

  6. I did actually think about doing that... Problem is that since it’s the day after thanksgiving, half of the staff is already off & our corporate requires a quarter of staff to be at work. I had no idea that this game would actually happen when the playoffs started or I would’ve put in a month ago. I won’t know for sure until tomorrow. I hope you guys pack it out cause it’s always makes for a heck of an environment. It’s something the kids will always remember.

  7. I think you do care. Otherwise, why would you post the Keys to beating TC on this thread after Watertown lost to TC, and why would you say that TC is going to be so weak mentally and physically after beating H20? Do you remember being 17 or 18 years old? If you are right, maybe Waggoner should set up appointments for physicals and psychological counseling before the Meigs game. However, I think the Jackets will be just fine both mentally and physically Friday night. I think they will represent YOUR region well. That should make you happy. If they go on and win the state championship, you should be really happy.

  9. Tc wins this one 28-7! Watertown fan here i talked smack last week and had to eat crow. Tc D is stout they completely shut down a very good off in Watertown. I just believe Watertown d is better then the ones that are left. Imo the best 2 teams in 2a play last week

  10. That's what gets on my nerves!!! I'm not on here often, but when I do it's ALL about Greeneville on any thread that you get on. Like this one, you can't talk Springfield/Haywood without the Greeneville folks coming. I guess they have NOTHING better to do than to sit on these message boards all day and post!!

  19. gather round and I’ll paint you all a picture. signal mountain was classified with us during their first few years because of lower enrollment numbers when the school opened. they had a great team full of talent that would have competed well 2 classes up. anyways, both teams knew all year they would be playing for the ‘ship in the playoffs. they were basically a school made up of kids from a really nice part of Chattanooga and they where really excited. well, being children of affluence they thought it a good idea to run out on opposing teams home fields to celebrate road victories. hard to blame the kids at that point in the season, as they had done it several times that year to other teams and their fans. I imagine that the other home teams had the types of fans that sat there quietly and watched it while telling themselves, “back in the day,,, blah blah blah” sadly, for Eddie the eagle, we don’t talk that “back in day” mess.

  26. I have to agree. There may be some people who end up unhappy over this, but the buddy buddy system has to stop. They need to do what it takes to win football games, friendships aside.

  27. No need in worrying about it we can't change it regardless we just have to be ready to play the game!

  28. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, hope everyone enjoys turkey day with their loved ones, get your grub on and then find a game to go to Friday night, nothing like playoff football with a shot at the state title on the line.

  31. I agree with most of what your saying. LC will have to find some success in the passing game which they are very capable of doing. LC offense has improved leaps and bounds from last year. It's not just Johnson anymore. No doubt Cornersville has an elite defense. They are very good at what they do on offense. Cornersville is very well coached. LC has played very well in the rain this season. I think Cornersville's defensive line will give LC some problems but the LC defense is better than people think. Teams that give LC defense problems are teams with a very mobile qb that plays backyard football. See Dresden and 2nd half of Freedom Prep game. Cornersville doesn't play that way. In my opinion it will be a low scoring game. I don't see either team scoring over 20 points. The rain will effect both teams. Good luck to Cornersville and safe travel's to and from the game.

  32. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!First of all you wait until like 28 pages to show up and then when you finally do show up you come with this rubbish! General, I'm losing respect for you man. Don't band wagon jump. Stay true to your hate! Ride this thing out! Even if we win. Root for the East! You need to ingrain it in your head that you much rather see the East win it than Waverly because we gone be that much more arrogant. Take that and use it, and put all your Waverly hate behind, and we'll get that gold ball.

  33. I for one won't be expecting this to be a walk and I doubt very seriously that the team and coaches will.We all know what kind of football Region 6 plays and what kind of team Beech always fields.I have the ultimate respect for Beech posters eers and Tandem for their accurate and objective reporting on these threads.Tandem, in early 2011, predicted the Patriots potential. Early this year eers noticed this years team's possibilities and stated them here. What they say should be thoughtfully considered. GO BIG RED

  35. Looks like the weather has changed, there is now a 90% chance of rain for friday night. That should make for a real interesting game, considering the field has been soggy for almost 5 weeks straight now. Hopefully that weather pattern changes before friday.

  36. lol Polk scored 25 points on Whitwell. TC scored 7, does that mean TC doesn’t have a chance NO, it means absolutely nothing. That was the worst half of football Meigs has played all year, they were just going through the motions, they got a little motivation at halftime by the coaches lol and scored 3 TD’s and took care of business. If TC just lines up and try’s to run start at Meigs. Than Meigs will win.

We play who we schedule! Two years ago ours looked tuff just as yours may have, cant control that part.TC scheduled Whitwell who just happened to be good now but historically they are not and so on.So theirs worked out for them. Some of these teams around here are just bad.You all are about like us a good team that hasnt had to prove it yet.Well get ready we both have a large hill to climb, advance and survive!

  43. Not that you genuinely care but a while back when Catholic was thinking of moving to D2 there was talk that they would be placed in a district (non football) with schools from Nashville and Memphis and that made no sense to drive 3 hours and 6 hours to play basketball, baseball, volleyball or whatever sport especially on school nights. My daughter was on the hoops team at Catholic whose bus flipped over driving to Gatlinburg. As a parent I’d would be concerned about long drives on school nights. So the powers that be decided to put a 4 team district together for all sports and football will still go to Nashville and Chattanooga to play. I for one am looking forward to Catholic moving to DII. If they never win another title so be it. The better competition you play, the more exposure you get. People forget that Catholic played in D2 before so it’s a matter of stepping up their game against the better competition. My children graduated from Catholic and they all played sports the one thing their mom and I taught them was never run from competition and if you lose don’t make an excuse the better won. Improve your game.

  48. Maryville just a better team at every phase of the game. Farragut is clearly the second best 6A team in East Tenn but Maryville is still way ahead of the Admirals and everyone else East of Murfreesboro in 6A. Good luck to the Rebels the . rest of the way.

  49. I believe my good friend Coach Roberts is just trying to get the spotlight off his own team. They still have plenty left over at Beech. As for our team at Clarksville, we're just happy to be in the conversation again.
