  1. Understand. I would disagree if they were all the same weight on who would win. Either way all 3 of them have been traveling and competing nationally since they were very young (and have done really well). Great thing is that if you know these kids they are all great to be around and they get along with each other.

  6. Right the rules are different for D2. And you’re right it is what it is. Which is what I said in my original post. And it’s not fair. But we can’t do anything about it. It seems my bad assumptions got everyone off track. My apologies

  8. Well that is your opinion which is probably in the minority. I would take Bates and Noah in that trade period. No knock on any kid but would take 2 over just one stud, lol.

  9. From what I understand, Sevier County dropped us, creating the open date in the schedule or it would have remained the same. Clinton then moved into the spot left by Sevier County as they lined up the Region games. Then they had to try to fill an 8th game and an away game created by Clinton moving. Every potential opponent was contacted close around here, all declined to play including AC, Bearden and several others. Even checked some Western North Carolina schools, schedules didn't match up (you have to have the same open date). Both Mt. Juliet and OR were talking but each was hoping they could find a closer opponent, but it didn't work out, so they agreed to play a two year home in home with us going there first, then they come here in 2020. They are going to be pretty good and be a tough opponent.

  14. I could care less about a big name who will hang out a year or two until a new gig comes along. We want a person to commit to this program and these boys and bring the rings.

  16. Was NOT just R'dale. ALL the schools were guilty to some extent. Folks keep forgetting before I came to work for the Judges as an investigator here, I was a Criminal Investigator for the IRS. Most of the guilt was because of ignorance, but a couple were on par with some College programs. For example the kick backs that some programs were getting from equipment sellers. Funds being raised by booster clubs to provide under the table 'bonuses'. Vehicles being made available by some boosters to Coaches and even some KIDS! Apartments being made available so kids could claim the right zone..........................etc, etc..... When the investigation was launched on Blackman a few years ago, I was called but could NOT help, so I sat at home and just watched like others in the county. Shad did nothing his 'football mentor' had not done ten times over years before.

  17. I thought the host school for the district only host the semis and the finals. The first rounds I thought was at the higher seeds home floor.

  21. If what you are claiming is 100% true then my thoughts are as follows: Forfeiting weight classifications & taking a loss is unacceptable behavior on the part of any coaching staff when they have wrestlers that could have competed. I have absolutely no problem with someone sending out JV wrestlers to gain some experience if the match results will not affect your team. However, forfeiting when you have healthy wrestlers is unacceptable. The fact that someone would pull the stunt of charging admission (even $1.00) is not right and the patrons have a legitimate reason to be upset.
