I hardly think that it is coincidence that the rules for being able to vote have not been published anywhere. I want the leadership changed and Mr. Black said the only way to make that happen was through voting him out. I will do my best to keep the forum updated. JUST ANNOUNCED: No school at Bearden tomorrow so all students may attend the State Championship game!

Alot of viewers on the fb stream are complaining about fouls, but i think the defense of Bearden is the story of the day. Pember and Glover balled.

He is absolutely correct! Think about this, #20 was their primary ball handler and a leader of that team. I would guess that over half of those turnovers wouldn't have occurred. Also #5, I believe, from Humbolt wouldn't of been left that wide open with him on the court. You take someone of that caliber off the floor it makes everyone play positions they aren't used to and do things that they haven't done before. NO DOUBT they would of secured a win with him on the floor!

District 4 has some good coaches.

Yes, I like your plan. I just think the best teams to be at the boro. I realize that you do have to beat what's in front of you, but there have been years where weak regions send teams to state tournament and better teams are knocked out in close games. I think better teams need to be rewarded for their body of work. Football wise, how many times have you seen the two best teams being from the east. I remember years past when CAK and Alcoa were top AA in state. A mid or west team ends up with the silver ball, when they are not the better team. The argument is, you have to beat what is in front of you. I still feel the same way in football that top 4 football teams should play in Middle Tennessee with a flipped bracket.

Alcoa's sophomore class is loaded. 4 sophomores ( if they continue to grow and develop) could play in the SEC or ACC. The junior class has 8 offensive linemen that do not play defense. three of them are three year starters. One of them already has several offers, two more of them will. They will miss Walker Russell, but have a promising kid looking to step up. The senior D linemen will also be missed. Don't be surprised if the gap widens this year.

Funny how their defense only got better when 20 left the game. If they play CA, rebounding is going to be the difference.

Karly can play at any level and she would be highly successful. The fact is she is a freshman going up against teams best defenders and teams scheming ways to stop her. Karly would start for any team and that would be at any classification. She will continue to get stronger, more physical, skilled, and smarter over the next 3 seasons. I think everyone on this site will say WOW ! She's the best player in Tennessee ! If someone said it now, I would not be too surprised ! She will be something to watch over the next several years.

It is amazing how a school with successful athletic programs like Pearl Cohn can have football players winning track state championships, but another school that can't beat them in football tells its kids not to run track or play baseball or do anything else except football. And every year they underachieve. Good luck FIrebirds. Football, Basketball and Track all State bound.
