  1. They're AAA now but were AA when we played em but Gatlinburg has the nicest facilities weve ever been to in TN. Top 3 current 1-2A we have been to Happy Valley has a beautiful field , stadium , and atmosphere but you dress in a small weight room. Sullivan North is nice, locker room is a mile away but its nice , field is nice and stadium is HUUUUGE! you can tell it was once a much larger school. Greenback has the best 1A natural grass surface ive ever seen, Been a while since we have been there may be different now. It's in NC but we used to play Cherokee NC and its by far the overall nicest facilities we have ever been to for a small school. Cant hide that casino money i guess but its A+ Awesome! I dont really want to list "Worst" because those places are usually were you have a coach and a couple parents working the hardest to keep up what they have. Some of my favorite places to go dont have great facilities , but has awesome people , good kids , and a cool atmosphere.

  2. It is not hate. Just a response to stupidity. MJGOLDENBEARS has had a habit of making stupid comments and then running like a little girl. MJGB, I may not be as strong as you would like, but it might surprise you to actually find out what this old 'feeble' man can still do. I will admit I cannot bench 450 anymore, I figure I still got enough to handle your little BOY butt. Anytime you feel froggy I am still in the phone book complete with address. Just be sure you do not try it if the Clone is here. When he graduated from R'dale he was lifting in excess of 1600 pounds between the three main lifts. He currently benches 540 and squats over 1000 alone. The 'Old Man' is BIGGER!

  6. No Idea. They've had a few coaches since Whitby left. I don't think it's a fun place to be. There are expectations that aren't realistic anymore.

  7. I was surprised they changed coaches to begin with. I thought the other coach (cant remember his name) was doing a great job. It is a basketball town for sure though. Great atmosphere.

  8. Can't disagree with you really but historically Alcoa has better talent than Morristown East. That's where you're not factoring in better talent and better coach = better team.

  9. I cant argue any of that at all. That is all factual and great insight. I just think they got a really good basketball coach and teacher. I think he will do well there, but I could be wrong I have been before haha!

  10. Now i can agree with that statement. Collins>Parrott. But every year at Mo East it seeems like they had the district MVP. There just really isnt good talent in the IMAC. He may win a state championship next year, who knows? I just hate schools that schedule down so they can rack up wins, especially already playing in a weak conference. And I know Mo East isnt the only place that does it. But there is abig difference in winning 20 games at Mo East and winning 20 games at Alcoa. A HUUUUUGGGEEEEE difference

  11. We shall see Turtle, AE had 7 seniors and Fulton had 6. Alcoa will have a chance to win this district next year IMO.

  12. Mo east beat 5 teams last year over .500 Tenn HIgh sevier Co Mo west South Doyle (17-13) Greeneville And you have to think, South Doyle, Sevier Co, and Mo West all play in the IMAC with Mo East so even their schedules are inflated, with the exception of sevier County this year. half the teams in that conference finish well under .500 every year. and then Mo East has no big out of conference wins IMO racking up 20 wins against claiborne county, seymour, cocke county, G.P., etc.. is not that impressive. I'm not saying he can or can't coach. But alcoa usually schedules the top teams in the area. bearden, Maryville, Fulton, A.E., Grace, etc.. I was just point out facts. He may do well there, I guess only time will tell. All I'm saying is his record at Mo East is inflated by playing in possibly the weakest conference at any level in east tennessee (A,AA,AAA) Those stats are only from last year, but go back and look at previous years and count how many teams he beat over .500.

  22. -Mo west was 3-7 last year with all 3 wins coming by 5 points or less and 2 of those were against 5A teams -Heritage was 0-10 last year. Closest game was a 20 point loss -Sevier Co (5A) was 2-10 last yr and 1 of those wins was vs Heritage -Lenior City (5A) team with a losing record that WB beat last year Elizabethan - (4A) team that is over 120 miles away. This one will surprise them a little. Is Vonore on next years schedule?

  23. Coach D has a plan, definitely wants to work with the new middle school program and the youth program. It is going to be a fun ride if he can get the kids to buy in to his program. He is a proven winner and always had his kids prepared both mentally and physically to play hard the entire game.

  25. I really hope Coach Vestal stays.... with Coach Davis running the defense I think Coach Vestal could do great with the offense, especially if they can coax the "Legend" to join this group. There is potential to have the best staff in several years working together.

  27. No he’s coaching the girls at Crockett. Josh Kite said no teaching positions available so it have to be a non faculty position hopefully to have a coach in a month. I was told there been over 35 coaching changes under Kite as AD.
