  1. It would be great if it's central and Henry county 5a championship game again

  2. Regarding the immediate expectations, here's my final 2 cents on the subject, which isn't worth much. I think we'll be in good hands at QB this season regardless of who ends up starting. Sounds like this young man's upside is off the charts, and by all accounts, Bona had a very good spring and has been in the system for a couple of years. That's a nice problem to have.

  3. This is the actual Facebook post of his family member: Ryan is ranked by QBHitlist.com as the #1 quarterback in the state and #21 overall in the country for the class of 2023. Proud of this kid and the work he puts in!

  4. Look, I get what you’re doing. You’re taking up for our own, and that’s a great thing. Maybe we have went a little overboard talking about this kid, but if he and his family come to HC, he’s one of our own too, and we take up for our own right? I don’t remember anyone saying anything bad about Bona in this thread. All we did was compare the two. Let’s not stoop to talking about the incoming kid’s athleticism and arm strength. I don’t think he’ll be close to either one of these, but Brady and Manning neither one are elite athletes or have overly strong arms. You don’t have to be either as a QB in our offense. I would almost guarantee the coaches could careless what we think, and they will put the best option in there that they think will win ball games. I talked to a parent that’s seen him throw recently, and they said he stood on the 40 and threw it through the goal post. That’s 50 yards as an 8th grader, I’d say that’s plenty of arm strength. We have at least 8 really good options on offense, I hope neither QB ever has to run for a yard. I’m all for taking up for our own, but if they come then they’re part of the family in my book. Don’t forget the Bona’s aren’t originally from HC either, they just happened to come a little earlier in life than the Damron’s.

  5. Hello wrestling family! I want to get the word out there for any wrestlers that are looking to wrestle in college both next year and beyond that the MTSU Wrestling Team would love to talk to you and have you join our team! Coaches if you know of any of your wrestlers that may be interest please send them my way! We are trying to build the program back up to even higher heights than we were when I wrestled back in 2015 when we placed 3rd at the NCWA National Dual Championships! I am looking to build not only a top notch team, but a dynasty here at MTSU! Please let me know if you or anyone you know are interested in a future wrestling career at MTSU! Eligibility rules are different when it comes to starting your college wrestling career at an NCWA program versus an NCAA, NCJAA, or NAIA program! We are also looking for any sponsors/companies to wanting to sponsor the team or make a donation to the team in order to raise money for tournament fees, travel, equipment, etc! 6. I'm not mad if Bona is the starter all year I know he has worked very hard to be in the position he is in now. But Ryan isnt coming to Henry County to be a backup for 2 years behind Bona I can tell you that. That's why he left Martin

  14. I'm not going to hype this kid anymore, I'm going to let him show people what he can do whether and grove this year or the high school. Then watch all the people get on here talking about how good he is lol.

  16. Danielson-Danielson, if i recall GCpioneer initiated this small scuffle by saying and i quote... “TCA is the better team in my opinion.” I simply called his opinion out and gave numbers to show he is probably wrong. Now I am calling you out for running to his side. Let him talk for himself. One more thing, I picked Grace to beat Loretto in game 1 but I am not naive enough to think they can win it all. Could not care less who does really if Grace does not.

  18. Bri Blair from Halls, and Catelyn Riley from JC have been more than impressive all year. Riley is only a sophomore too. There were some very good teams, legit contenders, that were not able to advance past these two clubs from the east. Powell, Farragut, AC, S. Hill, Mo East, Boone were all capable of making some noise in the Boro.

  19. I watch practice most days, but every time I post something positive about the team, there are 1 or 2 posters that want to argue or throw a negative slant on whatever I post. So, I'm over it too.

  20. That's always great to hear 87. I hardly ever missed a practice, much less a game when my kids were playing football for several reasons. The main one being that I really couldn't think of a better way to burn my vacation time then watching my kids play sports and secondly, I knew injuries are also just a part of it.Still burns me up to see fans show disrespect when a young man gets hurt .I guess they were never carried off the field or had a son get hurt.

  21. Scratch what I just said. Just saw film on this kid Ryan Damron. This kids football IQ is something special! Always making the right plays and keeping his eyes downfield! This kid is ready to start this year at Henry County!!! By the time this kid is a Junior and Senior my lord! Lots of potential!

  22. Have heard there’s an incoming freshman quarterback transferring in next year that could compete for the job immediately?

  23. The Cleveland coaching search has been quiet... who is it going to be?

  24. They actually do have talent. It’s just difficult to see since they were starting mostly sophomores, some freshman and a only few seniors. Hopefully Coach Akins can get some of the athletes from other sports at WV to play football as well.
