  1. You probably have more info than I do, but if you want to elaborate on what we got I'll listen. Or you may continue your pretty weak effort to deflect on your influx of transfers.

  2. The best system was 5 classes for D1 and 2 classes for D2. Privates need to stay in their own league.

  3. How much are you gonna jack the price up when you sell them to the Huntingdon fans?

  4. According to this, there are 294 high school football teams in Tennessee. Therefore we should have 295 classes.... https://www.fieldlevel.com/explore-teams/football/tn/highschool

  6. I'll take a stab at it. Since 1999 Maryville has lost to Knox Central twice, Morristown West twice, Heritage once, and Halls once. Here is the crazy stat Maryville had a 5 game losing streak from Central Beating them in the 1999 play-offs and then started 0-4 in 2000 before winning out. I saw that 2000 team play against Greeneville in the Semi's. That was a cold damp night for football.

  8. I agree with you. I do wish they would expand and upgrade visitors seating. The only objection from me is that we might lose our truck spot if they made them to big.

  9. The JV and Freshman schedules are now posted on the team's website. All Monday games are at home, except for Campbell Co. (unless the Alcoa game is away; still TBA).

  10. Gotcha. I agree with you as well.

  11. Why is threatening to reveal a person's identity so important? The fact that I could be G's first cousin and Booger's brother should not be a hindrance to my (or anyone's) association to this forum. Both are fine men and knowledgeable soccer aficionados as are you, sir. (Is that the proper booty kissing technique?) If you're not careful, you may face the wrath of Elmer and the sticky mess he always creates when he comes down from his ivory tower. I have heard from local sources this webb of deceit is rustling his feathers. It would be horrible to hear of him going all Spartan on you.

  13. Agree with the recruiting. You not going to beat Baylor, ND, Miss St or UConn with this level of recruits. She is a good coach but I am not sure she was the right coach to attract the level of elite players needed to bring Tennessee back to the top. She has done a good job where she was at but Rocky Top has a lot higher expectations.

  14. I was aware of him since he was a baby but I really knew he was gonna be big time after his freshman yr.The one play that stands out from that yr is him running a kick back for a TD at Central. They was trying to not kick it to whoever was the deep man but didn't know about Tee yet. There is D1 good which is really good then u have elite.Tee is an elite talent and person.

  17. Like I said, they have a strong softball program...

  18. Since this thread is about everything except the 3 way scrimmage - Forrest's baseball and softball teams are still going strong in the state tournament. Boys are 2-0 in their bracket and the girls won their game 1. Looks like Forrest and Sequatchie Co are the only two schools to qualify both teams for AA state!

  19. Croz has been one of the most respected posters for years. He gave his assessment of the scrimmage. Forrest is stronger (traditionally) in every sport besides Football! Girls softball has been their trademark for years. Your a good poster as well, General, but your really coming off as a A** in this argument. Not trying to pi$$ you off, friend, just suggesting you let it go. He don't have to agree with you and you don't have to agree with him. Just agree to disagree.... Can't we all just get along?

  20. #9 for Forrest is a senior and I'd be wearing that kid out with short and long routes. I'd also have the top 6-7 kids in general ONLY touching the ball. 6, 3, 12, 35, 8, 9, and starting QB who was out, can't remember his #. But #9 is just usually running a route, ignored. It's almost criminal. Coach Stacey was loud and active after a quiet 2018. Good to see and hear him/ He knows football. Eli was arms folded sort of shuffling around. It's difficult to have any confidence in his leadership, but I am trying.

  21. We went to the SHHS vs Bradley Central 1st round game last year. On a cold, misty, windy night in Johnson City I'd say the total fan count was 400 or less, excluding the bands and cheerleaders. IMO it's a combination of a couple of things..... * More entertainment options than ever. Unless you have kids or other relatives playing, high school football is simply a form of entertainment and there's a lot of competition for your entertainment dollars. * Consolidated schools have taken away some great local rivalries and created in some cases longer travel plans than people want to put forth the effort to make. It's not just a TSSAA problem. We watch a lot of high school football across the Southeast and while many of the community based schools will still pack the stands, there's a lot more that struggle to make anything at the gate.

  22. All this watering down caused a handful of schools to dominate certain classes because enrollment is not the clear overall solution. Same ole thing like clockwork every year and people are sick of it and quit going.
