  1. The BCAT is not nor will ever take the place of the Jerry Peters classic, they made that clear from the start. The event the BCAT is putting on is an NCAA live recruiting weekend for high school events only. The dates aren’t set by BCAT they are set by the NCAA, they must be the last 2 weekends of June and must be supervised by the BCAT. These are the rules set nationwide. The teams made the choice of playing those days so that would be on the coaches. Personally, if I were coaching or had a child who was a college level player I would wonder why my HS team at the BCAT event.

  2. I can see him being a nickel or a dime qb. Most defenses will have to line up in a nickel or dime package just to keep from being shredded through the air.

  3. Are you kidding me? A starter for the best team in tn high school football over the past 15 to 20 years is gonna be a dime a dozen in 1a football. If coach ryan decides to open up the playbook against majority of the teams we will face he could throw for 400 yards in the first half and never break a sweat. Having a D1 receiver catching balls don't hurt either. Please get back to me on this after about 7 games are played and let me know your thoughts then

  4. Less kids play so less people attend. It's no rocket science guys. Read this article by Forbes and you'll realize the TSSAA and their multi-classification system is not the problem. https://www.forbes.com/sites/bobcook/2018/08/31/why-high-school-football-is-dying-a-slow-death-its-not-just-concussions/#215afbf75408

  6. It's enough time to see what has been done to this point and give an opinion/analysis of it. You just cant bring regular run of the mill players that are not good enough in at Power 5 school, whether it be 2 months or 2 years on the job, and expect great success. I hope she does a great job, I hope she surpasses Pat but the start in recruiting isn't promising.

  8. Covington May win that region but not by a long shot. There were a couple of teams in our region that played them tough last year and brings back the House while Covington lost coach and several starters. They will have several battles this year if they hope to win that region.

  9. We have replaced every starter except #55. Impossible to replace. The 8th grader that started last year at lineman will be the biggest recruit ever out of Greenback barring injuries. Absolute beast!

  10. Roy, I'm at that Bonnaroo mans field camping out. Late last night in the tent next to mine I heard an old man reading his Murphy Fair book to a bunch of hippies from Colorado. Was that you?

  11. I agree with you that on a consistent basis this is the toughest (most competitive region) in 3A. I think this next year 5-3A will be very competitive. Giles, Pearl Cohn and Stratford will all be neck and neck in that one.
