  1. Do i need to bring some cheese to this thread with how much wining is going on? Its like Kevin Costner said in Field of Dreams "You Build it they will Come" Since 1985 Greenback has made the play-offs 27 times out of 33 years, Have a new school, Been to the Championship game 3 times in the last 4 years and sit right in the middle of two 3a schools (Alcoa and Loudon), a 5a School in Lenoir City, and two 6a Schools in Williams Blount and Maryville. With that many big schools right next to you you're going to get transfers with the success they have had and if a player or a parent feels like thats a good option for their kid they are going to make a change of address and not effect their job at all. (Maybe a few more minutes to their commute). Not to mention Greenback is a beautiful area with farm land and lakes all around you.

  2. If these so called “recruits” weren’t going to be key contributors, nobody would have a word to say. We do it by the book and believe me with the principal we right now, he will make sure it’s done properly. And we honestly couldn’t care less if CoachT posters root for Greenback or not. We have one of the best small town football atmospheres, a great (new) school, a WINNING tradition, and THE BEST community. No we aren’t a private school, we are public. If people want to come here we aren’t gonna turn them away. If that’s called recruiting then everyone does it. Stop whining, enjoy the pre-season, and relax. Stars, talent, offers, and all this other stuff means nothing when that ball is kicked off. It’s a one-on-one game that anyone can win on any given night.

  4. Always somebody setting on the Hotseat so let's see who that may be. Mr. Linginfelter ,Mr. Mozingo and Mr. Brown would be my first choices since those respected schools have won state titles in recent years to be in the situation their in right now. Mr. Mckamey can't afford anymore outburst like the Anderson County game or he'll be on the seat also. Other coaches that may be in the steam room with a broken thermostat are Mr. Sanders, Mr. Bradley and possibly Mr. Christian. Mr. Hammontree and Mr. Shadowens have no worries about the hot seat because the County Mayor is a retired fireman and had their seats sprayed with a fire retardant material. Barney wishes all these coaches only the best and hopes none of them get burned. .

  5. I think most people would rather win with homegrown kids instead on relying on transfers every year. I guess a coach doesn't really have to build a program when you can just get transfers to do it for you. IMO I would rather watch kids who grow up together and go to school their whole lives together build a program. That's just my opinion but to each their own.

  7. I mean it was just a scrimmage. Camden did seem to have more speed than they did last year. We have some holes to fill on defense. I do think we are going to be good though

  8. Not sure if you were there or not because there were not very many fans on the dogs side of the stadium. It really was awesome. Start up program less than 10 years old takes a bunch of white boys to the dawg house and bested one of the most storied programs in the state. Also it was the sure fired hall of fame coaches last game at his home stadium.... I remember saying " things have gone stale here at Johnnie Hale " Shameful BPM. Shameful. Next time you come by I will give you a calculator. HAHA! All in good fun my friend.

  9. Paying attention, got the scoop, in the know, on top of it, what ever you want to call it. Powell is already caught up and in 1st place right now. I would say West is #2. They got the RB zoned for Karns that was going to Baylor at 1st then saw what Baylor had and saw there was not enough room in the backfield because Baylor has Webb's best back now so West became high bider next. I hope they can keep him and his handler happy because he will go to next highest bider.

  11. Man this district is tough. Top 4 teams all had 8+ wins last year. Swept the first rd playoff matchups against Memphis teams. And you know how tough those Mempho teams can be considering your matchups in previous years with ‘Lil East. (Sorry I just couldn’t help myself lol!!) Martin Westview was out of the playoffs last year but they have a qb that has Major D1 offers from power 5 schools. And Bolivar was also out of the playoffs last years but had 2 kids go to West Virginia just a couple of years ago. Tough sledding in this region man.

  12. Just think the lineman are not transfers.Bailey came as Freshman and Bubba an Eighth grader so neither had an athletic record in HS.

  14. He is an absolute monster... just looking at him you wouldn’t know he was a freshman. I’d be willing to bet he’s gonna have every school in the country after him before he’s a senior.

  15. Bradley, Oakland, Knox Catholic, Mt Juliet and others were at Newland Stadium yesterday. Semis was Bradley vs Oakland and Dorman, SC vs Knox Catholic. Oakland won it all.

  16. Another game to add to your list, Trousdale County @ Friendship Christian. Both teams finished Runner-Ups in 2018 and enter 2019 ranked. Not sure what all FCS has returning but the TC/FCS match-up is always a battle. For both teams, this game wont define their seasons but it will set the tone as they enter Region play the following week. 73 Days til Kickoff!!!
