Let’s talk football. Greenback will be dominate again this season. Little brother now has the best QB in 1A to get him the football. I look for him to have well over 1000 receiving yards again this season. Greenback will have 2-3 tough regular season games. Outside of those games they will easily defeat the other teams. The ONLY 1A team with ANY remote chance in the east this season to compete with little brother’s Kees is SP.

As i stated who would like it? Not a fair question to any player or parent and since sir you'd like to label me as young I'd like to thank you for your compliment. I'm 41 and have already have 2 boys graduate from Meigs. I wonder why if the Greenback players aren't taking this so personally why you are. I mean it's near obvious everyone knows when another player leaves to play on another team as South Pitt and Greenback has listed how many players each other has. So I ask you sir, how many surrounding schools have transfers from Greenback because of losing their spots to transfers? I've heard of none and someone would have posted it wouldn't you think? So the players there are obviously ok with getting new teammates if it helps their cause. Last but not least I do think every transfer they got went there to play football I believe anyone would be silly to think it's for any other reason. Some may have real reasons but does it matter if it's legal? I hope one day you find peace with this subject as it seems to be giving you an ulcer unfortunately.

It’s amazing how a South Pitt fan knows all these “facts” about the Greenback football program.

LC is not hyped more than Huntingdon. We are looking forward to the scrimmage with TC. It will tell us what we need to work on. In know way will that scrimmage determine the outcome on the season for TC and LC. Either team might get blown off the field and it will mean very little at the end of the day.

Right or better... Where do we want to focus our efforts? C’mon guys. I’m sure none of you have ever been wrong before. Let’s get the better train going.

As a matter of fact, OP ain’t ever heard a good-great college of professional coach ever say, I,we develop this or that player’s talent. The professional coaches always give the players credit, but not in high school regrettably. Coaches jobs are to provide the best options to help players & teams be successful. Point here, you can’t develop a mule to be a therobred. 4. OP ain’t missed this boat neither 5. What you think is clouded with self gratification & orchestration is clear. The playbooks on these types of issues are always the same. Not likely majority of coacht fellers is falling fer this mess. BTW, us fellers Never got a response to the question. Could not agree more. I am pulling for him. I got the chance to coach him for a very short period in the all-star game and he was nothing short of awesome. He made me a fan of him by the way he accepted coaching, had a great attitude, was a team player, and just nothing short of an incredible young man. It all comes from home IMO. I have met his mom a few times and she demands nothing but the best from him and that is why he is the caliber young man he is. He will go very far in life with or without pads on.

Since the consolidation of high schools in 77, 79, no Blount County football head coach has ever been fired. Why expect anything different? Even Fickert and Corum left on their own.

Teams will just have to find out how well that fancy Maryville qb plays with turf in his face mask.

I played in the District of the AAA State Champs, two out of my three varsity years. These younger people wonder why some stadiums have signs that say "Playoffs" with the year. It was a big deal to get into the playoffs.

Don't forget Davy Harrod. He dominated the state championship game.

I predict a good season in LA. 3 wins before taking a week off and 2 more after. They will battle for a playoff spot.

Wow! Yeah when I seen Greeneville on TV up close last year at the AC game it was like wow is that a College team. Very impressive size. Know wonder they have a good recruiting. It sounds like Greeneville is set to make another run. Hope AC is physically and mentally ready. Not sure we are playing the best at home lately. I have no idea if Powell can play at the level Greeneville plays but we will see soon. Good luck and maybe the Mavs can get something going this year. I hope we do not take Howard for granted. Bryce Hanley 2018 Tennessee mr. Football, Breeden Gilbert was the front runner for 1A mr. Football if he wouldn't have transferred out,Holden Willis will be Mr Football finalist this year.Derrel Bailey came in as a Freshman and couldnt find his butt with both hands and is now a TN top 30.Shall i go on??All Have been at Greenback their whole high school career and all but Bailey have been here since before time.Thats not including all the other ALL STATE kids the past 4 years.I am usually not this way but you are an incompetent fool! This is the reason kids come here because he can coach and he can develop Talent and he can also put you on the big stage!

Thanks for the vote of confidence and kind words. I absolutely enjoy the sport. However right now I still just want to coach. In my opinion, this position should be filled by someone who doesn't have to juggle time coaching and overseeing the state organization. The kids deserve it. Maybe one day... good Lord and wife willing.
