Maryville’s 1st string defense started the game but the QB Chambers and RB Tee Hodge didn’t touch the field on O. After the first 2 drives, all starters were out of the game. For Greenback, our run blocking is just short of atrocious. Other than that and maybe some tackling issues, I thought we looked decent tonight with the little bit of playbook we did show. Passing game looks good.4 points

Freshman Jamboree starts at 9 am tomorrow at Powell. I think the first 3 matchups are Powell vs Farr., OR vs Gibbs, then West vs Halls. Looking forward to watching this years freshmen team. They have a chance to be a special group if they stick together.3 points

Greenback is unbelievable. They have shut Hodge completely down.2 points

Well HC won 14-0 over Paducah Tilghman! It was a game of the good the bad and the ugly THE GOOD: Running game looked good, freshman QB had a pretty TD pass, the Junior QB had a great run for a TD, no false start penalties, defense looked great and was flying to the ball THE BAD: Miscommunication on the exchange between QB and RB THE UGLY: Freshman QB threw an early INT, had 2 fumbles and lost 11 point

Station camp will not win a game our 1st team defense shut them down.1 point

We shall see. I saw your line at the scrimmage against Watertown and am not very concerned. Tipton made a play because he’s an athlete.1 point

I am really not sure who the Oak Ridge Wildcats played or when. I was born in 1963 so it was probably around the 1968 season when one of my older brothers played nose guard for the Big Red ( now we say, the Cardinal and Gray ). My special memory was standing along the 72 steps that go from the field up to the locker rooms. We would slap the Wildcats on their shoulder pads as they climbed the steps. When my brother went past he gave me his chin strap and made sure I saw the blood coming from his broken nose. He was proud of always getting his nose broke during games. He was a tough son of a gun with a crazy streak a mile wide. Now he and his Family live in Hawaii and he is very laid back.1 point

Run blocking drills. Tackling drills. More run blocking drills. More tackling drills. Then repeat the cycle like 10 more times.1 point

Well. Our line is much bigger and.more sturdy than I anticipated. Our backs looked good. Bryant seems healthy and he's throwing well. He had some great carries tonight. Rader and Weatherford looks good as well. Our defense seemed like Swiss cheese at times. But they got a big takeaway when it mattered.1 point

There were a couple of plays that MoEast moved the ball, but I'll be honest it was few and far between. The QB and the RB, I think #23, had a some speed and athleticism that let them get some yards when they got a little grass. I think by far the biggest problem was that MoEast's Oline/Dline didn't do a very good job against ACs OL/DL.1 point

I have it on good authority that the Tiger Cage will have Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches for sale at all the home games. It may not be the best you've ever had but it will be the best you will have there that night.1 point

That's good news for GC. This years group is very green but they will develop along the way. Last years group was undefeated and now has 33 players who are now freshman. There will be a down year at some point in time but not in the next 4 years. count on it.1 point

TButt, Time fer yous to be properly Ed-U-Kated. You see back before all the division of public & private schools, theys was folkes gathered to express their concerns. The public school supporters were gathered together discussing various avenues of support for public education. The private supporters started to gather to voice their arguments, when the private school supporters started waving their arms and dispersing and sitch. Shortly, a sweater vested feller walked over to the group of public school supporters complaining about flying bugs. One old feller said, them are jest “Circle Flies”. The sweater vested feller noticed the Flies were Concentrated still around the group he had walked away from. Immediately the sweater vested feller asked, “What are Circle Flies”? One old feller said, “ theys Flies that stay around the tail of horses”.....the vested feller said, Oh, turned to walk off....stopped and turned around and looked at the old feller and asked, “Are yous calling us private school supporters horse’s azzes.....? The old feller paused, spit and said, “No sir, We ain’t saying no sitch of a thang”.....the vested feller turned to walk away when the old feller spit and said, “hey city feller, the vested feller again stopped and turned around in response, the old feller turned slightly and spit, then said, “ “It is difficult to fool them there Circle Flies thou”.....! Old Pirate says, ain’t no surprise the D2 threads are dead. You Circles Fly folkes can’t even stand each other!1 point

Amazing thread, I did not go through the whole thing, but one thing is still true from the first page. Shane Turner is still one of the Gold Standard for coaching in TN. The Baylor School is incredibly lucky to have them. They really have an all star staff at this time. I would love to see Shane utilized by whoever takes over the chairman position for USA wrestling in this state (Fingers crossed Mike Hatcher is interested).1 point

You are correct. Being cautious is good, but we have become a weak, soft, and politically correct society.1 point

You are right he does take plays off and I’ve gotten on to him about that! Isaiah Johnson is definitely our best receiver and cornerback agreed. Quez a big miss at slot is out for a while due to grades sadly! Romano has been dealing with a hamstring but will be back for harden valley! After watching Maryville dominate central I have to realize Maryville is just on another level. People have to step up and better play calling! Defense backs need to get switched out we lack a lot of speed that will get us down the line.. will judge more after hva.1 point
