Covington and Northside would get smoked by Trenton. Haywood can match up with them Jimmy’s and Joe’s. Henry May can but have the best chance to match their coaching. Trenton has great players with great fundamentals, great coaching and great community support. No weaknesses.3 points

Hope Springfield gets the W. I want us both to be undefeated when we play. Good luck tomorrow!3 points

Hey, I’m sorry just a bit ruthless when it comes to Milan lol. It’s always a good night when you win and keep them at 14. When I was in school we never beat Milan except for 1 time, so it’s fun to see three in a row for us like they did to us in the past.2 points

Milan started practice a week earlier than everyone else. Maybe should have started a month earlier.2 points

Tadvols I respect you as a poster but when someone who seems to be a Powell supporter ask has Greeneville beaten a Knox Co. school ever? and then says what 15 years ago? How did you expect a Greeneville fan to react? The question wasn't "what is Greeneville's overall record vs Knox Co teams?" So i don't know what truth you're trying to speak. Everyone knows that Greeneville has respect for those teams you mention in Fulton, Central, and Catholic. Heck there is a lot of tie in between those 3 schools. Fulton and Greeneville always scrimmage at carson newman, Central's D coordinator and D line coach played underneath a lot of this Devil's Coaching staff, and Our QB transferred from Catholic. We even have a tie into Powell with our D coordinator starting for them before playing college football.2 points

Sorry guys, I am just no longer going to buy the "first game jitters". This looks like a bunch of 4th grade soccer guys playing their first football game. What part of "Okay, lets run X37, snap on 3" are they not getting???1 point

I don’t want to add insult to injury and quite literally didn’t want our starters to risk injury by continuing to play in the 2nd half...... but imagine how it would’ve been if those key players weren’t pulled for Peabody. This game went nothing like predicted. I never expected the outcome. It could’ve been worse. I do look forward to following the rest of Milan’s season...... but man oh man am I even all the more excited about Peabody’s! I have no doubt Milan’s empire is on the up and up. They will fight this season after the game. I also can’t wait to see the new stadium!!!! It is well needed and well deserved. Good luck the rest of the season, Milan!1 point

Issues ehh......I’ve said a lot worse in a lot better places. I give you said name because you troll this page and say you hope they lose every game without any rhyme or reason. So Mr. “D”inosaur bag, who’s your team of choice. Please give an answer other than, “any one who plays Springfield”, and a reason other than I don’t like them.....I’ll wait1 point

Being a former player at Gallatin, I hope we come out with a great mind set on being physical. Lebanon will come over here with something to prove and try to establish the run game early. Hopefully our defense has improved this week. Maybe seeing this through green wave glasses but I think it's a close one and Trace hits a field goal to win it. We shall see. Good luck Green Wave.1 point

Well finally football season is back. And what a tuff game for the Devil's to start off with in the Powell Panthers. It will definitely be a test . This is the kind of game that will benefit both teams as the year goes on. You only get better by playing good team's. Here is to hoping both team's come out of it injury free. And that it's a great game. GO BIG GREENE1 point

I stand by my 3 td win and looking at unapproved website I found that they reached a similar conclusion. They have Mayfield winning by 13, on a neutral field. (Mayfield 41 Lausanne 28) The field will be anything but neutral. I have the Cards by 21. Max has Lausanne ranked 2,309 and Mayfield 1,070. I ran 2018 Lausanne against 2018 CAL, the private team that beat us by a TD in last years state title game, and it has CAL 31 Lausanne 26. This shows you that Max rating system is pretty darn accurate. I think it would have them favoring us by my 21 points if it was not the first game of the season. The rankings get better the more games it has to analyze. It shows 2018 Lausanne beating 2018 Mayfield by 3, 34-31. unapproved website.COM PROJECT A MATCHUP Neutral field [2018] Christian Academy (Louisville, KY) 31, [2018] Lausanne Collegiate (Memphis, TN) 26 PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2018] Lausanne Collegiate (Memphis, TN) 34, [2018] Mayfield (KY) 31 PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2019] Mayfield (KY) 41, [2019] Lausanne Collegiate (Memphis, TN) 28 Lausanne Collegiate Football Team Varsity 2019 National Rank 2309 Mayfield Football Team Varsity 2019 National Rank 1070 State (KY) Rank 101 point

The way I look at this is yeah Ballard left. So it could go one of two ways, either like when Brewer left Sevier County and we now see what they have become. Or like Quarles leaving Maryville, but Hunt has kept them in tact. I don’t see a drop off at Greeneville, too much talent and rich tradition over the past 10 years for that to happen. Another point to make is Powell that good? Look I know they’ve got a good QB and athletes but so do other schools. A lot of Powell’s talent is still young(which will help in coming years). I’m just not ready to crown Powell of anything yet, although they will be in the conversation this year. As for tonight, Youngblood is the difference. Greeneville-24 Powell-211 point

No cakewalk, that's for certain. I respect the Tomcats, no doubt about that. I just respect our coaching staff and physical brand of football a little bit more. Maybe I'm biased, so be it.1 point
-
I'm not underestimating the Tomcats at all! I'm just about the only Patriot Fan on here that doesnt underestimate them! Haywood is dangerous plus they have G-Towns coach! Bad combination for Henry County! I like our team though and think we will be ok but I know what Haywood is capable of! If we dont bring our A game or have too many turnovers we could easily lose this one! Gotta bring it!1 point

Agree. But I would say a great coach DEVELOPS the kids in his program. Not saying a coach who recruits can't be a great coach, but it is a lot harder to determine.1 point

Old Pirate remembers several SP kids that transferred to Jasper. Remember well Don Grider bothered by Rankins & Stevens, Janeway. Pert near sure these were Allstate players. Then there were Helm, Wilson, Muir, 75% of the warriors bat Toters & dribblers several years back Jest to name a few! Figure the Pirates have been a right helpful learning You jailhouse Kinfolkes. Yep, recon so1 point

He was the heartbeat of that team. Without him in 2008 they don’t reach the semifinals. If he stayed at SP they would have won another gold ball that season. That kid was one of the top 5 players Marion has had in the past 20 years.1 point

Amazing thread, I did not go through the whole thing, but one thing is still true from the first page. Shane Turner is still one of the Gold Standard for coaching in TN. The Baylor School is incredibly lucky to have them. They really have an all star staff at this time. I would love to see Shane utilized by whoever takes over the chairman position for USA wrestling in this state (Fingers crossed Mike Hatcher is interested).1 point

Shane Turner, hands down with second place way behind. He runs more organized practices then any coach I know and has been at it for years. They are always open to anyone and when I've been involved, he refused compensation. His technique is rock solid. There are no selfserving reasons as he's not an educator/coach by profession and his son is probably just starting to crawl. When he started coaching little guys 15 years ago, him and Posey were a little extreme but he has since matured into a fine coach whom I would be comfortable sending my son with anywhere. I hope all you folks in Soddy realize how lucky you are and take care of him accordingly.1 point
