Holy Houdini Batman! That's right Boy Wonder. It seems the Legend is loose from the asylum yet again. I must speak with Commissioner Pegleg. To the Bat Phone. Good work Dynamic Duo. This will be the only security detail the Legend will see for a very long time.3 points

Not making any excuses but this is football. No participation ribbons for getting off the bus. If Dresden didn't call the dogs off and hung 60 on LC then we should expect them to return the beat down. It's a slippery slope leaving your stars on the field in a blowout. If Dresser would have got hurt or LC's QB gets hurt the gold ball gets further away or in Dresden's case it disappears. Hoping LC wins gold this year.3 points

The problems in Polk are much bigger than athletes cycling in and out. All athletics at PCHS are in shambles, as well as the system in general. It all stems from the disease that is its central office. The student population has dropped every year because of poor school conditions, low academics, and lack of opportunities for students. The Polk school system have been cutting teachers and programs for the last 6-8 years and will continue to. Yet the director of schools, administrators, and school board set on their hands, collect a check and act like they have no idea what’s going on. Polk athletics are dead until the entire system is cleaned out and it’s disease removed, and until that happens there will be no cycles of athletes. In the past students would come from Bradley and McMinn Counties to attend Polk for football and for academics, now the opposite is happening.2 points

What is bad is if Gallatin does not go 15-0 these haters will say, see you ain’t no good, same ole Gallatin, which isn’t true. Nobody expects that, heck not many expected 3-0 either but hey we will take it. All you have to do is look around and see that the Wave is much better this year.2 points

Well, it is OFFICIAL now that 5StarPrep has spoken and made Farragut a 13 point favorite. Why is Oak Ridge even going to open up the Ship? Pack up the Cat Shack, close down the Concession Stands, do not ask Nick Orlando to report to the Press Box and just stay home and watch reruns of SpongeBob. Just kidding. Thirteen points seems about right but I'm not right in the head. Cats will make a game of it. Prediction later this week. Oh, here is an oldie but a goody. Anyone remember this smear on the Blue Bellies, FARRA-GUTLESS? I know of many Oak Ridge students who have had ORHS Administrators sternly tell them to stop that cheer. I was one of them on multiple occasions from the time I was a student until my late 30s. If I were at the game this Friday I'm sure I would shout out a few Farra-gutless. I can't help myself.2 points

I'll just have to go sit with ol' Bruce one good time, crack open a high life then give him the stone cold stunner. That'll get him out of this Watertown funk2 points

If Bassy were in here he'd be telling us how this game could go either way. He'd post about the outside speed of Jasper and their inside hard strong running game. He'd tell us how desperate they are for a win over the Bully of the Valley. And how anyone backed up against the wall is potent and dangerous. I know you're out there Ambasstradamus.1 point

Better be careful what you wish for, 'cause when you get it and it isn't what you thought it would be, it's too late to wish for "the good ol' days" back.1 point

Good luck HC! Hope we can see each other again this year in Cookeville. We both have a hard road to travel to get there. E Tenn is loaded! I'm sure it's the same for you. A lot of quality (fairly evenly skilled) football teams in 5-A.1 point

I hope your right and think your right. Im just amazed when I watch film of teams like whites creek and see the size and speed they have but are not fundamentally sound.1 point

Yes they are and so am I. I give Covington the edge but I bet they get pushed to the limit. That McConnell offense is something else. Makes for an interesting match up for sure.1 point

Not one for running up the score, but I would understand if he chose to do it. He wont though because the seniors, juniors, sophomores still at Polk playing football there most likely played for him so why should the kids suffer. And he will surely be satisfied coming off with a win and a slight smirk pointed towards the Polk leader of faculty1 point

There wouldn't be so much animosity towards MJ if they would learn some humility and when to just shut up sometimes. Always trying to beat their chest and talk/tweet about how hard they are working and how they have it so much better than others. It gets old @MJGOLDENBEARS. If they had anything as prove for their "success" then they wouldn't receive as much "hate" as you call it.1 point

I hope Loudon can get the kicking game corrected (FG's & Extra Points). The kicker looks like he has a big time leg but the snap and holding are not up to par. When competition get better FG's will be important.1 point

Bradley will not hold Bearden to 3. This will be a close game but Bradley should pull away late.1 point

Yes, Somehow I came up with End zone parking?! Bring something would be GREAT!...if allowed? Us GOONS will setup at 4:00. Gates open at 5:00 But, with it being so hot(saying upper 90's), we axed the idea of a hot grill.....for coolers full of drinks and maybe ice cream! Maybe some other treats?? We'll put up the GOON banner and Canopy, ...and hope to see ALL CoachT'er!!! ..........Momma STARS will be dish'n out the Pancakes!!1 point

The new coach should get props. He has stalked the halls to find players and the students have responded. This team is more than double the size it was a few years ago. Fayetteville was fortunate to have a good man in Coach Palmer start the program and now Coach Morson will take the next steps on the foundation that was built. I would agree that line play will be a major factor for the winning team. This week seems to be passing at a snail's pace. Friday night can't get here fast enough!1 point

I think as long as Westmoreland doesn't turn the ball over and play fundamentally sound football you'll win by at least 14.1 point

Wouldn't we though. Maybe we should refer to them as Cottonport or Ten Mile. No, wait a minute. The Four Corners All Stars considering they have players from about four different counties.1 point

You might be right, but I feel like if Farragut's defense can keep OR from scoring any points....they should be fine.1 point

Fishing season is never closed. Sounds like your buddy made some statements that he doesn’t want to stand behind now. Even you must admit that when TCA loses a game 95% of the time he has something bad to say about the other guys. Diamond Dave deserves better than poor old Stan. Of course I’m just shaking the bush1 point

By "rolling" i meant finding success and getting some W's. No I don't believe they will beat Maryville. I am not sure of the rest of their schedule, but I don't seem them beating West or Oak Ridge either. HOWEVER, young teams tend to improve very fast, and usually are completely different by the end of the season compared to the beginning. Right now I would predict them to finish 4th in their region, but being very competitive by playoff time. If they play either of those two teams mentioned in their region in weeks 8 9 or 10, then I do think they may have the ability to pull of an upset. Only time will tell on that though. Regardless- I do predict them to get a W this week!1 point
