I know this Boog that two very mediocre Baylor teams put a beat down on your Notre Dame Irish the last two years and they were supposedly the best two teams ND has had. And Sparty is right ND wanted no piece of Baylor for this cycle schedule.2 points

H20 holds a record of 29-10-1 against DC..H20 has won the last 9 out of 10 meetings winning the last 3 games by a combined score of 149-55 and could have been worse. DC has only won 2 times at Watertown in history (1974) (2008). H20 has beaten DC more than any other team since DC was consolidated in 1963. Looks like H20 was beating DC a lot when they were little ole class A.2 points

I still haven’t seen them play, so it’s hard to say exactly what I think. “Are they good?” - Appear to be I would say with certainty they are better than they have been for several years “Are the teams they’ve played down from previous years?” - Probably a little, but it appears Gallatin is solid at the very least If you were looking for anything above 6-4 to be a good year, I would say that’s pretty safe. There are a few games left on the schedule that could be interesting (I don’t think anyone really knows about WC until after this week). I see at worst 7-3, but could easily be 10-0. I don’t see the HHS or Beech games being blowouts either way though.2 points

Eagleville big. This Community team is as bad as they have ever had. They shocked Cornersville. If those two teams played Friday, Cornersville would win by 3 TDs.2 points

Very true statement on the wins but with all due respect to westy, Forrest would win that game comfortably, Forrest is a good football team, we will see where Portland is when it comes time to go dismantle the train horn again.2 points

It a region game that nobody likes just like Glencliff and Hunters Lane. We don’t schedule these stupid metro teams we just get stuck with them!2 points

Let's go big mouth name the player...coach? Oh you have yet to name the best player on defense from the other night that Watertown ran away from. What blows my mind is Watertown ran left, right, inside and out. So the best defensive player had to be the sideline. You obviously do not have the gumption or BALLS to say who was the best player(I need a number). The only player that looked like they could play just a little was #9 and that is just because he passed the eye test. I also know why you are not a scout anymore....you absolutely SUCK at scouting. Like someone said I bet you are a coach that is just butt hurt H2O smacked y'all again.1 point

New QB, not mobile at all but has a pretty good arm if he’s got time. New RB #9 is a sophomore and maybe our best playmaker in my opinion other than #13 at WR. #10 plays a stand up DE/OLB, this is his first year I think, but I’ve been really impressed by him as well. #44 at linebacker is really good too, but he’s a three year starter. Nose guard is new and huge!! He could be really good just cause of his size and athleticism but it’s his first year too. I can tell he’s gotten significantly better since week 1, but still has a little ways to go. A lot of good role players too, I just hope everybody shows up and does their job come Friday!! Should be exciting1 point

On a side note General, Forrest and Cornersville JV are playing tonight in Cornersville.1 point

Huntland should be 4 and 0, they gave 2 games away with untimely turnovers (not that they are ever good). South Pitt seems to be back to their old self this year and playing really well. These two have scrimmaged each other for years. Glad the coaches could work things out and play for real. I hear a Friday night in South Pittsburg is a great atmosphere. Hope both teams come out injury free as both have important games coming up.1 point

Greenback skillet slinger let me ask you a question. Is you collecting all these stats for the next orchestrating mid season effort to show an incoming prospect? I garuntee you I aint joking either.1 point

On a side note I hope the young man from LA that was down on the field for 15 minutes is ok. I know he ran off but I’m sure LA coaches wouldn’t have a player stay on the ground that long for nothing. Even if the other team was shoving it down their throat and their players were gassed. However that 15 minute break did give LA a much needed rest Why even make the statement if you weren't speculating or insinuating? Apparently you have some idea what insinuate means. Asking for a friend.1 point

Henry County should be in good shape. I know you said when the coaching change happened the Haywood County game got harder and this game more winnable. Very prophetic.1 point

I didn't realize Mt. Juliet was on the Maryville, Oakland & Whitehaven level. Thanks for clearing things up.1 point

Central is super small and soft up front and they just can't stop the run. They've given up like 400 yards on the ground to everybody and they've not played an offensive line or RB like what South has. I think the North QB had over 200 yards on them and they made Volunteer look like Alabama. South's going to cruise to a very easy win this week and clear the bench.1 point

I agree. Play somebody so your team knows. The Munford shutout is impressive though. We will see this up and coming Friday. SW is an old fashioned team. They will test Kirby's resolve.1 point

Well, the BA team defense adjusted to us. It was subtle in most cases. They definitely made some adjustments at the half. I think the OC did a good job of mixing it up. It was obvious that BA is well coached and some things their D just took away. They did what good teams do.1 point

Sorry I'm missed meeting you guys as well. hopefully we'll meet up down the road sometime. after this year, I'll be freed up on Friday night's to catch a few games I've been wanting to for years. SP vs Jasper is close to the top.1 point

When the TSSAA reclassed for 2017-2020, Gallatin was put in Region 6 5A with Beech, Glencliff, Hillsboro, Hillwood and Hunters Lane, it's as simple as that. We've never scheduled Hillwood outside of it being a region game. Those 5 games we have to play, then for the 5 non-region all are one class up in 6A, 2 in county and the other 3 one county over. We scheduled those because typically they field very competitive teams year in and year out, plus they bring great crowds, which helps offset some of the region schools that don't.1 point

Their defense is fairly stout, we had trouble running the ball but were still getting our feet under us offensively at the time and our line is pretty small... They do have a huge line on both sides, 2 D1 players with plenty offers (300 pounders), and the freshman QB is pretty good, strong arm and accurate, they were switching him out with the senior QB who is a better runner, not sure if they still are... They have the talent player wise to play with ya'll but I think ya'll are in their heads, they just can't seem to get it together against HC, for that reason I say HC wins by at least 3 scores..1 point

I watched the Lenoir City game and he is the real deal. #22 and #11 are as well. Robertsville is loaded.1 point

South picks the score in this one. Julian Reed will break his new rushing record by going for 400 on Central. Probably in the first half. South 91 Central 01 point

Trousdale should cruise to the state with all their starters back from last season. There are no weaknesses on this team.1 point

Wave is on the map again as a contender. Personally, I am glad to see them give a guy from a small school a chance. Too often guys that played/coach at small schools are considered inferior. Creasy (Lewis County, TC) and Rankin (Smith County) are excellent examples.1 point

I really think we played somewhat conservative knowing the Mavs. But the Defense really surprised me so I would have literally been of by giving SD that many... Lol who knows. It's fun to guess...1 point

We left points on the field for sure. That happens in a rivalries game like this one.1 point

TC defense is no joke. 5 out of 7 touchdowns came from the defense. Offense is a bit weak in my opinion but a win is a win1 point

I don't know about that. It may be the toughest. It may not be. Too early to tell actually. I tell you what ... there are 9 teams in Region 8, 1A. Why don't we let YOU make out their schedule and let's see how you do. We will let you find 2 non-region games that will make the difference for a 1A school in urban Memphis. A game that a 1A school can be competitive in and not get players knocked up or get the team slaughtered. Alright ... Go!1 point
