  1. The Rebels practiced at 6:15 this morning. Not because of the heat though. Coach Hunt invited 30 of our friends from the special education classes in Maryville City Schools out to a camp at the Skeeter. I was blessed to get to watch my 6 year old godson who has Down syndrome have the time of his life. All the kids got to wear Red Rebel jerseys. Walk through the tunnel from the locker room, while Back in Black played over the speakers. Then they ran through the M that the Cheerleaders hold. Then the coaches and football players helped them throw the football, do tackling drills and then an obstacle course to the end zone. And they got a T-shirt. His momma texted me and said I will cry when I see him in it in the morning. I will never forget this. It is truly great to be a Maryville Rebel.

  2. We are sharing the link to vote on all social media platforms. Last check our game had taken a slight lead after being a distant 2nd yesterday. Hard to compete in fan votes with the large fan bases at Ravenwood/Brentwood but the little guys are giving it their all!

  3. I’ll help you out since you’re clearly talking out of your backside. Robertson and Sumner counties had a 50 year agreement that allowed Robertson county to educate the elementary students in White House either side of the county line and the junior high and high school students were educated on Sumner county side. That ended and White House heritage was built like 15 years ago, therefore dividing the talent between the school’s. Now you know

  4. I have watched the films over and over, unless we have a complete breakdown i just dont see it either. We may come out slow which has happened a couple games but i cant see them holding us to 3 or even 4 scores. We are clicking right now and if we are worth our salt we have to FINISH these type games.I just have a feeling we turned the corner and the kids are all on the same page!

  5. To be honest I could see this being a close game. The jackets defense has been subject to the passing game. Safety seems lost at times. They don't have the playmakers of the past years but they are extremely scrappy. Getting waxed as you called it in week 1 is actually a pretty good eye opener. So is scrimmaging much better teams in the spring and summer. Wilson knows what he is doing, look at his resume and playoff runs. Playing tough competition gets you ready come playoff time. However i don't see white house winning this game judgeing off last years performance. Didn't you guys graduate like 18 seniors? that could be a good thing for them though maybe cut the dead weight. The Jackets are very young also only 8 seniors i believe. Cant wait to line it up and play...million dollar question...does the clock mysteriously stop working if the game is close?

  7. I saw Union City move the ball pretty well on Westview in preseason. Covington's defense is so quick I'm afraid Westviews QB is going to be running for his life. Westviews offensive is good but Covington's defense is better. I think Covington big.

  8. I think what Brian was saying is back in the day BDP would have had those players that now go to Heritage. In fact, he’s telling the truth. With Heritage being built in the mid to late 2000’s that stopped the “double dipping”. Now only WHHS students come from the Sumner County side.

  14. General, don't get all flustered in your pursuit of the acknowledgement and admiration of your glorious rockets by the AP Gods. i know you are new to this area of the battle field but General must learn that it's best to lay low when possible. Otherwise a sniper may pick you off and that wont be good for a bunch of Rockets to be under fire with no General to lead. Note: The all knowing AP Gods were so great last year in their prophecies that they didn't have my beloved Jackets picked higher than 8th or 9th all year and well them boys were a couple injuries short and a Tide away from claiming number 11. So General, stay in the bunker, fire your Rockets from a distance and keep destroying your targets from afar. By the way, does your platoon fire Rockets from the ground, or do you all attack with aviation technology. I highly doubt you all utilize an Armada being that we are so far inland.

  17. Yes they were and both fans base respected the other and I also remember yalls band playing out on the track for us on our side and we got up and gave them a standing ovation, but that's what two classy teams do ..

  18. Racer we’re pretty close in our thinking here. I could see us coming out a little flat to start the game. Might even be a one score game at the half. I see us pulling away and winning handily at the end. 38-13 BigRed is my prediction.

  19. This is EN’s best chance at a W. As long as they stay quiet, humble, and go play ball. I went to the game 2 years ago when EN players posted a lot of trash talk about PC on Twitter and Instagram. 35-0 on their home field! By the way, I was there cheering for EN! Never give the other team material to post in the locker room. I see the EN coach on Twitter now....don’t know if he was active back then, but if he was then he should have known better. I will respectfully disagree with the notion of EN HC being good. All of these are my opinions: no discipline- how many personal fouls this year? No fundamentals- just look at the tackling....loading up for the highlight hit vs wrapping up several players out of position- this opinion is shared by a good friend who happens to coach in College.

  22. Then in the eyes of the TSSAA, by your reasoning every school system in the state would be considered open zone. They all have a transfer policy. They are required to.

  23. As much as I like Coach Shattuck, he only had 3 winning seasons in 10yrs. And, Clinton went 7-33 in his first four seasons (0-10 in his last). Clinton Football has only had FOUR winning seasons in the last 20yrs. Anonymous critics publicly dragging down a coach will not make it any better.

  25. Honestly I have seen you guys and Covington both up close and personal this year and I think you guys are the better team. On offense I give you guys the edge because you are so versatile. You can run and pass. You guys have a tremendous back as does Covington. The difference is you have a proven commodity at qb in Baugus. Brock Lomax is gone and the new qb is unproven. Good teams that can match up physically and athletically with Covington (Alcoa and maybe Pearl Cohn) will be able to slow that run game. Then will the qb be able to step up? We know Baugus can. Covington may be a tad better on defensive but only by a hair. I believe they brought back 9 on that side of the ball. One thing that makes you guys so good on defense is your depth. Your ability to rotate in defensive lineman and keep people fresh makes your D tough to handle. I give you guys a clear advantage in coaching with the all star staff. I would pick Peabody by 7 over Covington if they played this season.

  33. To be fair, I haven’t seen White House play this season, but I have seen Springfield play. They are fast! Yes they graduated a lot of last year’s team, but Dustin Wilson still has plenty of talent left. Good programs don’t rebuild they reload. Springfield is 3-1 with a Loss the first game of the season to a undefeated Wilson Central squad. Springfield plays 2 Quarterbacks, #7 & #5. The #7 is the passer & their #5 is the running QB. They also have a good RB in #9. I was at the WH Heritage game in Springfield. Heritage went toe to toe with the Yellow Jackets. Springfield Won that brawl 42-41. If you’re going to beat the Yellowjackets you better contain their speed. Prediction: Springfield 31 White House 21

  34. Gallatin feeder Rucker Stewart moves on to 6-0 tonight after shutting out T.W. Hunter 20-0. They have not even given up a single point all season. Think they have some good players on the way up.

  39. On a side note I hope the young man from LA that was down on the field for 15 minutes is ok. I know he ran off but I’m sure LA coaches wouldn’t have a player stay on the ground that long for nothing. Even if the other team was shoving it down their throat and their players were gassed. However that 15 minute break did give LA a much needed rest Why even make the statement if you weren't speculating or insinuating? Apparently you have some idea what insinuate means. Asking for a friend.
