  3. Yes. Knox Co schools are open zone. Board policy J-152 proves it. Just go to the online board policies and look for yourself.

  4. Dude he squandered 3 Mr Football candiates I bet you a dollar 2 a donut that a good coach woulda shoulda coulda won the ship with all that talent !!!!! Your analysis or lack there of is hillarious! You must be a Camden fan at that !! You got them boys early in a transition where the D was undercoached for years !! Is McConnels offemse flashy yep ,does it put his team in the best position to win it all nope !!! Sorry facts dont lie !!! Fact is if Waverly had balance with the talent they had they would be sitti g on a GoldBall or 2 !!!

  5. You are 100% correct. No one wants scandal surrounding Freedom Prep like it was Trezevant. Those boys deserve better.

  6. We played Moore Co a couple of weeks ago and it was a defensive battle till the last five minutes of the game. We haven't seen City this year yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a low scoring game between the two if MC brings their defense again.

  7. Knox county isnt open zone for the 484858 time. You can go to a school out of your zone if you have a very specific reason. One night being you think the other schools academics are better. Alot of school districts are closed zones so they don't end up like Greene county with one school being absolutely dominate over the rest. Such as knox/sumner/rutherford.

  8. We had an instance of a couple of players that weren't willing to put in the sweat equity we took care of that lol do not step on my field at all I pushed one back to the sideline and asked coach to put a freshman in

  10. He's a Junior so I’m sure we will retain him throughout his contract ending next year. Although his bonus won’t be as much if he’s on the sideline as a backup in Cookeville.

  14. As bad as I hate to say it I believe the year was like 1926. TC beat Westmoreland 126-0 I believe. Westmoreland only dressed a few teams in those early years. We didn’t officially start our program until 1960 I believe.

  16. So what you're saying is over 80% of the schools districts that are open zoned have an advantage over the 20% of the schools systems that are closed zoned. So, Knox Co has the same Advantage but you just like being a troll

  17. They have a bye week after Blackman, then Riverdale. BOB seems to be the ideal game for him to come back

  18. I look for Greenback and all that D1 talent to make a statement in this game. I maintained from the very beginning Greenback was a legitimate top 4 team in 1A this year and I still maintain that. It will be hard to do business with them once the Cherokees get down to business.

  22. HAHA is this the same BDP that beat a horrible station camp team 13-7 at your place!!??? You guys have been playing Nashville schools of the blind and deaf the last two weeks. Jackets finally rolling, beat station camp last week 31 - 10 with 5 starters out. Jackets will come out and take care of business 35 - 10. I don't see white house beating anyone in the district but Greenbrier this year!

  23. Yep because your McConnell has done so much?? I think Waverly is better without the lack of preparation on the defensive side of the ball plain amd simple !!! And the D 1 QB statement is absurd "okay" he has a D 1 QB whopty Dopty cause 1 player wins the chip right ??? Dude come on you gotta be smarter than this one ridiculous post " I hope " !!! Coaching, Defense and Line play wins Gold Balls. , McConnell has cool highlight reelz bruh while loosing 60 to 45 or are my facts not factual????

  24. What a difference a year makes! But I wouldn't get all giddy about making any kind of noise in the post-season. We haven't put together a solid, 4 quarter performance yet. Maybe this Friday will be the start. Performance, individual or as a team, doesn't mean or do anything if spirit-crushing plays get called back for penalties and allow your opponent to maintain hope of success. Here's to the Tigers crushing all the Raider's hopes, early, and often.

  26. Their best secret play Friday night was "the disappearing score keeper." That was the best defense they had for keeping points off the board. It worked until late in the 4th.

  28. The best cornbread I ever ate came out of one of those skillets! Respect. If the Moore County folk won't join our fun we can try to pull a few more Pirates over. Huntland is going to try to milk that clock Friday night. It'll be interesting to see how well they can do it against an elite team and in the middle of the season. Huntland is no cupcake. I would like to see that game if not for plans to be in Lynchburg.

  31. UPSET SPECIAL # 2....The Wildcats were predicted to lose to Farragut by the Knoxville News-Sentinel and 5StarPrep. Guess what really happened? Oak Ridge 21 Farragut 14! Now, they doubt OR again! Knoxville N-S....West 27 Oak Ridge 16. 5StarPrep has West by 3 points. What should we do? I will tell you what we should do... * WIN! Oak Ridge has got this! ** # 14 is saying practices this week are going good. It is always a positive when one of the team leaders is willing to step up and be positive. *** Coach Gaddis said the team came out of the Farragut game healthy. **** Depth is growing each week as more players are getting playing time. A freshmen played 35 snaps against the Ads. More work in this area needs to be done, though. NOW, I HAVE A RANT.... I was out of town the first part of this week. I could read the Boards but not respond. I read some posts from Sunday that said nobody thought Oak Ridge would win against Farragut. Heck, I picked Oak Ridge 17 - 3. I also posted during halftime of the game that Oak Ridge had got this one. RANT OVER, time to crawl back into the Bubble Bath.

  35. I actually lived a few miles from East robertson High School but played and went to White House High. The agreement was that if you address was a White House address (which mine technically was), you went to White House schools. This extended past Cross Roads Market down 76 towards Springfield for quite a few miles. I could name you countless players that were within minutes of East and we were bussed to White House because our actual physical address was White House TN. In fact I would say the majority of the ball players when I played actually lived on the Robertson Co side since 31 W splits Robertson and Sumner Co. Anyhow; that was the agreement for a very long time bc White House was such a small town for so many years it just made sense to do that. The reason the agreement was not renewed had to do with taxes or something like that. Robertson Co wasn't getting what Sumner was or something to that affect bc of the agreement.

  41. This has been especially hard on me REBELRON. We're only halfway into this home game drought and I've exhausted my large supply of buy one BoJangles meal and get the other free coupons that were left by the Walnut Kitchen and Foothills Milling Company crowd. When we start back we will be in between Fall Break and that crowd will be out of town on their vacations and long cruises. I may be so desperate by then I may show up with a bucket and sign that says "Please Donate your Season Ticket Stubs to the Barney Foundation. The only good news lately was all the ninety nine cent Blizzard Coupons I found at the Alcoa JV Game. I bet all the people from Alcoa thought I was the new clean up man.

  43. The Rebels practiced at 6:15 this morning. Not because of the heat though. Coach Hunt invited 30 of our friends from the special education classes in Maryville City Schools out to a camp at the Skeeter. I was blessed to get to watch my 6 year old godson who has Down syndrome have the time of his life. All the kids got to wear Red Rebel jerseys. Walk through the tunnel from the locker room, while Back in Black played over the speakers. Then they ran through the M that the Cheerleaders hold. Then the coaches and football players helped them throw the football, do tackling drills and then an obstacle course to the end zone. And they got a T-shirt. His momma texted me and said I will cry when I see him in it in the morning. I will never forget this. It is truly great to be a Maryville Rebel.

  45. I don’t see anybody beating Peabody or Meigs so they will stay number 1 and 2. Fairley will probably stay at 3 until they meet Peabody in the quarterfinals. But I am putting them on UPSET ALERT this week against Mitchell I just got a funny feeling Mitchell is going to win. I got Lewis two spots above Forrest but I think Forrest has the potential to beat them if they play a clean game. Doesnt Watertown play Tyner? Or is that a playoff game? I seen something in Waverly this past Friday that reminds me of Union City. Ground and pound. They looked pretty good.

  47. Well I will say my Tornadoes continue to improve. This should be a fun game and hopefully a measure of how much we really matured in the Adamsville game. (No offense to Booker T Washington but they weren't much to measure by). I see young players getting more confident and Seniors showing good leadership in not quitting and not giving in. We may not be the dominant team we have been in the past that just pushes people around at will, but we got enough athletes and gumption that I still am confident we can play with most anybody and at least put on a respectable showing. The year we won our 2A gold ball, I said all season we weren't going far in the playoffs with the defense playing like it was. Then with about 3 games left in the season the defense came together to almost match the offense. I am certainly not saying that is gonna happen this year. But as long as I continue to see steady improvement I can maintain that hope. Anything can happen in the slobberknocker region.
