I know it sucks to lose to Watertown but the best thing you can do is let it go and wait to you play them again and get a W then that's is about all you can do.

You apparently have no idea what you’re talking about...I rarely miss a game, I played at Covington, and I support the booster club. Nothing fair weather about my comment, I just know football and call it like I see it. The Wing T has been Covington’s bread and butter since I played in the late 90’s and early 2000s. Covington has been very successful and has the athleticism to make a deep runs most years. However, the runs that make it to a title game and the way to make the Wing T most successful is to have a passing threat to go along with it. You need to keep a defense on their toes to allow the guards time to pull and find their blocks. When the defense isn’t that concerned about the pass, they load the box, follow the guards, and disrupt the backfield making the T less effective. And if the D is fast enough to keep up with Covington, it could make for a long day.

I'll bet the TSSAA would have called it a "rule violation" had it occurred in Grundy County. It is 100% a "rule violation" for ANYONE other than a registered student to participate in practice.

Tess Darby just got an offer from Kelly Jolley and the UT Lady Vols. That is awesome, she has had great career and closing in on 3000 points. Tess is not only is a great basketball player but a great person. Tess, we are so proud of you. Its going to be a fun year.

Regardless, when all is said and done, the outcome of this game will have no bearing on either team in their respective classification. I expect both teams to reach their semifinal destination and this game will only prepare both for an opportunity to be more prepared for a possible trip to Cookeville. Ok. I've thought about it. Ok......You're wrong. Privates schools can offer players FREE education to elite schools just for playing football. It's called scholarships. Open Zone allow parents to PAY for the kids to choose a better school to attend, even if it's for a better football program. At Alcoa they also get one of the top academic public schools in the state. Build it and they will come!

Yup. Over 90% of all school systems are open zone. Even Upperman. I bet Cookeville would like some of their zoned players back from the honey bees! HA!

Almost all open zone school systems allow students from out of county or even out of state.

Referees in that Athens-Meigs-Sweetwater area are the worst anywhere, multiple sports.

My cousin Dante Hickey in my opinion is the best play to ever step on the field at maryville.

This was actually pretty pathetic. Bradleys refs are something else. It’s kinda of sad. Curry’s only touchdown, he completely pushed down the defender.....no call. Then in the 2nd half bradleys throwing hailmarys knowing the refs were gonna start calling these fluke pass Interference calls to advance then down the field. And number 51 Cj Dills is the dirtiest offensive lineman in the state of Tennessee, hitting players after the play and piling on after the whistle blows. And not one time did the refs call it. It is what it is though.

I disagree I was a freshman Davis first year at Polk we won two games but after that season good off-season and spring we went 8-2. A lot of bad habits had to be broke and the culture from a few losing season and the season before he got there Polk went 0-10.
