You just keep getting darker and darker 91 . We used to be able to cut up with you but you have let anger and resentment change you totally . Not everyone from Maryville and Alcoa hates you or your school . Actually no one I know does . I do miss the old 91 that had a sense of humor4 points

I didn’t think they would win by that much. Congrats to McConnell for beating a team he rode till the talent was gone3 points

Voting gets very political. Sometimes adults can act like children. I'll leave it at that.2 points

Not looking so STUPID today am I? Tough schedule paid off last night for the Toppers. I knew if we didn't turn the ball over we could beat DB. Athlete for Athlete they cant match up!!!!! We still have to take care of business next week with a very dangerous Bearden team. Region 1 & 2 playoff teams are very equal except Maryville. I have enjoyed all the humor this week with all the DB fans believing they could play with Maryville. What a Joke.2 points

That happens more often than not. Most of the high profile examples of schools forfeiting wins in recent memory have come after TSSAA initially clearing the player. Most of the time there's a "detail" left out of the original assessment that only comes to light when whomever has an agenda against the school chooses to bring it forward... usually beyond the point of no return for their season. This could be avoided with a standard transfer form containing ALL the parameters allowing the transfer to be eligible to compete, and either a statute of limitation for reporting, or a limitation of forfeitures. If there were a three game forfeiture limitation, this would have come to light much quicker. In my opinion it's not much better to hold back information in order to better your own situation than to play an ineligible player. Just another example of TSSAA being lazy concerning their duties. If fairness is their main objective, they should do more on the front end to protect the innocent players from suffering from the actions/decisions of a few.2 points

Same account also accused more than 1 team of playing dirty. That account does a better job at firing up the opposing team than their coach would2 points

Hate it for the players. However, if you have to live within the bus routes, there is a lot of players in open zoned counties that could be ineligible. Also, like someone else said, some from Fayetteville said weeks ago that TSSAA investigated and cleared the player. If that's the case, the TSSAA has some explaining to do. What's the chance of an appeal?2 points

So that region is not too strong (other than Alcoa), huh!2 points

Well said, I mean it’s not that we don’t have the ability to run the ball we do. However, we had ball security issues(as I’m sure a lot of teams did last night) and if ya can’t pass and your fumbling the ball around you can’t score and that’s what happened. Say it’s a clear night, do we fumble 7-8 times like we did, Absolutely not. Do we have the ability to throw and complete passes, yes. Facts are it would’ve been a totally different ball game. If both teams make it that far, everyone will see.1 point

Nope. Using the existing (and half-full) structure at Eagleton Middle School... K-7 will be at the current Eagleton Elementary, 8-12 will be at EMS. Pretty much a done deal at this date.1 point

I tend to agree a bit. Teams that pass alot and with spcecial teams the weather can play a factor. It's is however good to always have a backup plan. Our first game with Clinton thia year the rain pouring and we only came out with 26-0 but again we were criticized by many saying we were not good enough. It pays to mount a good running game especially to be ready for play-off weather. And we too have fallen victim to inclement weather in past years.1 point

I think the boys will come out fighting on Friday night, because they know what is on the line!1 point

I think Upperman will soon be in 4A. The school just keeps growing. Freshman class has over 300 in it. IMO this wouldn’t be a bad thing getting away from the juggernaut aka Alcoa. While you have some good teams in 4A none are like Alcoa year in and year out.1 point

In the early 70’s one of the best running backs in the County lived in the City of Maryville and the head coach for the county school picked him up for school everyday so he could go to a small school. Maryville coaches came to him and said we can make you play for us and he said if you do I won’t play. They left him alone and he went on to be All State and play in college. His grandson suits up for Maryville now but no one in the county was complaining when he was scoring all those td’s for them but he is considered a traitor now that his grandson didn’t follow in his footsteps. Maryville and Alcoa are not the evil empire destroying the county one player at a time.1 point

Travel is the MAIN reason we dropped from 4a. Maplewood is paying the effects of this now.1 point

Bearden was 0-9 the last game of the year and William Blount somehow found a way to lose that game a few seasons ago with the same head coach you have now. Also got shutout last game of the season last year by a very very weak 4A school 27-0. WB seems to have some bad luck in the past with that last game for some reason. Hope they do well Friday Night, will be pulling for you.1 point

They tried to be sneaky and schedule a team that is known to be in a rebuilding stage and a cinderalla state champ that everyone knew would be a drop off after 2017 and 2018. That way they can say the beat the Perennial power Gordy and defending state champs Whitwell later on without really risking much.1 point

Wether anyone wants to admit it or not, the weather was the deciding factor in that game last night. We are a passing team this year and anyone watching could see neither team had a chance at throwing in that monsoon last night. Not to mention we had a very hard time holding onto the ball when we are usually sure handed. With that being said, SD had a smart gameplan. Why not just snap the ball to 1 guy and let him run downhill for at minimum 3-4 yards a carry? And when you got a guy as good as Young, he’s gonna eventually pop a big one or two. It was the perfect storm, literally, for SD last night. If both teams play again, it WILL be a different story.1 point

Not my son but my son does train with Kodiak regularly and I enjoy the conversation with Kodiak's dad Ben during those times. Good dude and he would never publicize his kids name, ever. Also not the kind of guy, as you are, who throws out snide comments. I'm just a long time lurker. I'll DM you my name if your interested. I have nothing to hide. That seventh place finish at NHSCA is more than respectable. Watch his matches in that tournament on Flo. If you are not impressed well then I would assume your just biased. Anyways he turned a corner after the Braxton Mann (second at 126 last year and lost to Palmer) match right around January of 2019. Looked very sharp from there out. He will and is going to beat a bunch of kids in this state with well known last names this year if he gets the chance. Perhaps I threw his name out too early but he is impressive and I think he proves it this year.1 point

Yet they chose not to move the game, it's not like the weather was a complete suprise to them . A significant part of PC's offense is throwing the ball. Rarely Is the weather in the playoffs going to be ideal so if you can't adapt now, it doesn't bode well for a team later1 point

If that's the case then there are players in every surrounding small school that are ineligible1 point

IMO, 3A is stronger than 4A and 5A this year. I'd put Alcoa and Pearl Cohn against the best in 4A and 5A.1 point

I like what coach Grabowski is doing at Basin. I hope that he stays and builds them back up.1 point

Indy throws the ball well, a wet game was absolute worst case scenario for them.1 point

They would dominate there also. Maybe not quite as much as they do in 3A.1 point

It was never even a game. Coalfield had very little positive yardage on offense. Qb play was terrible for them no run game to speak of. Os defense plays well and the offense was productive. Penalty were few for os and coalfield had big and dumb ones unsportsmanlike and personal foul. The game was not really ever close. Proud of the bobcats1 point

I like the way we seem to be clicking right now on defense. Need to bring the A game bc that offense is capable of scoring. Speed. Jacket offense seems to have turned a corner and it’s about time! BTW the game will start at 730 at CreekWood I think1 point

Maybe because someone with something to gain sits on the evidence until the most opportune time. That may not be the case here, but it does happen.1 point

The ineligible player didn't play the last 2 weeks. Why? Did Fayetteville finally get word on this matter or was the player hobbled by the injury he suffered in the first game against Jasper?1 point

And I didnt mean that as detrimental to Trousdale, i just don't understand why they are doing it the way they are. I have alot of respect for Trousdale and I met some cool folks there. I mean if you looked at the rankings you would have figured you all to have a loss against them if you hadn't seen the score of the game. It makes no sense. And stuff like THAT is why I don't care anything at all about rankings.1 point
