I agree 110%. Who takes over for Greenfield when the game is on the line? The Loretto game she took over. TCA had them on the ropes last year in the region with a bad ankle she took over. GC cut an 18 point lead to 3 in the forth last year in the region finals and she took that game over.Good to be nice and not hurt feelings but this one is not even a debate. Just like Heather Butler was the oil that made GC roll. When you have a PG that is dominant there is really no debate.

I think both Chloe and Tess are great players, but I concur with this statement. Every possession goes through Chloe and she is and has been the General on that team since she stepped on the court. She makes everyone around her better and by her being unselfish it allows her teammates to flourish. When all 3 were on the court at the Showcase classic in Martin, it was obvious to everyone in that gym who the best player on the court was and that is NOT a slight to Tess or Karly. They're all 3 great players, but Chloe showed in the 4th quarter what separates her from the other two.

Don’t work like that. They did that last year in the region tournament and gave them both MVP. I have never seen that happen in a tournament. I will make it easy for you. If there was one girl on Greenfield’s team that GC could pick to not play against them it would be Chloe by a long shot. She is the oil that makes that team run and is the best player maybe in the state. Tess is a great player but Chloe is Miss Basketball. IMO.

We had this rule a couple years back and then voted it away and for some reason voted it back last year. I m not a fan of the rule and agree that it seems that teams that have more kids wrestling those extra matches are grabbing extra points. Example we had 7 finalist (5 champs and 2 runner ups) and 1 4th place but came in 2nd in points to Brentwood that had 2 champs 1 runner up and 4th 4th place finishes. At the end of the day it is what it is team point wise but I ll take the 7 finalist of the team title.

Coach White may have a big ego and rubs some people the wrong way but to try and tear him down the way a couple have done on here is nothing but ignorance of the game or letting jealousy override their thinking! His coaching ability is unquestionable. If you can't say something good about a winner like him, just scroll on past the posts praising him without exposing your ignorance!

Idk if i agree with this statement. 14AA is not that great aside of South Side. I think they still are top 4 without her. The issue I have with this nomination in AA is, as I have stated on another post, I have seen 3 other players in AA the last few years with way better stats and way better character and not be pushed as much as I have seen her pushed this year. I hate that media and whoever else has a hand in this only seems to push the kids who have signed D1 or play on a "big name" AAU team. I question her character after seeing some of her actions this summer and and in a couple regular season games.

This statement furthers the transfer epidemic. If I’m good and want to be the best in the state I need to go where I’ll have a good supporting cast, not my hometown...

I just know some of the finalist aren’t even the best player on their team. Some are not the best player in their district. Does not make sense. And we’ll just have to agree to disagree. I do not think you should get this honor because you play on a team that has a history of success or recent success. This isn’t a team award and if Player A can line up against Player B and is better, they should be the one recognized

Absolutely, not taking anything away from the girls. They are all good players. However, I know for a fact there are 5+ girls in East Tennessee more skilled, better players and just absolutely upstanding young women who were left off these lists. (And that’s just this area). Because they don’t play in storied program? On the best team? Their coaches don’t kiss enough butt? Frustrating, to say the least.

First of all I would like to congratulate all the finalists. Many of the girls selected this year were probably pleasantly surprised. We should not take that joy away from them. However, the selection process is lacking and is laughable. I know for a fact that one of the girls, not to be named, has physically not gone into the locker room at the half with her teammates. Instead she went and sat with her dad in the stands. Yet, let’s award that attitude with a finalist nomination. That is what pisses me off.

Since leaving England, these two have been asking what to expect living life without “titles”. Maybe they should ask the people in Jasper since they’ve been living without a title for more than 25 years
