  1. It's a slap on the wrist because they have nothing on Oakland that proves they engaged in the recruitment of the player in question. Oakland's success recruits itself

  2. Well Duh since they are in their own league and play by their own rules. (Recruiting being one of those rules they can do)

  3. Less than 2 weeks before opening night of the high school football season. is this board going to wake up or is it going to remain like a morgue all season long?

  4. Thanks to RietzFan for getting me off the couch! Last year, D2 was loaded with Power 5 talent across the board. Will this year match the talent, surpass it, or will we see a down year? What D2 team has the most P5 talent? Who are the players to see?

  7. Clemson and Alabama have had tons of cases and they fought through it. IMO if they were going to cancel it would have already happend. Fall Camp starts Monday. High Schools are fighting through this. Let’s hope and pray the numbers are declining. I do hate it for the Big 10 and PAC 12 fans. It will destroy recruiting as long as the other conferences has the door open.

  8. Okelund should purchase a copy of stars’ book “Cruitin 101”.

  9. Maybe the AD or school official needs to come out with an explanation about the " non-refundable" part of the season pass purchase. It is there in plain text, that is what it says, not fake or false information. As you say ..... it's bad for football business which i think is a poor choice of words for high school football.

  12. I'm sure that's probably the only AD,coach or representative of a high school that ever went on social media and said something like that, maybe on coacht under an anonymous name ? Good thing the regular fans on here are not looked at like the college boosters. Every team in the state would be on probation for life.

  13. If masks are effective the positive effect should be in two weeks. The Dr. Graves study used historical data on patient admissions in Nashville hospitals not the actual current addresses of hospital admissions. Between 65-75% of TN's population has been under a mask ordinance. They stated more than once in the report that they can 't state masking is the source of the decline. Should be easy to add up the case counts since July 1 from counties with mandates and without mandates and look for statistical differences. I would wager that has been done and the results were not what was desired. When a free moving population anywhere in the world is exposed to the virus the infection rate spikes and then declines regardless of masks. Lockdowns will absolutely slow the spread but you get your turn as soon as it ends. ----------------------------------------------------- Researchers say they used historical patient flow data – which indicates the ZIP codes from where hospitals typically receive their patients –and daily hospitalization data to group hospitals by the percentage of patients they typically see from areas that have mask mandates. However, Vanderbilt also said it’s hard to say if mask mandates were the only reason for this trend because other mitigation measures – like restrictions on large gatherings and some businesses – are often in place, as well in these areas. “Again, we can’t say for sure that masking is the reason this is happening because there are often other interventions in places like Nashville and Memphis where bars and restaurants are limited, but we do see a clear relationship between areas where masks are required and hospitalizations for the coronavirus,” said John Graves, PhD, associate professor of Health Policy and director of the Center for Health Economic Modeling at Vanderbilt.

  15. I met him at a car show in Columbus Ohio at the Columbus Zoo. He was the MC of the car show. It was a huge one and he had two of his cars there that Mustang that he did a few years ago was one with the brown interior. He actually let me sit in it and look it over real well. I told him that I do cars in my off-time. I'm not a professional but it is my hobby. And I can say those people are truly artists. They are perfect. He is definitely one of my favorites. This is my baby!I did mechanical and had the interior and paint done by Johnny Crowe in Maryville. He is crazy good too!

  17. I dont post here much but I havent seen a darn thing that said if the season was cancelled that fans would be reimbursed. If it has I would love to see that! That's one reason why I'm not buying passes for the family. Anyways carry on. I enjoy reading everyone's post. Just thought I would say something.

  18. First off I was just making a statement because there has been nothing said about if they cancelled the season that people would get refunded. Nothing at all! Everything I have seen has made it a point that it was "non refundable." Maybe things should be stated VERY clear to the public from now on. Just saying......

  19. Station camp goes above .500 this year book it. The community does not understand how much previous coaching held team back record wise for the last 5 years. Brent has came in and done an absolute phenomenal job and is finally putting the players in a position to win.

  20. Ohio State and Nebraska have been the most vocal about playing. Will be interesting to see if they go rogue or if some of the top players try the transfer portal to play right away.

  21. I might be the only OSU alum on here, and as disappointed as I am, I understand the liability aspect. I would have preferred the Big Ten just sit tight and make a decision in a month once we've had time to see the effects of reopening college campuses. This could backfire terribly for the conference, especially if the Big 12, ACC, and SEC play without any issues. Believe it or not, this decision may actually have more to do with preventing the players from unionizing, rather than the medical liability.

  22. Everything you copied and pasted is also caused by any lung infection- bacterial, viral, or fungal. Stress cardiomyopathy? That can be from a broken heart, dealing with a relative's death, or just stressing out in general. Are you making the claim that the 80% of those infected with the coronavirus that have mild or no symptoms will suffer from long term heart effects? So a virus they don't know they have is silently damaging heir heart?

  24. We are gonna see what kinda coaching job he can do this year that's gonna be a real test. The past 2 years he walked into the MOST Talent that place has ever had. I'd say he wont be staying around there to much longer o bet that

  25. To be honest Maryville and Alcoa have built such a rivalry that they focus on each other day and night and really have made each better for it passing up other school such as the Blackman's and the Kingsport D-B's. I can tell you Maryville will never go out of state to play a football game because of the cost and fans won't go that far unless it was possibly a Saturday game but I just don't see that ever happening. We went to Kentucky my senior year and got screwed big time and so did Alcoa a few years ago. That should be a lesson learned.

  26. It is if it is a player not enrolled at his own school who is looking to transfer. Not good judgement at all. That's the recruiting coordinator's job, by the way.
