Exactly, a lifetime of dedication should be worth something, the ability to walk away on your own terms is the least you would expect. If it was time then so be it, do the discussions in private and let a man with a lifetime of work and commitment to the community walk out with his head held high. Maybe someday that administrator will know how the coach feels.2 points

I didn't have the privilege of playing for Coach T - so old that when I played he was at Kirkman as an assistant. Tyner is very different than when I played there but I love my school and I love those kids, Coach T, and his coaching staff. This was a very tough deal - obviously not handled well. I hope football at Tyner can eventually recover from this and I wish Coach T the best with the rest of his career and life. I hope that despite this sour ending he will cherish the legacy of impacting hundreds of young men with a truly unique and special kind of love. Man do the guys who played for him love this man - it is a real thing. Blessings to you Coach T!!!2 points

When you played Tyner, you knew you were in for a hard hitting game for 4 quarters. Wayne also had his kids play clean football. Huge amount of respect for him and his staff. I assure you they will regret this action because it wasn’t just about the wins to Wayne, he was invested in those kids in making them young men that had a positive impact on society after they left school.2 points

Lexington is very good at what they do, but it's tough to win against the caliber of teams that they'll face from here on out by just lining up and running over the defense. Union City has done it, the old Oklahoma and Nebraska teams did it, and even a few NFL teams have... it remains to be seen if someone has the players and scheme to stop Lexington from doing it too. Going to be a stacked field from here on out, and whomever survives to advance to Cookeville will have to bring it on every snap.1 point

I meant that in favor of Jasper. It may not have read that way but it was meant that way.1 point

Stewart is a big kid that rarely gets knocked back. He can pound 5-6 yards easily each time he has the ball. Fay City will have to cut down on the nonsense penalties. They need to play with urgency.1 point

Thanks Vandy. We’ve been shut out though for 10 years from the gold. We have 2 silvers in 2011 and 2013, but that’s still a loss.1 point

I know all Smith county schools are dealing with a very high amount of covid cases.1 point

Apparently some of the Moore Co posters don’t think y’all have seen a team that will spread you out and take advantage of their speed. Shame y’all won’t be prepared for that not having seen a team that does that this year.1 point

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. But I can guarantee Milan coaches and players aren’t approaching it this way. They know Covington is the big dawg on the block until they are beaten by a west tn team when it matters. Covington is the favorite until proven otherwise and the Dawgs are preparing to fight the bully on the block.1 point

So do you teach your son to play dirty. I saw him hit 48 late and shove him and when he retaliated he got flagged for it. Our coaches had to call a time out to calm our kids and tell them to keep our composure because if the way yall play. It happens every year though so we aren't surprised by it now.1 point

Fortunately for the Hampton coaches and players, they don't agree with you. I'm sure they're pumped and ready to come down and beat Meigs - just because they've been told they can't. That's plenty of motivation!1 point

If they social distance on the mini-me bleachers, should be able to have about 12 people over there for the visitors.1 point

From the outside looking in all the signs point to a Stewart Co. win. The advantages for Stewart include: 1. TEN hard fought wins this season. Those guys never quit and overcome adverstiy. 2. Giles has an almost three hour commute, so Stewart County will prolly have more fans. 3. Home field advantage.... just ask Straford and Fairview about that.1 point

I want to congratulate our former AC QB Jamie Chadwell whom is now Head coach at Coastal Carolina ranked #15 in the nation. His smaller Brother does an excellent Job as our Defensive Coach Jonathan Chadwell and without him we would not be where we are. Great job Jon and Cross.1 point

I would have to agree with you on this one, but I’ll put the spread at 7-14 points1 point

Hated the kid lost the ball trying to a couple extra yards. Farragut has a great passing game and came an inch of getting it back. These are the type games I enjoy that come right down to the very end. Really no winners or losers in a game like this. Congrats to both teams on a great game.1 point

Delusional. You have less overall talent on the field this year than last. The difference is they are actually being coached now.1 point

If they start playing "Ga. On my mind" I'm done.1 point

Coach Turner had a great run at Tyner. Politics in schools nowadays are just ridiculous.1 point

They will most likely regret this. Coaching at Tyner requires alot more than just football knowledge.1 point

I think Wednesday, but not sure, bro. Thank God for C&G or we would miss the Rhea Co game. We are blessed.1 point

There will be no horse riding from the Corndogs this year... 48-8 final Huntingdon evens the series and avenged the two heart breaking losses C-Ville gave us in consecutive years. Cornersville faithful - Much respect. Except CB10. He's mysteriously quiet when you guys are down. But for all the other regular posters, it's been a fun 4 years! Til we meet again one day...1 point
