  1. No doubt we will learn from it. A little bit a lull that all teams go through.

  3. She has been balling out all year. She is the best player I have seen play this year. She is a matchup problem no matter who she plays. A big can’t guard her because of her speed. A smaller player can’t guard her because of her size. They miss Capps shooting which prevented double teams on Miller but she is good enough to score regardless.

  5. Stone defeated Oak Ridge 82 - 67. Khamari Mitchell-Steen dropped in 30 points for the Lady Wildcats, Miller burned the nets for 36 in the winning effort for the Lady Panthers Although, it was a loss, it was also a great early season learning experience for the Cardinal and Gray. RWR!

  6. Well, putting R. Hunter in there as a half back along with Frame would have been interesting instead of trying to get 75 to The Fridge (#72) from Ditka's Bears.

  7. Hey man how it going? I believe your qb is pretty good. I dont believe from what I saw he is a dual threat qb, but he is an accurate passer and has a great touch on the ball. Considering his youth and how he played in our game you will have great QB either next year or the year after. He did really good as a sophomore though. To answer your other question the reason I believe we lost the state game is because your line was just much better than ours as a whole. We had 2 maybe 3 players that were maybe as good as most of the rest of your line on offense and defense. I believe we could easily match you in every position except your line. The first half we tried to run between the tackles and just like last year we weren't able to get it done. This year you had the same line on both sides of the ball pretty much so I'm not sure why we took that approach again. If we had started the game like we started the second half the game could have went either way I believe. At least that's my opinion anyhow. Hope that answered tour question sir. And I will gladly talk football with you anytime.

  11. I believe you will be right behind Marion in 2021. They should have the horses to win big and possibly win the whole thing in 2A since the top two teams (Peabody and McKenzie) moved down.

  12. Incorrect. They have a bus route that has been in place for at least 60 years and and enrollment of 283 at present. I was at 235 to 250 over the past 25 or more years. Marion County High (Jasper) and Whitwell also have bus routes that were setup long ago as well. Whitwell typically has ~100 more students than SP and Jasper has played , AA, 2a ball for years and were in 3a for a while. Lastly, a kid from one of the other high schools can't just switch schools without following procedures by the Marion County School Board and the school. If they do that and want to play, the must do that before they have participated such as transferring for the freshman year. Otherwise, they have to sit out for a year as per TSSAA rules due to the bus routes that have been established by the school board for 60+ years. Marion County High (Jasper) isn't a countywide school as its name implies.

  13. This is generally true. However, many run bus routes and do have zones set up by the school board. Marion County has been set up that way for at least 60 years. TSSAA goes be these zones in their by-laws. I think it was more common at one time than it is now, but many still do it that way.

  15. It’s County wide from the central offices. Both city and county schools. Along with middle school, elementary rec ball, and it’s not listed but I suspect back yard ball, x-box, play station, computer, old fashioned paper triangle football, and even one on one in your head. Can’t do ANYTHING until Jan. I’m SICK of this crap.

  17. Most people are misinformed about "open enrollment" schools... ALL schools are open enrollment unless their own School Board passes a resolution to restrict, and even then 95% of those are in some form "open". The term "closed zone" implies that under no circumstances any student residing outside a predetermined boundary (set by the Board) be eligible to enroll.

  18. The overtime rules in high school football were established by the National Federation. The TSSAA has "NEVER" deviated from the national federation rules.
