  1. You are the one who brought up the proper order of life. Students in some counties are not able to go to school. And you are the selfish person who has already lived your youth and want to take away these kids lives which they can't go back and get. Apparently suicide is not important to you, since only your life matters.

  2. The powers to be think our facilities are quite adequate. They say there is no money for turf, better stands, or a track that doesn't encroach on the field, and that's probably true. A lot of people would rather invest their money in paying tuition to the Jackson privates. Although there is some money here, Haywood County is one of the poorest counties in the state. There's no major company or industry to help support the program in any significant way. There are few, if any, big time boosters. As more and more people move out of Brownsville and as more businesses close because of the pandemic, the situation is only going to get worse. As you know, running a football program costs a lot of money. Haywood was only able to play 2 regular season games at home in 2020. We were at home for 3 playoff games, but the T$$AA kept a major share of that. With ticket sales limited to one-third capacity, i know the program. like other programs across Tennessee and other states, had to suffer financially. Haywood sought donations from the community to make the trip to Cookeville, but I'm sure other communities did that as well. As more and more communities like Milan invest in their youth and athletic programs, I fear what might happen to Haywood's football program in the future. It will definitely hamper our ability to attract and keep good coaches like we have now. I could say more, but I'd rather not say it here.

  3. Well with the Democrats getting their president in office, more babies will be killed each and every day. I think all the democrats in Tennessee should move to New York or California or Vegas. Go where their kind is running the state! Where shutdowns and lockdowns are in place. Don’t live with us heathens that believe in God an the Bible.

  7. Exactly. TSSAA caters to the East. Play the games in Martin or at the civic center in Jackson and see how East Tn fans react.

  9. Maybe Tech will allow fans. Maybe that’s the reason for the move. Besides Tech is more centrally located and a better venue overall.

  10. Suicides in Vegas have doubled among students. More suicides than COVID deaths in this age group. Humans are made for relationships. School and sports are needed for students. If human life was the priority , we wouldn't be killing 3000 babies each day.

  12. He’s a lucky young man. I’m trying to imagine what it must be like to have 18 schools to choose from to go to for free. Must be an awesome feeling.

  13. Follow the science! Protect elderly . Kids are not in any danger so quit destroying their lives with misinformation. We are Americans , we can make logical decisions without government terrifying us. Leftists got what they wanted, Trump out. Now they want to destroy anyone not playing their game. Play ball!

  14. Long time HHS sports fan here. Over 30 years have been to a lot of football, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer games. Add in a few track meets. Boys BB has been to the state tourney 1 time (92 with the Kerry West, Kevin Fields team). Went to the sub state with the Bubba Smith team in 94-95. To be fair let’s look at the current soph, juniors, and seniors records from middle school from 2017-2019 (Ellis and Hawkins). It was 45-42. In other words average. Station Camp, Hunter, and Doss are better almost every year. Neither Ellis or Hawkins has won a regular season county championship since 2009. As far as College players go I can remember Kerry West playing at Belmont, Bubba Smith playing at Furman and Jeff Long playing at Lee, don’t remember any others. If you go to the Commando BB website and look at the rosters from the past 20 years I see a lot of good young men, a lot played football, don’t see many great basketball players. The talent comment is laughable, lot of good young men, don’t see great basketball. HHS has a great winning tradition in Soccer with numerous state titles, football with 4 state finals appearances , golf with numerous state titles and state tourney appearances, baseball with 4 state tourney appearances. Obviously you are a disgruntled parent. If you have a problem go see Principal Cotter. Do not denigrate HHS on line. You have what 2 posts, disgusting!

  15. Oakland vs Alcoa Week 1 on a Saturday night at Vanderbilt Stadium would be the most electric opening game in that stadium in years.

  16. What an amazing facility. Milan will be a force in 4A. They have a great coaching staff and their players are incredibly dynamic. Getting away from Alcoa is definitely a great thing moving forward.
