Thinking Watertown can gel and more reps equals better execution, very young and 2 A is honestly wide open imho ! I still think you guys pull out 6 wins, I get it with success for some years now that’s not what you wanna hear but we have all been there and in small ball we are all a injury or 2 away from rowing the same boat H2O is ! Heads up lots of ball to play,GL to y’all ! ROLL GOLDEN TIDE4 points

Good win for the Jackets in this age old rivalry, before the game at an eatery before the game last night a gentleman in his Clarksville shirt noticed my SHS hat and asked if I was going to the game just as he was , I replied yes and he told of playing against the Jackets in the in the mid fifties and was very complimentary of Coach Boyce Smith , this is what makes high school football so great , still after all these years taking pride in our schools and communities. Hats off to Coach Shelby and Coach Wilson for continuing this 98th meeting of the Wildcats and Jackets.3 points

Should be a battle of the top two teams in 4a this season so far to see who gets home field advantage for the playoffs. It’s a huge early season game with the loser more than likely having to travel to AC or SD in the 2nd round this year. I think Spradlen will come with a good game Plan like he did last year in the playoffs. Questions for Betsy is can they contain Gudger ( 12 carries for 200 yards in the play offs) and the WR’s on the outside without Hughes roaming around at the Safety spot like last year. Greeneville will need to contain Rollens and put pressure on him to not let Roberts hurt us like he did SH. We will need to swarm to the ball like we did against Knox Central and play mistake free football. To be the Champs you have to beat the Champs!3 points

I think LC and GC both have Covid. Let’s just run it back next week3 points

Yeah I almost lost my dad ( 2 months on a vent) and is on permanent oxygen right now. I’ve loss friends who played by all the rules and gave up their lives that are sadly dead now. So yeah I’ve been touched by this God awful disease and I still stand by we have got to move on someway. Again I don’t know how to go about that, but we got to get back to living. And I’m truly sorry for your friends and their families.2 points

I Guess you weren't at the game either.....Greeneville only ran 36 plays the entire game. Gudger carried the ball 3 times and the top receiver was not a starter with 1 catch for 43 yard TD. Grainger had 3 TO's, 32 yards of total offense, and had the ball for 30 min compared to Greeneville's 18 min on O. The 2nd and 3rd team did most of the scoring.2 points

SS, my son played center on the Powell teams that had the Bruhns, Smith, MaGaha and others over 6'5" and 270+. The Knox News Sentinel said their O-line was bigger than UT's that year. They struggled blocking smaller, quicker teams. He was at your game last night and made the comment to me that they (OR O-line) reminded him of their teams. Size isn't always good! But there are ways of compensating for quickness. Don't give up on this group yet!2 points

If this was a playoff game it would shatter the school attendance record and could make an argument for state record. This is an old rivalry game, dating back to the early 70’s. Westview kicked it to us pretty good in the early to mid 2000’s. Best WV matchup we had in the 2000’s was in the playoffs in 2007 I believe it was first round and ended 28-26. Hope to see this game stay on the schedule2 points

It was good to see how formidable both teams are and the level of admiration shown on both teams towards each other was very nice to see. Good game good crowd good people from both cities!2 points

A fun game to watch as a fan of the game. Simpson put on a show, Peabody’s studs delivered… couldn’t have asked for a better game between two teams that are fun to watch.2 points

You guys have to find something on offense, I hate to put it like this but I didn’t see the type of athletes were you can “out-athlete” most teams like you guys have done the last few years, maybe look at more of a pro set instead shotgun2 points

You are right in that it "SEEMS" OR plays poorly in preseason scrimmages and then stumbles out of the blocks. I say "SEEMS" because I have no real records to prove or disprove this opinion. In another opinion, it just feels different this season. People are starting to think the usual growth did not happen between game One and Two. I tend to see things through Cardinal and Gray glasses so I still think OR will catch fire. Go Cats RWR!1 point

GUESS WHAT!?!? ***FINALLY*** after all these years, Dresden HAS A BAND! THE ROAR pop band. Betcha we’ll have a marching band soon. Luv it!1 point

I’m going to be truthful… I was expecting a lot more out of him on both sides of the ball. Not saying he isn’t a great athlete and maybe he’s being under utilized, but up to this point I haven’t been overly impressed with his play on defense either. Theres a lot of football left to be played though.1 point

When don't have the players to run the spread you have to adapt to what you have. They need to run the Wing T, more misdirection with 4 backs in the backfield. The single set back just isn't going to work. He refuses to throw the ball to Watts, I think they threw to him twice last night. Rest went to Seay kid, and decent DC can figure that out and double him. There was one play late in the fourth where watts was alone out wide, the DB and CB were in the middle of the field talking, Watertown snapped the ball and QB kept it, no a single coach seen the busted coverage and it was on Watertown side of the field.1 point

I saw Trenton play Milan this year and Fayetteville last night at Lewis Co.Talked to several from Fayetteville.Think it's going to come down to those 2 teams.Number 3 for Fayetteville is a stud but he's not as quick as Ganaway.Fayetteville has size, excellent receivers ,9 is a beast.Number 11 is very good. Both teams swarm to the ball on defense.Based on what I've seen, maybe a touchdown nod to Trenton. But will be a great game1 point

IF WE LOSE TO CLINTON..... I will be pissed because I still believe we can turn the season around and win some Playoff games. I really do!1 point

That was a bit more than disappointing. The that was almost embarrassing. Looked like some kids wanted no part of stopping the run and then wanted to jaw with the crowd. I’ve been around Unaka football for the last 20 years and that was one that wasn’t pretty all around. Hats off to Cloudland though, they came in and took care of business. That’s a tough bunch of kids that play the game the right way.1 point

Tyner is no slouch. They always have talent, some years more than others but they are always a solid opponent. I agree with you Truth, that's why I'm in wait and see mode. 04 team had a couple of weapons and 05 was strictly Van after losing Bragg. Coach Pruitt did a great job of adjusting to what he had and building the offense around them. Now he has a plethora of options, which should make his job a little easier when it comes to dialing up plays.1 point

I was at this game last night. I was not impressed with Marion. If Dunlap holds onto the ball, the game is alot closer. Yall might be on to sometihng about Coach Pruitts approach to this game. If Marion plans to compete, i think they have to improve. Pikeville and Meigs are a little better right now i beleive. I liked how Marion used 14 more last night.1 point

I'm beginning to think Tyner is pretty good. Preseason I'd have thought you would run away with it, but Tyner keeps impressing some.1 point

I would too. Definitely a playoff atmosphere. This game helped us no doubt, but I believe this game woke up what was gonna be a well oiled machine. I think WV represents 2A in the west, but that’s my opinion. Many of good football to be played1 point

Awesome win by the Panthers containing a running back like that. The line on both sides came up big for Riverside. Good game1 point

Dang, I just got whip lashed. We went from football to politics in nothing flat but I don't mind. Football is kind of sad right now. LOL WE NEED TO BEAT CLINTON for the sake of our mental health.1 point

I personally hope he has what it takes to be successful at the next level. Be nice to have a Weakley County kid with a national championship. Regardless of what school he attends. Kind of like the Dresden graduate who won a world series ring last year.1 point

What happened to you? Would you like to share with the group? Are there any witnesses? I am so sorry you are having to go through this. You are not alone. Call the 1-800-RED-RBLS were mean to me hotline. That number again 1-800-733-7257. Operators are standing by.1 point

Maryville is a very well coached team. You can see it in the way they carry themselves. No taunting or showboating. Very rarely do you see them commit a personal foul. And you just don't see them make many mistakes.1 point
