I am broken and really can’t even really put two thoughts together but please know I love you all and Mike and I have coveted all calls text and most importantly your prayers. I now ask you to please be in prayer for me and our family as we try to figure out how to do life without our rock! Mike Molder was an amazing, husband, father, Popa son abd friend . If you knew Mike you loved Mike ! He was funny, smart and loved with everything he had ! He has touched the lives of so many people and will be missed . I will always love you . This is not goodbye sweetheart this is I will see you again one day in heaven and we will never have to be apart again."

This one hurts really bad, rest easy Mike, you were top of the class brother.. never goodbyes always see you laters! Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

Stunning news. Even with knowing someone is fighting, it's still a very difficult blow when they actually succumb. Real sorry for those who knew him. He mostly was frustrated with me and my smart mouth but it was all in good fun. He was very passionate about the game and all the communities. The world needs more like him, but God made the call. We will suffer, but he will not anymore.

Very sad news to hear. I did have the pleasure of meeting Mike at a few games and he was a true fan of the game. Both him and Lee put in many hours of their time for our enjoyment. He will be truly missed and may God be with his family at this time. We have lost a great member of our T family.

Oh and let’s not bother the family too much right now. It’s too soon. His wife and him had an amazing friendship and relationship, and enjoyed each other’s company all the time. Be respectful. Thanks

The true measure of a man isn’t in terms of monetary means or worldly processions, but rather the impression he leaves on others. Like many of you on here, I didn’t know Mike personally, but watched his shows and met him at a ball game once and had a great conversation. He and Lee have done as much, if not more, than anyone to promote high school football across our great state in the past few years. The impression he left on so many of us speaks volumes for the man that Mike was. Thank you for all you’ve done Mike and rest easy brother.

This news traveled extremely fast. Oh my Heavenly Father! We don’t always understand your purpose, and even then it doesn’t make losing someone any easier. I just pray for comfort for his family and all those who knew him. There’s not too many folks you meet that when you see them you already start smiling. He just had that feel-good aura about him. I myself commend those kids at Baxter and Stone.

I personally like it. At state last year every match had a pretty tough kid in it and it made watching more enjoyable to me. I think this way it means more to be a state qualifier. i see a lot of comments about teams not getting any state qualifiers, my advice is work harder and up your game - like start and get involved in a youth club, help out with the middle school team, bring in clinicians to work with your kids, make it exciting when you have home matches, for example we run out to music and wrestle under a spotlight, kids go to the mat to their own walk out song and we throw t-shirts to the crowd with each pin and make sure you have a special seating area for club and middle school kids so they can get close to the action. When i came to WCHS the program was really bad and then they moved us to region 5 and i was told not to expect to get anyone to state any time soon and my comment back was we just need to up our game and we did and became pretty competitive. i truly believe this will make wrestling better in Tennessee and not worse

This one’s gonna be a great game. Westmoreland is a solid team. I don’t care if they’re winless or not, they’re good. You look at the 5 teams they’ve lost to, and look at the scores and quickly realize that they are solid. It would be interesting to know what Clay’s record would be had they played those same games. The Bulldogs have two quality wins over Jo Byrns and Cornersville, but there’s a good chance that Westmoreland will be the best team they’ve met yet. This one is gonna be Homecoming in Celina which typically brings distractions, but the Dawgs have won their last two Homecoming games over Gville, and then Westmoreland in a dramatic fashion last year. I’m looking forward to this one.

That's what I have said, be nice to have a spread package with all of them out there. Wouldn't hurt to have that in the closet. I think pruitt is of the adage that three things can happen when you pass and two of them are bad. I'm telling you that will come back to bite us.

I remember back when 2-8 Stratford unleashed on all of us in '18 that you were well aware of their potential. Even after you guys thrashed them by like 50 in the regular season. I think East destroyed them in the regular season too and we beat a VERY GOOD East team round 2 that year. Thanks for chiming in brother! Good luck to your Firebirds this week. Huge game.

I had to go back and read a little bit but it looks like region 6 is going for the sweep lol. That’s a long time coming. To answer some of y’all’s questions the only two teams you have to worry about is East and Stratford coming out this region. Beginning of the year I said Stratford is going to be better then East but I guess they proved me wrong on the field.

I agree, I wouldn’t write R5 at all. Yes, they have great athletes. How do you combat that, coaching. I know outside of East Nashville R6 has the better coaching, and to me in the playoffs is where the cream rises to the top on the coaching side.

In all seriousness, thoughts and prayers to the Englewood community on the passing of Wayne Webb. Wayne was a great guy and always enjoyed playing his teams.

I do as well, it is commendable. They absolutely did as they should. But someone asked whether or not it was news worthy. It is what happens in the current political environment. On the one hand, some group wants to increase exposure by going after a southern rural school district and claims a victory when they think they've succeeded. BTW, this was all over their site just a couple of days ago, no mention now. On the other hand, Fox gonna Fox. It's all political, with an unwitting participant (high school football teams) as the medium. Everyone has an agenda these days and the fact that it can penetrate small town sports means that it's everywhere. However, since it did happen, I'm glad there is a counterpoint, Fox, regardless of their motivation. Enough about this, hope everyone is healthy before and after the game Friday night.

I have scouted every pee-wee prospect in this area and I would put him in the top 10 of the 2030 recruiting class in this area.

If Milan loses this game... looking at a 3-7 or 4-6 season... It is interesting to think about with all of the money invested into the coaches and facilities... and the talent on that team.

The 2 coaches don't care for each other going back to the 2011 semifinal game when then West coach Scott Cummings publicly accused Powell's defensive linemen of mimicking his QBs cadence. West had 7 or 8 false starts in the first half of that game alone, which saw Powell win 29-6 and advance on to play Henry County in the Blue Cross Bowl. Just something to add to the rivalry that is the Battle of Emory Road.

Had to be Springfield. I’m curious to see what happens to Boyce Smith field, since there will be no “true” middle school in Springfield in a couple years. The magnet school is a great concept, but using SMS to house it is a terrible idea. School leaders really dropped the ball on that.

Poll the kids and they also say school isn’t necessary. Games not broken and doesn’t need to evolve. Leave it alone. The 97% and less talented teams should have the ability to strategize and win.

Yep. Should be no more than 4 public school and no more than 2 private school classifications in this state. And I actually prefer 3 publics, but that will never happen again.
