I’m a Hampton guy and I have total respect and admiration for trousdale county. They have been the example for most teams to try to be like. You guys have a great tradition and I know the type of teams you guys field every year. We are excited to be meeting you guys again and will give it our best shot. We will eventually get over that semifinal hump. Hope this is the year. You guys should at least know you’ve played a tough game come Saturday morning. Give it 100 percent every play and may the best team win and win or lose with class.

The main difference between the 2019 and this years riverside team is definitely the offense. In 2019 when It came playoff time we put one of our best WR at QB and ran pretty much wildcat schemes the whole playoffs passing only a handful of times. Come this year Riverside offense is as balanced as it has been in a long time. Hernandez, who was a sophomore on that 2019, is a senior this year and has matured greatly and is playing the best ball he ever has. This years offense is a lot better especially since the others may not know what’s coming. In terms of the defense, it may not be on the same level but it is not far off at all. I know Coach Frost will have a excellent game plan and will adjust when needed! Panthers win this one 35-14

Congratulations to Elizabethton. Great Game plan and they won the battle up front on both sides of the ball. When I seen in pregame cam lister wasn't playing and mason laws was limping really bad my heart sunk because I knew we had to be healthy especially up front to beat a team as good as Elizabethton. Up front and of course the QB position is where this Greeneville team was lacking compared to 2017 and 2018. There is a lot I would like to say about the Greeneville situation but this is not the time or thread to because I don't want to take anything away from Elizabethton and their win. They out played Greeneville tonight and deserve the win they got. We were extremely out Coached. And Greeneville's season was lost before they played the first Game. There is no place in football for politics. But once again I want to congratulate the Cyclone's and wish them luck rest of the way . Keep it in region 1 guy's

Hat's off to a very tough Forrest team. That is one scrappy bunch of boys - hard to beat at the "rock."

All I can say is wow. I've never witnessed a game like this at orr field in my lifetime. The heart of Cland football cannot be denied. After getting stripped on our own 7 and getting burned by gallion for the go ahead score, Cland takes the football down the field and scores with 1.4 seconds left. We could've given up but the spirit of zac Benfield hastaken the souls of these boys and inspired them to new heights. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to celebrate on our sacred field. It's been a long time coming

I will have to say that Betsy defense in my opinion......unprecedented had to stop the best fire power in the state 4A. Going forward we will see but to stop this year's Greeneville in there tracks, like this, is of course in my opinion......unprecedented ...Period!

Kids don’t want to play for Heritage and WB for a variety of reasons. Some of it is self-inflicted on Heritage and WB’s part. Some of it isn’t and that’s a whole other long conversation. They aren’t having success in football even when they’re supposed to (like WB in 2021). Unlike Heritage, William Blount actually has the potential to be a .500 playoff contender year in and year out and the person over the team right now is, to put it nicely, not getting the job done.

I like the Pirates in this one. I think they have the best skill players in the East. Their secondary will stay stride for stride with any Gordonsville receiver. Coach Stone may play zone some, but I would play tight press man just how Columbia Academy did against Cade Kennemore to shut him down. I think if we do and buy that extra second of nobody open our D line can feast SP- 34 Gville- 21

This community cares about playing time more than they do winning. If the scenario that @FHSAlum12 mentions plays out, the parents likely won't care if the new hire ensures everyone gets playing time.

I have seen a lot of talk about Josh Jones being a potential candidate on this thread. If that is the case and Bearden hires him then that entire program/administration is a joke. He has spent the bulk of his "career" coaching little league football. He has only been a high school coach for three years. One of those years being an abysmal disaster at CAK during Mozingo's early tenure. Any below average coach could take the athletes at Powell and run Matt's offense. As for him being able to get kids there, Bearden is not like Powell, it is already over capacity in the building and it is near impossible to get a transfer in unless there is a bona fide change of address. This isn't the baby falcons rec team, that is 6A high school football.

Game day at last! This game has the feeling of first one to 20 will get the W. Hard hitting, smack your momma in the mouth kinda game. Just hope @H2Oman can keep his eye on the game and off the sloots

I'm really torn on this one. Either Rhea runs all over Powell (similar to what we saw against Karns) or the trio of Nolen, Soles, and Stanford blow up the point of attack and consistently put the Eagles off schedule. I really don't know which we will see, but the Panthers better be prepared to play their assignments tonight. I also think Stockton is going to be used a lot to keep Rhea's defense off balance. This game feels like a toss-up to me, but I think the cold could be an interesting factor that should play in Rhea's favor. Looking forward to a great game!

If you will look a few posts down I am totally joking. Haywood is a TALL mountain to climb. They held us to a grand total of exactly zero points last time we played. 0 you do not have to real smart to figure out that their defense is legit. Heck their whole team is legit. Haywood was clear cut the best team we have played this year. I was just trying to get a rise out of the posters! It failed miserably, but I tried. I think the posters were thinking " we will see what those freshman do Friday! " Let's all just pray for a injury free, clean, not decided by the zebras game tomorrow night! It is win or go home time, so I will be pulling for the winner the rest of the way regardless of the outcome. I sure home it is the boys in Orange!
