  1. Happy for Robert. He’s a good man. No one will love WB any more than him. No one will love the kids any better either. And I promise you he will be “all in” with the program. It would poetic justice for Coach Reeves to succeed and do well. He’s put in his time.

  2. The New Word of the Day at William Blount is "Cheesehead". I talked with the lady that runs the concession stand today and Cheesehead anybody is better than what we had.

  4. No doubt. Amazing how these teams have reloaded. Especially Loretto. I agree that they are a different animal. I will be the first to tell you I am really impressed with how Loretto has reloaded. Didn’t think they would be this dominant before the season since y’all lost 3 pretty good players. Same with Westview. Players that have stepped in for both squads are really good players and some are Freshman. From what I understand, y’all’s younger programs are loaded too. Look forward to watching y’all. It is going by too quick. Ours has been out 2 years and we still hate her career is over. It goes by fast. I will post on this site the day of and I will probably wear a red GC pullover and will be easy to spot. Hopefully I will get to meet some of y’all.

  6. Five candidates interviewed from four different counties. Each interview was about one hour. Candidates were told February would be the date for the announcement. Several other coaching positions have been filled but not announced.

  8. It was a good game, very physical. I wouldn’t call it an upset. This district is wide open. Cumberland traveled to Macon on Friday then Livingston on Saturday. That’s two long trips back to back.

  9. There really are some dumb people in this world BPM. Thanks for helping me realize that. I’m sure Dyersburg is proud to have you.

  10. We're definitely not unbeatable. No girls team in TN is unbeatable. At the same time, Burdette hasn't "exposed" Loretto. She may have in a few games last year, but she didn't expose us this year. We are a completely different team. She made some good offensive plays, and I believe she finished with like 16-18 points. We didn't have problems scoring in the paint, and she wasn't close to an unstoppable force offensively (not to mention they had a lot of trouble feeding her). So i'm not sure what you're referring to here. We can hypothesize what will or can happen all day, but the games will be played and I'm sure there will be a few shockers along the way. A lot of people doubted how good Loretto truly was earlier in the year. Westmoreland could beat GC or WV on any given night. Karly balled out that game (30 plus), but outside of her, our shots weren't falling like they have in every other game (still won by 7 on the road). We all know SS is a great team, beating them by 11 on the road/neutral was a solid win. I heard multiple people say Summertown would play us close, that game was never close and if not for 2 separate clutch 3's by Campbell, could have been blown wide open. Anything can happen in basketball, but I think all any of us in Lawrence County are saying is Loretto is special this year, but that definitely doesn't mean we are unbeatable. Crazy things are known to happen at Substate & State! Any of the top 7ish teams could get hot & win in AA. But I'll still say, if a AA team beats Loretto, they're going to have to shoot well, protect the ball, handle pressure, create space in the halfcourt game, and play great Defense. If a team doesn't put all of that together, I don't think it will happen. If it does, I'll be the first to congratulate that team on a great win! I'm just excited to see it all unfold!

  11. South Gibson beat North Side by 10........I agree it's tough for teams to go into Medina and win, but North Side has to figure out how to score effectively against a zone defense. They won't get far in the postseason as they should if they can't figure that out. Making one pass and taking a quick three isn't that strategy.
