I know this is a Football board. But! You guys have to be proud of former Blackman Quarterback Drew Beam. He is a great pitcher. He is doing a great job. Go Vols

We are indeed proud of Drew. He is just an all around good kid and a great competitor. He missed two years of his high school baseball, due to a surgery on his arm. And as good as he is a player , he is just that kind of person, I know his folks well and they are a really really good bunch of people. Reminds me of a pitcher we had at Blackman Mid 2000's by the name of David Price.... he did ok for himself I guess...

I have a better offer for you. I will pay for all 10 spots and give them to elderly Grandparents if this coach is still here in 18 months. I will also make a 5 year donation of $25,000 if he is still here and they are winning more than 3 games a year by year 5. Going out on a limb.

Also the extra year a lot of college players got has created a log jam too. I agree though it has in a way helped the FCS and lower to get better players.

Ok, that is what happened. Cody pissed off the wrong person by talking smack to the wrong kid. See it didn't know that. Once Zach left the Tullahoma news. The flow if info i had pretty much stopped. Now that Zach works for Tullahoma city schools, he says nothing. That 18 year old girl they hired to take Zach's place isn't verygood with info either. With girls you have to keep your mouth shut. With boys you can say anything. Surprised Cody didn't know that. Since he coaches both.

After doing some research I found out Mr. Simbeck was voted Region Offensive Coordinator of The Year two years in a row in 6A (McMinn County) and now in his 2nd year at Central he's honored as Region 2-5A Offensive Coach of The Year . Hmmm... maybe this Rankin guy ain't so dumb after all.

I am going to ask this question for the 20+ time: Is the UTC Wrestling program fully funded (9.9) with wrestling scholarships? I always get the “I don’t know or I think so but I am not sure”

If you are going to bash an entire program at least get your facts correct. It has not been 22 years since the last AA. The topic itself bears a bigger discussion than I can give time to now but I would not say that they are the joke of NCAA wrestling. I believe there are some other programs doing worse... that said I am sure that the coaching staff has expectations and a plan to improve. I think the standard that UTC should be targeting from a support, recruiting, and developing is winning the SoCon but gaps to close there for sure.
