  2. It is the Jamboree. Who cares who wins? It doesn't count. Just hope no one gets hurt.

  4. Rollins carried that EHS team last season. Looking towards this season, it will be many players spreading the wealth. What’s scarier? Not knowing where the ball will go? Or knowing and STILL not being able to do anything about it? No Rollins, no Roberts, no Gudger, no Galespie. It’s 2022. It’s the next chapter, for everyone. It’s why high school football is the best IMO. Watching young boys become young men and mature into special people is rewarding and entertaining. Our programs have cycled a lot of quality people through their ranks. I’m just excited to see the next generation step up.

  9. You do realize that HS football is there for the kids, right? It's easy for you to throw some elitist comment out there that degrades struggling programs, but what isn't easy is to elevate struggling programs into a competitive team every night of the season. One last thing, football is elective...kids aren't forced to participate in an activity that you obviously think is an embarrassment to them if they don't achieve a certain level of success, but if they do elect to play, they get the same sense of belonging, the same tutelage and mentorship, the same physical fitness, and the same commitment of their time away from elements of society detrimental to them becoming productive citizens. Take the option to play, even for a "bad" (your perception) team, away from those who wish to play and you've taken something from them that you can't replace.

  10. This looks like a pissing match to me. As long as the turf was paid for by someone other than the SCBOE, why does it bother you? Does it matter if it was paid for by one, two or fifty donors? I wonder how many people got hurt over Taylor Swift donating to Hendersonville? Time will tell if the winning continues at Beech. New schools opening usually take a few years to see the results. Lots of coaching changes coming to Shackle Island. And I am not implying anything wrong with Beech. Multiple reasons for the changes. Crabtree is hands down the best FB coach in Sumner County (see record, championships, etc). But,..........time will tell.
