The main problem for OR is that the 1970’s are over.

It's the Law of Averages. It catches everybody eventually. But that's not that Maryville won't be back it true form next year or two years from now. Some of you sound like it's over for good. I'd still rather be "Maryville" than anybody else.

Good win ER… you did had several breaks including the touchdown at the end… horrible refs. I will say that you guys are not what you think you are and will have a tough time with Westy. The difference in the records this year between H2O and ER is scheduling. These teams are not to far apart!

Yes they did. If we lose to the eventual champions, or repeat silver team, no shame in that. Still lots of football left. But man those Rebels were impressive, salute to them.

Season's not over yet ... hopefully we'll go as far as Mt Juliet ! Congratulations Cleveland ! Gotta be a great feeling and you guys definitely played your hearts out ! Maryville team definitely looked flat , I'm starting to wonder about the leadership ... they have to know they have a huge target on their back every time they put the uniform on . Maryville making way too many undisciplined mistakes , and some by the veterans who need to be the Leaders . I've got to mention the 3 man Rush thing going on , I absolutely hate it ! Tennessee nearly lost to Florida by playing passive Defense and Maryville is doing the same thing . Everyone thinks Maryville they think Offense , Maryville won a ton of State Championships by playing Super aggressive on Defense ! If your Secondary is not a strength dropping 8 men back is NOT the only way to help them , the QB running for his life is a huge help to the secondary !! We have some extremely athletic Defensive ends this year that could pressure any QB but it seems like their hands get tied a LOT !! Go back to July threads in the first 7 on 7 against Anderson County game and see if I didn't try to get everyone prepared for for what was coming. Some got back at me like I was some kind of Negative Nellie but I know what I saw that day. Receivers that clearly couldn't break free if their grandmother were covering them and a kid that clearly already knew who he was throwing it to even if there were others open. Parts of the offense are so pitiful we depend on Noah Vaughn to get us out of trouble. Cleveland came in with a plan to stop Noah in the first half and did hold him to 36 yards on ten carries which is why they led at half 14-7. Then what little we did recover on offense the second half the defense said here hold my beer. 20 years down the drain and if we even play half this bad against West they'll mercy rule us.

First region lost for Maryville in over 20 years, impressive stuff. The city of Cleveland is already buzzing, happy for our kids.

Congratulations to Cleveland. They deserved to win. I haven't seen a Maryville team in years this undisciplined.

But I’ll say Springfield has been on the end of some bad spots by the officials! Like I mean terrible spots!

I disagree here as well. Even with the talent pool being low right now in TC and low number of players, a player like TC Payne or a TT Harper would not let their team be 0-6. They changed the whole culture of their teams. Yes I know the saying, "One player can't win a ballgame," but whoever believes that should have watch these 2 guys play. Calhoun and Gregory are both great athletes and I would want both of them on my team any day, BUT they are not the Elite Talent guys that have been mentioned. And that's just being honest.

ER posters all year have been wanting y’all in the top 10. We’ve been outraged over y’all being left out and harpeth being in it for the past 5 weeks!

Everyone knows WB hasn't had a winning season since 2007, but there was a somewhat slow decline from that 9-3 season to the absolute #### show the program is today. About a decade ago WB was winning about 3 games a year on average and looked competitive against really good teams. We played in the toughest region in the state and we were usually competitive against teams not named Maryville. Now we aren't competitive in any facet of the game against anyone we play. WB has had good teams with losing records, but this is not one of those teams. We suck out loud. And there's no excuse for it. We've had younger teams and teams depleted by injuries that were way more watchable and competitive than this 2022 squad. I'm done. I won't watch another game until this program gets serious about having a competent football program. The current state of affairs is an absolute clown show. What's the point of paying coaches and dealing with all the logistical things that having a football program entails if nobody involved is serious about winning? We can't even tackle and our "strength" program isn't making the kids strong. Do our players even practice and do workouts anymore?

That pick 6 was the difference in the game imo. Definitely not what we were use to seeing in the first half. The play calling and execution was alot better 2nd half. Im proud the boys fought and gave themselves a chance to win. Looking forward to Nov.

Your exactly right. That was so easy to see in that 7 on 7 game with Anderson County I keep carrying on about.. Our dB's made their receivers look like all stars that day. Our dB's looked like the tryouts for the freshman team that day.

You have to play some defense to close the gap. One of the worse defenses in supposedly a region contender that I have seen in a long time. When cold weather comes, if it does, they will really struggle even on offense. You will not go very far in the playoffs giving up, almost 400 yds rushing.

Not all the old timers see it that way ! Us true tc fans know that he has rode the backs of the talent the past three years and lost the big games on his coaching. This season is a true showing of his coaching abilities. Tonight He even declined (at first )the post game interview with the radio station.

Say what you want but some of these things start at the top, TC has made similar mistakes since Blake has been the Coach but have always had the talent to bail him out, they don’t now. Playoff streak is over and anyone not named Satterfield would be canned if this happened, but the old timers around town will pin it on “he ain’t got no talent”, from a Trousdale County alum, I love the TC but this is a daggum joke

EN should win handily. As far as GH beating themselves, did GH collect the win and loss in the record book? GH had a great run last season but several games were very close if I remember correctly. Give credit where it is due. The other team won just like GH did last season.
