  1. Gordonsville and Clay County should be in the top 6-7 teams. Gordonsville annihilated Coalfield and Coalfield is still ranked. Come on voters…

  3. Come on man you obviously don't understand that TSSAA is not going to do that because football is their money maker! That's why come playoff time you will be spending $15 on gofan for every game you attend. The people at TSSAA do not care one bit about student athletes, coaches, or fans. They only think about what is best for them. TSSAA sucks!

  7. Dang I hope we do cross paths at some point, we could share some stories. My childhood was extremely tough but thanks to the Grand creator, I've been very blessed and raised 2 of the finest boy's you would ever want to meet. My problems turned out to be their benefit.I've been EXTREMELY BLESSED.

  8. The Tennessean killed the small local papers. I haven’t bought one in years not pay for their meaningless content. I support the local paper that covers the local schools.

  9. 6A 1 v 2 is wrong. If the season ended today, Murville would be the 2 seed, only because they haven't played Bradley Central. Murville would own the tiebreaker with Far-gut and Bearden. The most likely scenario at the end of the season is that Murville will be the #1 seed and Bradley Central #4 with 2/3 being determined on the last night of the season as Bearden plays Far-Gut.

  11. Thanks for your response. A 5 way tie in a 6 team region sounds impossible to me! I don't think it will happen. I'm still not sure it could happen. My hopes are the same as yours. I would really like to see Haywood beat SGC and Milan beat OCC this week Go Cats! Go Dogs!

  12. Well if you look at the tournament list you will see that pretty much all weekends for tournaments are pretty much filled and to help grow the girls side in the state it’s never a good idea to try to take girls away from other tournaments and also coaches don’t like to split where their girls team goes if there is not a Jv tournament being hosted the same day.

  14. Had 2 pick sixes against Marion week 3 but not against Bledsoe. I think we had one INT. against Bledsoe and may have dropped a few other potential ones but none returned for TDs. Bledsoe's senior running back - #22 played really well against us - had their one score on a reception in which he broke some tackles and worked his way into the end zone. That kid-22-got after the Rams all night on both sides of the ball - but Tyner has some dudes and steadily pulled away. Didn't get to running clock til late in the game and think that will help us against Meigs and in the playoffs to get a four quarter test.

  15. The 1 thing Besty has shown us was show that AC's secondary is suspect to the pass game. Or is it safe to say that by not using their youth will hurt them come playoff time with a lot of their key personal going both ways. Come playoffs the best need to be on the field but the best will need a rest at times. Can they (AC) keep tempo with Both Besty and G-Devils conditioning? Only time will tell, and I wish all TEAMS moving forward a safe and healthy way into the post season. Go Devils!

  16. Luckily for Greeneville we have those well healed benefactors that have help shape Greeneville's Facilities into a top notch program. Some might have played for the Greene Devil's back in the day and also have and had kids come through the program. I'm so glad the Community Supports the Sports program the way they do no matter if it's a home or away game (Oak Ridge last week was a key example with us having more fans than they did at an away game even though we are a smaller school)

  17. The biggest thing after that pick 6 that put the Pirates up 14 - 0 was the continued forcing the pass instead of establishing a run game.

  19. Who were the 8 schools in Metro that fielded a 9th grade football team (BA and MBA don't count)? How about telling us everyone's record and who they played? This will give these kids and their parents some acknowledgment. We know we are not going to see it in any paper.

  20. I’ve seen your team in clips online. I’ve seen Red Bank as well. Fayettevile has more athletes and size. Google them and you will see. Fayettevile has a team full of 3-4A type size and speed. That doesn’t come around often at this level. Enjoy it while you’ve got it. Just my opinion about it.

  21. I wasn’t going to mention them, but yes. Every dollar raised for sports in Greeneville went to sports. Improvements in sport facilities was a cooperation between the school system and city hall which meant it was tax dollars or the generosity of well healed benefactors.

  25. Hville has the #1 SOS in the state just ahead of MBA. MJ is in the 60’s. If MJ played Oakland, Baylor and South Warren KY they would have at least a couple more losses. Good luck the rest of the year and next year in 6-A.

  26. Hville is an example of that. Had to play Baylor and South Warren Ky/ Wilson Co. will not answer the phone when u call. They won’t play Beech or Hville.

  27. Big difference in asking questions or mentioning mistakes vs cursing them & telling them how awful they are. Refs miss calls, coaches make the wrong calls too. Humans brother… all humans.

  28. I think it's the fans' fault. Fans don't do enough. They don't pay enough for tix, equipment, or travel, nor do they give enough time. Fans definitely need to sacrifice more. I think Childress and about a dozen other dudes making $200k a year apiece is justified. If anything, they are underpaid. We simply don't have it in the budget for more refs. Nor to increase the pay for those who do. The solution is to sit quietly during the games and never challenge or even mention any mistakes made by coaches or refs.

  30. I think you are spot on. Tullahoma, if making the playoffs, would face Lexington. If they somehow managed to pull the upset over the #1 seed, I believe it would be a rematch with Marshall Co who will take out Chester Co. Long way to go though. This is a fun time of year! It's good to see the team take advantage of the back half of the schedule. These are games we expect them to win, and they are finally relatively healthy along with suspended players returning. Time to make some hay while the sun is shining!

  33. Is thread more about Hilton’s coaching or schemes or development of players??? Seem to be a good dude, plus he was pretty successful at South. I am sure he needs a couple years before WR would think of making a coaching change

  44. Good Lord how do we have the same conversation EVERY SINGLE YEAR? Albeit, this season its happening 5 months early. It won't happen. It'll never happen. The most likely scenario is they add more divisions and not take them away. Are we done with this? Can we get back to predictions please?
