I was going to message you privately but it's not an option. I want you to know that we do pride ourselves on celebrating our teammates. It comes across wrong sometimes but I can assure you that our kids are never intending to disrespect other teams. I have always made that clear. As a coach I have been on the other side of it and we pride ourselves on playing with class, respect of our opponent, and NEVER DOING ANYTHING AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OTHER TEAM. I apologize whole heartedly if that's how we came across. You guys run an amazing tournament and hopefully our team learns from our experience up here. Have a blessed day.

My guess is they frown on outside food. That said, the concession is professional, and family owned. The popcorn is a bit salty, LOL.

This country could use more Marines and less of the type of people worried about grammar on a football message board.You dont have to yell and cuss to get through to these kids but its not gonna hurt them.What hurts them is the parents or parent who dont hold them accountable and blame everyone else

He definitely doesn't understand and probably runs to the corner and cry's if someone yells at him. Our society in general has become soft. (I won't go into why i think that is because it will ruffle to many feathers) I have been yelled and cussed at by coaches (State Championship coaches at that) before and I turned out just fine, I also wasn't thin skinned and pushed me to be better and respect the heck out of those coaches

I agree. They are one of the best shooting teams I have ever seen period. You guard them 20 foot out, they back up 5 feet and shoot it 25. Y’all’s defense is lights out as well. Gibson County and Huntingdon I am sure will play hard and see what happens, but y’all’s team is a great one for sure and one to be proud of.

You might want to go back and read what I said. The reference was to the fact that Cleveland was rallying and "catching up" to Greeneville.

Yes, I have to agree with you. I’m sitting there and watching the bench cheer and celebrating their teammates on the floor, what’s wrong with that. The comment about the subs still scoring c’mon that’s their chance to play get over it. Don’t like it stop them then from scoring.

Greeneville had a good lead for much of the game. That, and playing on Greeneville's home court, made it difficult for Cleveland, even though they made a great comeback. Regarding the refs, the guy sitting next to me tonight insisted that the refs were intent on making calls that favored Greeneville. I seem to recall mention in this forum of the same thing last year, after Greeneville beat Cleveland. To suggest that referees would go to the length of helping or being partial to one team over another is to take away from the effort made by the Greeneville team. The Hurst sisters both fouled out. That was the difference. As for a lack of leadership, I will agree, except I would apply that to last night's game when the Cleveland coach allowed his starters to mock-scream from the bench as they cheered on their subs, while running up the score against a South Greene team that was obviously bitten by the injury bug.

Thanks ForTheRidge. I just put basketball stuff here in hopes of getting OR posters to come and enjoy the Oak Ridge Boys and Girls Basketball teams threads. I want more posters on there especially those like Bounder and BoyfromSI who go to the games. I watch all the games thanks to David Clary but actually being there gives you a better perspective on how the game went. ...but don't worry guys I will respect this is a football thread and won't force basketball on you. Just heard a great song by the Bothers Osblorne....Weed, Whiskey and Willie. I'm sure they mean Willie Nelson and not WillieTheWildcat but I can dream.
