After that long trip to HV, I’m sure Polk just hopes Referees shows up so the don’t have to travel again Saturday!4 points

Yall lost two games this year. Was losing to Oliver Springs not a bad loss? If it wasn’t will tomorrow night be one? Let me know please so I can get ready to tally a bad loss on the coachodometer. I am just keeping it real2 points

To Henry's credit, they put together a tough schedule no matter who's in their region2 points

I see the bees winning. Being at home and Caine will have Upperman ready. They will make some changes from the first game. Macon has worry about more than 8 and 21. Upperman has had some other guys that have really stepped up as the season has on. If Upperman can keep the border twins in check they win. That’s a tall order they our both really good players. If Upperman can do the long drives that take a lot of clock and keeps Macon offense on the sideline and doesn’t give the offense very many drives. Upperman wins. Upperman offensive line big and could just lean on Macon defensive line and just wear them out. If you give Macon short fields and space and don’t tackle well. Upperman will be getting ready for basketball season. This is going to drama filled game and close probably. I have no problem with Macon sitting on the home side. The Macon fans that do sit on the home side because the visitor side is full or just to crowed for them is fine to me. What if Upperman decides to put a lot fans on the visitors side is the thing. This thing can go both ways and turn into a problem. We our to there watch the game and support our team. This whole thing is stupid to me. People our acting like 5 years old. lol It has been blown out of proportion and needs to be about the game and kids on the field not the stands.2 points

This time it’s the Tigers time to shine! All the Bees want to do is whine about us sitting on “their” side when that’s all they got they don’t have much! At the end of the night it’s not going to matter where anyone sits because the UHS field will be covered in a sea of Macon Blue celebrating! On the Sparta Loudon game I’m calling Warriors for the upset! Yert!2 points

You're butting a stump. Logic, reason, and facts have no affect when dealing with a troll who is only interested in twisting what you say into something he can use to argue with you. You will be frustrated and exhausted in the end, and he will still be a troll.1 point

I’m going with bees. Home team and they wanted to play Macon again. Macon has a good team should be close game. Upperman is just as motivated as Macon is about the game. Caine will have the team ready and motivated. Macon has the talent to win. I just think Upperman will find a way to win tomorrow night. The good thing is the game will be won the field and not on coacht.1 point

Tapp’s offensive play calling is horrendous. He moved to Wing T when CF was dominating his line of scrimmage. Pulling guards and a dominant DL doesn’t spell success. Rusty Bradley called a very good offensive game without a headset on the sidelines, Tapp needs input from up top.1 point

And Southwind is moving up. Good draw for HC, but they will still end up with a tough nonregion schedule.1 point

Not like they're actively ducking competition when you look at their non-region schedules. Now, if you wanted to accuse Smyrna of accepting mediocrity for close to a decade ill agree with that. SC is moving in the right direction and I could see them holding their own in 3-6A1 point

I'm not counting out Maryville, Powell or AC at this point. There is a lot of football to be played and crazy things can and will happen. If everything went chalk all the time, there would be no point in playing. Plus, no one really knows, and y'all know what opinions are like.1 point

Region 3 will be stacked with region games compared to other regions. 8 Region opponents a few have 7 some with 6 .5 and 4 .,...They ought to make it like the electoral college... More region opponents more seeds.. Fewer regional opponents fewer seeds1 point

Because Powell and especially West have played some good teams, a tough schedule. Page and Beech have not. Playing good teams and a tough schedule ultimately makes a team more more prepared to play against the best come championship time. Any coach will agree with that. Could be part of why Page is 0-3 vs Powell and West in state championship games the last 3 years. When Page gets on the field in Cookeville vs a Powell or West, they are across from the best team they have played all year for the first time. That is not the case for West, who will have played 5 teams that all "not would" but could beat Page head to head. I would take Maryville and Alcoa over Page for sure and Anderson County, Bearden and Powell would all be toss ups in my opinion.1 point

Sunbright to Jo Byrns is a 3 hr trip. Would have been more feasible to send Jo Byrns/IA west to Region 6, then send three more teams east with Clay and RBS (Sunbright/Oakdale/Wartburg)?1 point

Who ever wins Region 3 will represent the East more than likely. East in 2A is pretty soft with this format unfortunately.1 point

The competition that Beech and Page play is nowhere near the level of what West have played. Page strength of schedule was .4 compared to Powell at 14 and West at 25. No way to compare teams that haven't even played common opponents. I will believe it when I see Beech or Page beat the East rep by double digits. West has played Bearden, Maryville, Alcoa and Anderson County. 2-6A schools that will compete for the championship this year and also played the 3A and 4A defending state champions. If West is the rep from the East, they will be ready to play Beech, Page or whoever it is. I don't think Beech or Page will even be the best team they've played this year.1 point

We've been in regions splitting the time zone since at least 1981, so I don't get why you guys keep getting sent further out. If you had been put in region 3 then that would give regions 3 and 4 5 teams each.1 point

That was put there when the brackets were originally released because it is 4-6A's turn to host the Quarters so winner of Oakland-MJ is hosting no matter how this game turns out1 point

Will be another great matchup. For those that are traveling up, my 2 favorite stores up that way are Lakeside Market and King's Country Store. Refreshments always cold!1 point

West TN is loaded!!! Dyersburg USJ Gibson County South Side South Gibson McKenzie Huntingdon JCS (much better this year) McNairy (Much better this year)1 point

The 5A champ is coming from the bottom half of the bracket. Knox West may make it to Chattanooga because the top half of the bracket is down this year (Region 3 & 4 is a joke). The real Championship game will be round 4 semi-finals game between Beech & Page. The winner of that hoists the Gold Ball by double digits.1 point

Thats what Ive just heard. Apparently one of their best players the past couple years. With him, 6’10’’ Coles, and some formidable pieces. I would have to say WH Heritage will be a contender in 2A.1 point

Powell should get this one if they can keep the drive stopping/sustaining penalties to a minimum.1 point

Macon has been on a tear since the Sparta loss which I believe was largely affected by the weather. My unsolicited advice for the Tigers: dance with who brought ya. No way you leave the field thinking 7 should've touched it more. A couple of years ago against us they went Wildcat with Borders, marched it right down the field, but then abandoned it the next drive. Same way Watertown beat Hartsville with Price at QB but refused to do it in the playoffs. Head-scratcher. Pressure is on the favorites at home. My heart wants to say Tigers, but my brain still says Bees. Should be a great one.1 point

I have heard from multiple coaches that Ellison is the one sending out emails for non-region scheduling. Not sure you allow that to happen if he isn't the guy getting the job.1 point

I know that real young guy appreciates that. He’s been thankful to be apart of a championship team. This group is special. They come out and play almost mistake free ball and it starts with the qb! Best decision maker/field general you’ll see up here. He is calm and don’t make mistakes and has a very accurate arm and knows when to pull it down and run. Pretty amazing job for a 1 year qb for sure. I’m excited for the rest of the season. I hope we don’t take Monterey too lightly Friday because we have beat them already. I’ve seen teams dominate a team in regular season then turn around and lose in the playoffs to the same team. Can’t let that happen1 point

do not speed around Henderson or the Chester County area. The PoPo will ring up up for a fat ticket. And BTW I believe PC wins easily. Chester County region was weak this year compared to previous years. JMO1 point

What years were those appearances? Google says he was 3-3. All I know is I watched yall in playoffs in 2019 and that team had no business losing. Also yall were up 14 or something with a minute left the year before and let Whitwell come back and beat you. Yall have had some bad losses. This Friday going to be another one. I am just keeping it real1 point

Last year Gillum 100% entertained the Grace job. He is now shopping around again for his son due to how bad the Norris middle school team was this past year plus with Alcoa moving up he knows he won’t have a shot to win another. He wants to surround his son with better talent so he is looking for options. You cow people will say it’s a lie and won’t believe me but you heard it here first.1 point

His response was exactly what I said. It doesn’t matter as an 8th grader. You could lived zoned for Powell and attend Bearden and play as a freshman with the same Powell address if you get accepted at Bearden. It’s open enrollment and most school systems have this in place all over the state. The only way the TSSAA cares is if you have a varsity record for high school and then transfer that’s when the change of address has to happen or sit out a year. Alcoa’s QB a few years back transferred from Catholic and didn’t change addresses. Sat out a full year from his last game he played at Catholic and lead them to a State Championship and the Offensive MVP in that game.1 point

Maybe so but there was a time not long ago yall chocked more games that mattered than you won. Prep coaches are growing as professionals like all men do. I am just keeping it real1 point

You add absolutely nothing to the forums. Name calling and insults are not defending your program or school. Rather, it boost the representative comments related to the obvious cheating with the “Academy”. Because success has eluded Milan for so long, the county, town, administration of the school do not even care that they have been caught cheating nor do they (you) care how it looks. Your representative on here (BPM) has even quieted down and changed his moderation. Just know that whatever success Milan has in sports is going to have a public asterisk next to it much as the steroid era of MLB.1 point

2 winning seasons in the last 40 years. That's not a coaching problem. I know the TSSAA has already started using a success factor for D-II , but I think the more pressing issue should be coming up with something that allows schools like Howard and Warren Co. to drop down instead of just getting pounded year after year1 point
