Not football related, but the best news I've heard in a long time.....

I went to Geno's coaching clinic back in the fall. I total agree with you. Back in 2018, I went to a UCLA women's practice and watched them scrimmage the male practice players. It was 18-0 before the women scored
That much young talent coming up? I know they graduated a pretty big class this year off a rather small team. Y'all had to lose 10 or so off a team of like 25 athletes.
I guess Guillem is holding out on us since he just told 5Star Preps that we only return 2 starters on O and have to replace our entire Oline. Don’t see how they would be better than Alcoa’s line who lost 1 starter on it but to each their own. Maybe he brought in some OLine men from other places.
Yep…because they were the best coached team. I watched Macon get beat soundly by East Robertson in a scrimmage in August, in December Macon was holding a gold ball. Macon didn’t have more talent than Haywood, Melrose, Pearl, Marshall, Anderson, Greenville, Elizabethton, and Upperman but they played hard and were the best coached team every time they ran onto the field.
Macon Co had a once in a generation type of team? They didn’t even host a playoff game this year till the semi’s. They were not the most talented team in the east, they were probably the 6th or 7th most talented team in 4A…they were coached extremely well and played extremely hard.
It's a great offense to run if you don't have massive O-linemen. The O-line rule is OIL: on, inside, linebacker-pretty easy to understand. It's predicated on the idea that you you don't have to block the opponent's best d-lineman (can change based on the inside or outside veer). Whatever that d-lineman does is going to be wrong (as long as the qb reads it correctly). All the plays start out looking to be the exact same play, but aren't. When I was at Watauga County, NC we added jet scheme with a lot of qb runs. Watauga in the last 10 years has been killing people with it. In 2016 I was the WR coach at Watauga Co. (what I called Outside Guards) and we led 4A (Largest classification) in scoring and were 2nd in scoring in the entire state. It's extremely hard to defend. Most people think that the B back is a fullback but really the type of Runningback that thrives as a B back is more of an old school I formation tailback. Gotta have a qb that's willing to run, too. We converted a lot of kids who thought they were receivers to the wingback position. It's easy to get in trips or doubles out of. it to run pass concepts.
Not sure how you look at Hartsfield’s resume versus the guy the hired and make the decision they made. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised… it is Lawrence County
