  2. I normally only look at this message board for entertainment purposes only, and normally it is very entertaining! What is not entertaining is you throwing my Son’s name into a situation that he has nothing to do with. Hunter is not even a boarding student, and has no involvement in anything like this. He has done nothing but represent TN with pride at every possible event imaginable. I would suggest you leave his and my family’s name out of your mouth, when you decide to discuss tabloid gossip especially when you have no idea what you are talking about! I am not hiding behind any screen names, and if you would like to discuss it further you can contact me directly. I am very proud of what he has accomplished, and his commitment recently to further his career at Indiana University. As a father I would expect grown men to show more discretion when discussing a terrible incident like this, and not throw around accusations against kids that have nothing to do with the situation. You should be ashamed of the disregard you have shown to kids that have nothing to do with this. Sullying a kids reputation for your entertainment is disgusting.

  3. Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Been a very bad day to be woken up at 5.30 to hear someone on the other line telling me my wife has passed away. I've known for a couple of weeks things were not looking good. I found her Monday Morning unconscoius and called an ambulance and I was told lastnight things were looking much better but she had a heart attack and passed on this morning around 4 a.m. There were many times over the past three years I couldn't go to the ballgames because I didn't want to leave her alone. I know she is in a better place as to be in the pain she has been in the past few years.

  4. As hard as it was to witness everything that happened after the game Friday night, I take comfort in knowing that Upperman’s biggest fan went from witnessing the greatest win in school history to witnessing the face of his savior. There is never a good time to lose someone we love but for Mr butler, what a wonderful thing to witness as the last image he ever saw. From one of his greatest nights to his greatest eternal reward. I could care less about all this other junk you all are taking about. In the game of life, none of it matters. Go win the gold ball for him Bees!

  6. We all get on here debate, babble, banter, ridicule, poke, pick, and try to stir a pot. But let's all remember that tonight, for some of these boys, it is the last 48 minutes most of them will ever wear a football jersey. We have all been there. The last time the roar of the crowd makes the bleachers shake. The last time you get to smell that grass. The smell of blood, sweat, and tears that permiate a locker room. The smell of a charcoal grill in the air as you begin warm ups. The little boy as seen through the eyes of mom and dad that takes that one final glance in the stands before the toe meets the leather of the football to get the, "I love you....play hard" look or mouthing of the lips. The final time you run through that victory line, or through that big blow up helmet, or break through that sign those cheerleaders have made. Memories that will forever be cemented in the minds and hearts of these young men. It's more than a game. It's the sum total of many years of hard work, and life lessons that will pay off way more than a football game ever will. Good luck to all tonight and stay injury free.

  8. Big reason why there's a shortage: $115 per Friday night game ... 3:30-5:30 .. Drive to game (you pay the gas) 5:30-7:00 .. Get dressed, pregame, talk to coaches, go thru all checklists for the game, check equipment 7:00-8:00 .. Kickoff and first half (get screamed and cursed at, run about a mile) 8:00-8:20 .. Halftime (rest, eat a bag of chips and a bottle of water if the school is nice enough to provide it) 8:20-9:30 .. 2nd half (get cursed and screamed at even worse, especially if the game is tight going down the stretch, run another mile) 9:30 -10:00 .. Leave the field with police as security, shower, change clothes, leave the school 10:00-10:15 .. Drive to the closest fast food joint because you're starving 10:15-10:45 .. wait in line and eventually scarf down a dry burger with fries 10:45-12:45 .. Drive home (you once again pay the gas) Hopefully be in bed by 1:30 am .. 3:30 - 12:30 is 9 hours ... $115 for 9 hours equals $12.77 per hour Oh yeah, take off $20 in gas .. $95 for 9 hours equals $10.50 per hour .. (You've also spent $400 on equipment, officials pants, shirts, shoes, flags etc) Any idea what a high school profits on a Friday night game ??? These officials are the guys you gotta have to make that money ... They do it because they love it .. not for the money ... While you are watching your kids play, they are away from their families .. Pay em .. they earn it .. and from what they have to go thru, they deserve it !!!!

  10. Here is the problem I see and this is not a shot at Sweetwater but goes for any program. You hire a coach to lead your program so let him lead your program. (I don't care who the man plays or if someone else that the admin or fans think is better) If he runs it into the ground in one year then fire his tail but don't suspend a coach in the middle of a season because he wasn't playing the Admin or Fans favorite of who they think should be the QB. You are going to have no head coach wanting to coach at a program that has done what Sweetwater has just done. Administration is for hiring and not Coaching, Fans are for enjoyment of the game and cheering on the team not coaching. The head football coach is who gets to decide who starts and who doesn't, it's as simple as that.

  12. Ok. I simply cant be the bigger person here and not say anything to defend my 19 year old son. Yes I am Masons Dad. I’m sure I’m biased but I do try and view both my boys objectively and call it like it is. I feel it’s the only way to prepare properly for life. I certainly don’t think either are perfect angels and do everything right. How could they…..according to what I know….there is only one perfect being, and its none of us! First Mason is not the “Crown Prince of Tennessee Wrestling” as it was written. There have been numerous wrestlers from Tennessee, with accomplishments/accolades far greater than Mason. I can name a few right off….Jordan Leen, Matt Keller, Simpson, Kevin Ward, Nick Marable (all from different schools) that have gone on after high school and accomplished great things. Mason is just starting his post high school career. I would however, include Mason in with some of the best Tennessee high school wrestlers. I would not say he was the best or even close to the best. There are numerous 4 timer state champions, and two 5 timers. Mason won only three. But, he was a 5 time state finalist and OW once. He was a 3 time National Prep finalist, 3 time NHSCA finalist 1 time Champ, Fargo double AA. He had the the great fortune of competing on a cadet world team. He received the State Dave Schultz award. In my opinion he was a pretty good high school wrestler. These accomplishments in high school mean absolutely NOTHING at this next level. Mason has just started this chapter and yes it has not been pretty thus far. Without being able to see in the future, I cant tell you what hes going to accomplish or not accomplish at this next level. But I assure you he wants to make the line up at Cornell. Hes experienced a couple of setbacks with injuries actually starting with a completely torn PCL and slightly torn LCL and posterior corner ligaments damaged in his knee back from summer prior to last season. He was off the mat for 6 months then. He reinjured the same LCL (no tear) at fargo again this summer. Missed another month plus before heading to Cornell. Had a great preseason of training there and then came down with something that rendered him unable to even snap his fingers with either hand. After numerous dr visits and another month off the mat, that was cleared up with medicine and gratefully not returned. 2 days after returning to practice, he injured his ankle spraining ligaments. Another 2 plus weeks off the mat yet again. Finally on December 16th after getting home for the break he got back on the mat to try and prepare the best he could for the Scuffle. Obviously I knew he was not prepared for this tournament, but he was not going to miss it for anything. It was apparent he doubted his readiness as well and was intimidated to wrestle Joe Smith right out of the gate. No question he was gassed very early into his second match. I agree with the comment for calling injury time to catch his breath….not acceptable in my book either. But im not the one out there competing knowing a lot of eyes are on him hoping he fails, confused and scared of what happens if he loses again. I can only assume he truly felt he couldn’t breath, panicked and called for injury time. I disagree with the fact he does this frequently. Hes wrestled big time situations like this before and should have been able to overcome this. But he didn’t….so we have a discussion and point out his faults and where he needs to improve. Believe me there are a lot of areas needing improvement. Like I said previously, don’t know the future, but I know him…. He will not give up on what he really wants! I realize my post may be viewed as a parent offering up excuses for his child, and that’s fine if it is. That’s not why I responded though. I just thought IGNORANT people might need some enlightenment, so the next time they attack the character of someone they do not obviously know, they have all the background. They might still have the same opinion of Mason after getting to know him?? Again I am his dad and maybe blind to some of his faults, but I most definitely do NOT think he is the villain some have attempted to make him out to be. I have told him to view these comments. I hope he does it in a way he can learn from them, make it positive and not only see it as a personal attack from individuals hiding behind screen names. Hoping only to see him fail. I thank you once again for another learning opportunity for Mason!! Please let me know if you would prefer my thank you in person. Darren Reiniche

  13. Kicked out 22 this morning. They come in from Europe and Asia overnight when I am sleeping. Most are from India, others are using VPNs which change every time they use them. Several from Moscow this morning. Can't block them very easily. Had 130 emails from the same group, using my "Contact CoachT" link. Most of them are working for companies. They don't tend to come in on the weekends when they are off. There is an authentication process but these don't seem to be bots, They appear to be individuals so they can answer the authentication questions as long as they have valid email addresses. They also appear to use AI to write posts. Pay subscriptions might stop it but then there might not be anyone here but me and a few others. We'll come up with an answer. Just bear with us. In the meantime, report those posts but don't click on the links.

  14. God is Great ALL THE TIME. Prayers have been answered. Michael is no longer critical and will possibly be released from the hospital this weekend. We rejoice in the continued time we are blessed with him. Please continue to pray for him as we await word from the Cleveland Clinic on the 3 major transplants he needs. His condition changes rapidly so we approach all things cautiously..

  15. Maryville has won 17 championships under the playoff system. Only Alcoa has won more but head to head Maryville owns a 66-25 lead in the series. That means Alcoa would have to win 42 straight to overtake Maryville in the series. I would be over 100 years old if that happened. What cracks me up is a guy from Cheatham County jumps on the Alcoa bandwagon. I guess since Cheatham County hasn't never won anything you need to find someone else to root for. You have no affiliation to Alcoa but you are their biggest cheerleader. It reminds me of all these Tennessee born and bred people jumping on the Alabama bandwagon.

  16. Murphy Fair did a lot of great things for high school football across the state of TN for such a long period of time. Donovan Stewart does an amazing job covering high school football as well. Instead of criticizing and trying to throw shade at Murphy Fair for what he knew/didn’t know perhaps you should be appreciative of the good things he did to promote high school football and young people across the state for so many years. Happy Retirement Murphy! Hope to catch you at a game sometime.

  17. You do realize that HS football is there for the kids, right? It's easy for you to throw some elitist comment out there that degrades struggling programs, but what isn't easy is to elevate struggling programs into a competitive team every night of the season. One last thing, football is elective...kids aren't forced to participate in an activity that you obviously think is an embarrassment to them if they don't achieve a certain level of success, but if they do elect to play, they get the same sense of belonging, the same tutelage and mentorship, the same physical fitness, and the same commitment of their time away from elements of society detrimental to them becoming productive citizens. Take the option to play, even for a "bad" (your perception) team, away from those who wish to play and you've taken something from them that you can't replace.

  18. Beware. Rant ahead. A few things. The board of control. Most of the members have no skin in the game for wrestling. While several of them are from schools that technically have wrestling programs, Bradley and Warren County are really the only schools who are invested in wrestling year in and year out. (no offense to Hamblen or CR or those who are trying) Morristown-Hamblen High School West Memphis Central High School Evangelical Christian School Donelson Christian Academy Webb School of Knoxville Cane Ridge High School Milan High School Bradley Central High School Warren Co. Schools (Director) Loretto High School Trinity Christian Academy Fulton High School Who are the "wrestling schools" in that list? So when Mark Reeves or anyone else makes a suggestion regarding wrestling, they are almost always going to go a long with what his proposals are. They dont know any better. "A sixteen man bracket over three days? Sure, sounds good to us." Obviously, the board of control does not understand the sport of wrestling. The 16 man bracket for AA is a load of crap too. It does not hurt to have a 32 man bracket for the large schools. For you purists out there who cry about only the best making it to state, the best kids are going to be there regardless. Why shut out a bunch of kids who are on the fringe of being the best? It doesnt hurt the tournament for them to be there and get put out on the first day. Now, a lot of schools will no longer have a state qualifier. "Oh tell them to work harder." No. That doesn't cut it. If you really care about wrestling, you would want to give every kid the chance to learn and appreciate what wrestling offers... regardless if they have a mediocre coach, or are in a small town, or have administration that isnt supportive. More kids need to "make it to state". A couple of years ago, at the state tournament, there were a lot of schools who only had one kid, Teams like Kingsbury, South Doyle, Karns, Hillsboro. When is the next time you are gonna see one of those kids at state? Its gonna be a cold day in heck..... I'm sure that will be good for recruiting wrestlers at those schools. "Our last state qualifier was 5 years ago." "Yeah Coach, no thanks." And from another angle, there are a lot more kids in AA schools than A schools, but the same number make it to state? According to the TSSAA website, AA has 126,773 students. Single A has only 60,735. Double the numbers, but the same size bracket for the state tournament? Was someone worried that the A schools were going to be mad? Girls - - I want the girls, but I have been told that the boy's bracket might have been cut to stay in line with what is offered for girls. I would think that if the girls had the numbers that the boys had, it would make sense to have a 32 man bracket for them as well. Sub-State - No reason for it. I have yet to hear what was broken about our old system. Bottom line, as I have said many times, the more kids wrestling in the championship event, the better off wrestling will be in Tennessee. We need to see more schools sending their teams to the state tournament with police escorts. We need to see more billboards congratulating wrestlers making it to state. We need to see more kids going back home and telling their friends about how they finally made it to state. We need more mons and dads posting their kids picture on Facebook. We dont need less of any of those things.

  20. We are at the mid point in the season for a lot of teams. The region races will start playing out and it will be play-off time before you know it. I just want to look at each region and start looking at who is a contender and who may get to be a dark horse. 10 teams in 5A are still undefeated Beech, Cherokee, Gallatin, Knox Central, Knox Halls, Powell, Summit, and Knox West at 5-0 and David Crockett and Rhea County at 4-0. Region 1 vs Region 2 picture Region 1 has a 3 horse race for the top spot at this point with Cherokee, David Crockett, and Tennessee High. The battle for 4th place in the region will sort its self off since the 4 teams that are battling for it will play each other. Region 2 Like Region 1 region 2 is at this point a 3 horse race for the top spot between some teams that could make some noise in the playoffs. Knox central, Knox Halls, and South Doyle will battle out for the top 3 spots. Knox Carter and Knox Gibbs will be fighting it out for 4th in this region. If the playoffs started Friday (based on current standings) Cherokee vs Knox Carter Knox Central vs Tennessee David Crockett vs South Doyle Knox Halls vs Daniel Boone Region 3 vs Region 4 Region 3 at this point is a 2 horse race between Knox West and Powell for the top spot. Oct 18th will pretty much decide the region. Oak Ridge could challenge for 2nd but they are going to have to have some luck and play a great game on the road at Powell. 4th place currently is Karns. Karns still has to beat Campbell and Clinton to seal the deal but things are looking good for the beavers. Region 4 its pretty simple Rhea vs Soddy will decide the region. I’ll admit it Rhea has surprised me a little starting 4-0. Soddy has also surprised me with the lack of offensive production in 3 of their 4 games. I look for WV to beat Lenoir City for 3rd. If the playoffs started Friday (based on current standings) Powell vs Lenoir City Soddy vs Oak Ridge Knox West vs Walker Valley Rhea Co vs Karns Region 5 vs Region 6 Region 5 I think Page and Summit will be the game that decides the region. However, the rest of the region will be interesting to watch how it plays out with Columbia, Shelbyville, Lincoln County and Franklin County. Region 6 Is pretty much a 2 horse race between Gallatin and Beech which is going to be a great football game. Hillsboro I think is a solid 3rd but could get 2nd if the beat Beech. Hunters lane I think will round out the top 4. If the playoffs started Friday (based on current standings) Summit vs Hunters Lane Beech vs Columbia Page vs Hillsboro Gallatin vs Lincoln Co Region 7 vs Region 8 Region 7 I believe Henry County has this region won. Kenwood is off to a 2-0 start in region play but there is still a lot of football to be played. Dyer Co, Northwest, Clarksville, and West Creek will decide 3 and 4th. Region 8 Region 8 is a two horse race with Southwind and Ridgeway. 3 and 4 in the region will probably come down to Mumford and Kirby maybe Overton too. If the playoffs started Friday (based on current standings) Henry Co vs Kirby Ridgeway vs Dyer Co Kenwood vs Munford Southwind vs Northwest

  22. I will say this I wasn’t there for the situation this last weekend but it has been building up for 4 years. 1. It’s not the first time he has talked about my kid in a negative manner. We have heard about it from other coaches, kids and even from his wrestlers. I have a huge network of people that I keep in touch with, he must not know. 2. I don’t concern myself with people like him so I brush it off and focus on the people that have my son’s best interest at hand. Mom on the other has had enough of it and it finally came out. 3. Landon did snap back at him when he overheard and that issue has been addressed. 4. I will be the first to admit my son is an a**hole on that mat and carries a chip with because of coaches like him. We don’t wrestle for Williamson county championships we wrestle like we are going D1 and that won’t change. But if you actually know my kid you know he’s far from it.

  24. To quote the great American poet Dave Chappelle, “or, you COULD shut the @&$! up .” I don’t care if they recruit or not. I don’t care if Mr Jones funds the toilet paper yall wipe your arse with. I just find you in particular very tiring. You. Not Cleveland. Not Bosken. Not Knox. Not the 10 year contract or the home/home that didn’t happen, just you. As a matter of fact, after reading your posts for the last week, whatever Jones is or is not giving surely isn’t enough to deal with petulant people like you all of the time. Cleveland probably deserves more. You know what you’re like? You’re like the drunk at the bar that floats around telling people the same joke over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, then wants to fight everyone when no one finds it funny. oh wait…I think I’m supposed to type “hahahahaha” or “lol” after everything, aren’t I? That’s how your mentally deficient language works, right? Lol hahahahaha lol Do some math so your brain will overload and you’ll be quiet for a while. Let me help by giving you a problem; 2+2 Everyone let’s be quiet so he can concentrate. He’ll be back to wipe poo all over the walls again shortly. I have no problem with any of the points you’ve made. I have no issue with whether Cleveland recruits. Is funded. Isn’t funded. Doesn’t recruit. Partially recruits. Thinks about recruiting. None of it. Y’all do you. Y’all are the premier program in the state, and you’re doing something right, otherwise the program wouldn’t catch such heck in a message board full of anonymous posts. But YOU are obnoxious. Your son is a TREMENDOUS wrestler. But YOU, holy sht, I think everyone understands what it’s like to have bamboo shards shoved underneath their fingernails at this point. I feel for your wife or girlfriend. If you’re divorced, I understand why your ex wife left. I wonder how you actually reproduced, to be honest. Like, somewhere you found a woman that would lay with you and squat out kids. That’s amazing. Absolutely astonishing. Baffling, really. I give you credit there. With everything you have going against you, personality wise, the fact that you pulled that off is quite an achievement. So kudos to you, I suppose.

  28. Long post… First off, I want to say Coach Webster has been great for this community and school. The fella has been here since 1998 and has brought consistency that H2O had not seen in the 90’s! Have I always agree with him… no, but his record speaks for itself. I have seen years where I think he overachieved ( last year comes to mind) and years where I think he underachieved (2020). The guy has continued to work hard through some very trying times personally, so all in all I think he’s been a great coach and a even better dude! Now with that being said… I watched the game via the stream last night due to travel and paid a lot of attention to the sideline which I never do. While I was focusing on this and our coach. I noticed a man that had checked out. He showed no emotion and I never really saw him coaching up anyone. There were times that his assistants were looking at him for help and it seemed like his body language was one of someone who doesn’t care and his team reflected his attitude! I watched as kids on the bench were dancing and what looked liked joking around as their team was being beat 21-7!! This to me was a reflection of their coaches attitude. If he don’t care why should we!?! Now was this just a one game and or season scenario… I don’t know, but I do know to be a good leader you have to have the want to and the drive to compete! Has Coach Webster loss the fire to coach… I don’t know, but some things need to be figured out before next year or you will see the same results!

  29. Here is one problem I think UTC has. On June 15th of last year the recruiting process opened up for my son. He had over 30 Division 1 schools call him on the first day, in the first 3 months on the recruiting process he had 8-9 home visits and 4 more scheduled before he committed to VT. I certainly am not saying this to brag about my boy but to say that UTC wasn’t in the mix. One of the coaches text Hunter once from UTC and that was it. No phone calls, no Offical visit request, just silence. At the time Hunter was ranked #10 for the class of 2023. A top recruit in my opinion but UTC didn’t make any effort to recruit him. I said all of that to say this. I don’t believe that UTC goes after the top recruits. I believe they get about 5 scholarships so they don’t have a lot of money to throw around, so they just aim a little lower. But dang you have to try to get the in state studs. I am extremely grateful that TN has a D1 program and I like the coaches a lot just think they need to recruit a little more aggressively.

  31. It’s a rare occasion that would cause me to begin a new thread on here, but I feel that this is such an occasion. I have nothing against Elizabethton, but it has been a long time since I have been as happy for a high school coach as I am for Coach John Olive. Although he is given credit for it by diehard Maryville fans, 99% of high school football fans have no idea that Coach Olive is responsible for the Maryville Football Dynasty. Coach Olive served as head coach at Maryville High in the late 80’s and early 90’s when their program had been irrelevant for 15 years. What few times they did qualify for the playoffs, they were blown out in the first round. After the 1990 season, Coach Olive was in the market for a new DC and took a chance by reaching out to longtime Rhea Co. DC Tim Hammontree, who along with HC the late Bill Horton, had just finished an incredible 10 year run that included 2 runner-up finishes in the state’s highest class. Sensing it was time for a change, Hammontree accepted the offer. 2 years later Olive accepted the HC job at Tullahoma. Now, it sounds crazy today to say that a coach would leave Maryville for Tullahoma, but at the time it was seen as a big step up. Maryville promoted Hammontree to HC, and he hired an unknown named George Quarles as OC, and 5 years later Maryville was state champs. Hammontree then left for a job in Georgia, and Quarles was promoted to HC. 15 years later, Quarles had the highest winning percentage in America. I know from communicating with Maryville fans that they have the upmost respect for Coach Olive and are very happy for him Congrats on a job well done!!

  32. Coach what makes it real difficult is thinking of those he left here that love him ! This forces us all to face our mortality ! Now I say we all go out and follow Mikes example ! Find something we are passionate about, put our best effort towards whatever that is and love it unconditionally, ask nothing in return ! God gave us that Molder Man and allowed him to touch everyone in different ways for a reason ! I know as a man I wanna “fix” everything and this just shows we can’t control much in reality except the legacy we leave !

  33. Now...as for Haywood....you know what I didn’t see in those kids? Quit. They NEVER gave up. You know what i did see? Great sportsmanship. It was so awesome to see, both teams really, helping each other up, acknowledging good plays, and just having a mutual respect for each other. Coach Chris is doing a great job with these young men. And after the horrific situations with Covid they have been through, it hurt me to see them hurting. Please let them know, Cyclone Nation will be praying for them and their families and they have our respect and brotherly love. It’s always a pleasure playing against great kids, from great communities, because of great coaches and families. Respect.......

Simple solution here is to mandate Every player planning to participate in a game MUST produce two negative tests over a 72 hour period. If that happens, no reason to prevent them from playing! Am I the only person in this state that can use just an ounce of common sense???

  36. Waste of your time buddy. They think they have the greatest fans and also the greatest coach in the history of sports. The living legend grider has got out coached the last 3 times he has faced greenback. I will admit that as a whole unit south Pitt had the upper hand in total talent. But that sweep left and sweep right will eventually get stopped against good teams. If he is the greatest coach ever why are you guys not a balanced team. With those kind of athletes you should throw for 200 and rush for 200 every game. Do any of you ever wonder how many gold balls you might have won the past 10 years if you had a coach who could draw up more than five plays

  37. Thank you to all who have served! We enjoy (and take for granted) freedoms that few societies have ever experienced since the beginning of civilization, and it's due to those who have fought to secure and preserve our independence. Within my lifetime, our boarders have never been threatened, nor our freedoms to worship as we choose, pursue financial security, or gather with whomever we wish been infringed upon... for all that our society owes our military a debt of gratitude that can never be overpaid. Sincerely, thank you all.

  38. Lets make a story up that'll help you understand. A few years back in a far away land was a Ferrari dealership. The Sales Manager could do no wrong. Sales were off the charts. Sales ability mattered not. He was selling Ferrari's for shadsake. Things were going along swimmingly until whispers and rumors caused an audit of the company books. As Law Enforcement dialed in the Sales Manager quickly left the area. No hard feelings by the dealership and stock holders the problem was gone. Before long the Sales Manager interviewed at a new dealership. They sold Yugo's and Daewoo's. The Manager convinced the CEO he could turn them into a powerhouse dealership in a very few years. The CEO listened as he sipped a Cupp of coffee. He knew several of the other applicants but was mesmerized by the Ferrari salesmans promises of the future and dreamt of the glory and adulation that would come his way for making such an astute hire. Several years have passed since that day and the results are abysmal. The CEO has painted himself into a corner by his inaction and failure to take the reins and restore order. The dealership is now the town joke and all who know the management know them as weak and ineffective as they watch their key employees leave for other dealerships. The Sales Manager sees the writing on the wall again and wishes to use his charlatan skills to dupe another dealership but alas the word is out and he finds nobody ready to entertain him or his services. Did that help GWAVE1?

  39. If True, I don't blame Slover one bit! You hired him to lead your program so let him lead your program. The admin needs to keep their mouth shut when it comes to who should start and who shouldn't

  40. Just read a great article on Tennessean.com concerning Coach Chad Watson from Gallatin Football. I personally have no connection to the program but this makes me want to donate!!! Hope I am restating the facts correctly…. the send off gift for seniors this is year was picking out new suits. ( which they will also wear to football banquet ). Seems the group went to a men’s shop recently to be make their own choice, be fitted and arrange the purchase. Coach stated funds from gate revenue and other folks in the community are picking up the tab!! Watson stated while some go on to play college ball, most player's football careers end with the last high school game. Fantastic send off for his seniors!! Class act!! Hats off to Joseph Spears for bringing us the article and the folks at GHS should be so proud. Go Green Wave!!

  44. The liberal media is ruining this country. They have created wide spread panic over the flu. They will try anything say anything to regain power and get Trump out of office. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. In 6 months we will all look back and see how idiotic this was. It’s a scam put on by Democrats and their media counterparts. So y’all just keep listening the political hacks on CNN and MSDNC and they will ruin your lives!

  45. Great game to watch. Heartbreaking game to be a part of at the same time. Congrats to the Cherokees and good luck next week. It was good to meet a few of you Greenback guys before the game as well. Congratulations on another good season for the Pirates and thank you for the memories that this season brought. We could talk about missed opportunities in this game but then you would have to talk about the missed opportunities that Greenback had as well so in the end it all balances out. Hold your heads up boys, it was a great ride. Good luck to the seniors on your future endeavors. And for those returning, hit the weight room and let's make some more memories next season.

  46. The Rebels practiced at 6:15 this morning. Not because of the heat though. Coach Hunt invited 30 of our friends from the special education classes in Maryville City Schools out to a camp at the Skeeter. I was blessed to get to watch my 6 year old godson who has Down syndrome have the time of his life. All the kids got to wear Red Rebel jerseys. Walk through the tunnel from the locker room, while Back in Black played over the speakers. Then they ran through the M that the Cheerleaders hold. Then the coaches and football players helped them throw the football, do tackling drills and then an obstacle course to the end zone. And they got a T-shirt. His momma texted me and said I will cry when I see him in it in the morning. I will never forget this. It is truly great to be a Maryville Rebel.
